Great energy and not the same old boring hotel decorations.
The young vibe of the hotel, the "mod" decor and feel, getting to meet the owner. The staff was friendly.
Waiting at the very busy front desk just for a bottle of water, multiple times. Slow elevator, single elevator. Neighborhood was nice but not entirely safe-feeling outside of a one-block radius.
The food alone is worth the stay. But the beds are also perfect.
staff,service & price was great.
no air cond in room, bath tub very dirty.I am handicapped,no stoping at curb in front of hotel, cones in way,on leaving elevator out of service had to use stairs. there were stains on bedsheets.items in honner basket were missing upon entry to room like a $30.00 bottle of wine?+other items.
Good place to stay! Nice rooms and nice pool area. Very helpful staff. Free water bottles all the time and free fruit and snacks available at the front desk!
Unfortunately the bar on the roof was closed! There were some builders working from shortly after 7 am and it was impossible to find some more sleep! When checking out we told the staff at the reception and they did not charge us the service charge!
I loved everything the rooms the pool. Very nice enviroment. The staff very friendly and nice. It is a fun relaxing place! We just wanted a weekend get away and we picked the right place to go. We will definitely be going back and recommend all my friends here.
The construction going on outside and inside around the pool. Other than that everything was perfect.
Great Location and friendly staff. AMAZING pool area! Even though there was music and noise from the pool, once we were in the room, you couldn't hear any of it.
Staff was excellent and the hotel restaurant, el Gallo Blanco, was delicious and inexpensive. The hotel has a very cool, hip vibe- which my 15 year-old daughter just loved. This was our second time here, and we'll be back again. And the sheets were super soft!
Nothing! It's now our Phoenix hotel.
The staff was friendly and accommodating. It is kind of a quaint hotel. The pool area was nice.
Definitely over priced. We stayed there 2 nights and it was almost $400. There was something crusty on the bedspread. There was no counter space in the bathroom. There was a hole in the bathroom wall where the lighting fixture had been replaced, but the new fixture didn't completely cover the opening in the wall. There was an area where the textured wallpaper hadn't been completely removed before they painted the wall.
Pool closed early
Great Vibe and Great Restaurant. Highly recommend the tacos. Have visited 2 times. Sunset views from the rooftop is also excellent.
Windows in room rattled every time someone opened or closed a door on the floor.
Loved the room--super comfy bed! Loved the music being left on and the scent jar--great service. Super hip place-the pool was great (although we didn't use it we loved it) loved the restaurant.
The lighting in the bathroom was really low--you couldn't see to do makeup etc. The towels were really thin--not what I consider good hotel quality. And--we were left only 2 washcloths and had to call for more. Elevator was slow but could deal with it.
The children really enjoyed the pool area. The pool area catered for all ages which as parents we enjoyed. Also plenty of seating areas around the pool to chill out and relax and enjoy the sun :-).
Super fun and cool place.
Bed was comfortable Liked "green" products in shower Liked location...my childhood haunts Liked rooftop for morning coffee
My room 313 was listed as a room with a pool view. I was back in the corner with a view of a wall. Really felt like false advertising. Felt the same way with the rate...I Had to pay for all these "extras" which were excluded from the stated rate.I Found the entry room funky and uncomfortable. Place was noisy.
I loved how close it was to the airport.. 10 min cab ride... Stafff were very friendly and catered to us whenever we needed something!!
We have stayed at the Clarendon three previous times. We like that it is close to our daughter's university. We also enjoy the restaurant that is connected to the hotel. It's a fun quirky urban hotel.
The staff could use some lessons in courtesy. Something always seems to happen. At this arrival the staff could not find our reservation. Upon showing it to the manager on my iphone she dug through some paperwork and complained that "someone" didn't put into the computer, all while talking outloud. When handing us our keys she never said she was done, or have a nice stay or anything we were kind of waiting around and then realized she was finished. There was a problem with the air conditioner and we were very hot all night and did not sleep well all to wake up to a shower that did not work at all. We had to get keys to the room next door and walk back and forth, there was not so much as a simple apology.
Excellent experience! Only had one problem with a broken shower spout broken by the guests before us but the Clarendon staff resolved the problem quickly and efficiently and were even nice enough yo waive the service fee for our inconvenience. Great stay!!
Loved the ambiance and location. The hotel is "hip" and seducing. Staff was great.
Elevator was out of order upon arrival. Room cleaning was good but not a great attention to detail. That is coffee not replaced cups not cleaned.
Super friendly staff and funky room which was clean and FUN! Really liked the vibe of this hotel. They also have an amazing pool/jacuzi.
Style of hotel. Comfortable buy stylish atmosphere. Unique and lively... Not just a box with a bed in it.
Loud, like a frat house. The rooms center around the pool atrium. Had to ask for help with luggage. The room came with 1 bath towel, 1 coffee cup for the 2 of us. Asked for a map to the airport, then the desk clerk asked if we were familure with the area, then tried to print a map, printer did not work. Will not stay there a gain. Would not recommend.
really nice boutique experience, with a very good restaurant in house. We stopped for one night before heading out to Sedona - it was perfect.
Lots of potential, great pool area, friendly staff
The least clean hotel I've stayed at, no hot water from the sink and Luke warm shower. Also had to find an alternative to the restaurant for breakfast, appeared not enough servers.
