River Hotel    

Terrific location at a great price; we had a great view; loved the water bottle station in the elevator lobby on our floor; rather drab interior décor; good, strong shower and big enough for both of us

bathroom a bit small; café was more of a bar than place to have breakfast, but there was a Corner Bakery a few doors away; not much to dislike, actually

This hotel was convenient for the Michigan Avenue and State Street shopping areas. The room we had overlooked Wacker Drive and the Chicago River. We particularly liked the bottled water available on each floor.

There was nothing not to like about this hotel.

Location is really good.

Friendly, wecoming reception staff. Location right on the river, perfect for visitors to the city. Tour buses stop opposite the hotel & only a short walk to parks & main shopping area. Spacious room with fabulous river view.

Location was great, on the bus line and near the L. Nice view of the river and windows that open for fresh air. Liked the architecture of the building. Filtered water dispensers on the room floors is a great idea.

Exhaust fan in bathroom was loud and could not be shut off, had to keep the door shut. Received incorrect information regarding a tour we booked through the front desk.

Location, location, location. It could not have been better.

All staff were friendly but the check-in environment at a kiosk in the entry way was not very personable. Room was very small and no iron or ironing board. They were available but not easily known if we didn't ask. I would have liked a concierge or a knowledgeble desk person to ask questions of.

The room that i reserved was not available instead of telling me this I was placed in a smaller room with 2 small beds that had to be converted into a big one..

Very central location

Room was great--small, but very comfortable. Cannot beat the location, very close and convenient to all the Michigan Ave. favorites and the "L". Would stay there again!

Had a drippy water faucet in the bathroom. Coffee was not tolerable, but there was a small bakery around the corner that you could get coffee from.

Bed was very comfortable, pillows were excellent. Loved espresso machine in second floor lounge. Nice towels, good quality shampoo and soap.

No bathtub, keycard hard to use in elevator, needed to put biscotti out in the morning in lounge, not just in the afternoon.

Location was Awesome... View of river & the city was great... First time.staying downtown Chicago... Would.stay at this hotel again... The late checkout @ 6:00pm was AMAZING...

Clean and reasonable and good safe location.

Wanted to book another night at end of our week that we wanted to come back before we leave town another night and they would not honor same price we paid for 2 nights at the beginning of our trip.

-Good mattress. -Great location.

-Took 3 hours, 1 visit to front desk, and 2 phone calls to front desk to get a corkscrew. -An extra pillow would have been nice. -Weird elevator system. Stayed on 2nd fl. Ice on 9th fl. Had to go to ground fl, switch elevators, then up to get to 9th fl. -Not much water pressure in shower.

Loved the location, cannot say enough of the hotel location. In addition, nice staff, comfortable and luxurious.

A good view of the river side.

The location was absolutely amazing! The staff was friendly, and answered every question with a smile. I will definitely be coming back to this hotel in august!

Rooms were small, but definitely worth the stay!

Location close to what we wanted to do

HATED that we could hear the couple in the other room next to us. Very thankful we didn't have our children with us Also VERY disappointed there wasn't a Bible in the room

There were no negatives regarding our stay here! Everything was excellent and we will definitely book here for our future trips to Chicago!

The room was very modern chic, great design, very comfortable, excellent bathroom. The hotel restaurant, Bacinos, was marvelous. Food, drinks, and staff excellent. Overall I loved everything about my stay.
