I like the fact that I could move with the bus. Go downtown. And that I could take excursions.
The breakfast could be better addsome fruit.
Better than I expected
Is located exactly in the heart of south beach, close to everything!!!
I loved almost everything- Superb internet connection and FREE!! Easy access to everywhere. Food, shops, airport, beach, etc. Room was very clean more than expected. iron in the room was very useful. Kettle and microwave really handy. AND THE PRICE IS VERY AFFORDABLE. Staff were very kind. They allowed us to keep our luggage after our cruise . That enabled us to go shopping before flying back. Very helpful to us. WILL GO BACK THERE AGAIN. WILL RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE WHO IS NOT A MILLIONAIRE!!
No breakfast opportunities but there are eateries all around though.
Location is very close to the beach. The staff is so sweet.
There are many restaurants that play music nearby, so it is noisy at midnight.
The staff on the front desk were great, very helpful. The location was excellent!
The breakfast was the worst I have ever had. Was told there was only one option but then saw other people being offered multiple options. There were cockroaches all in our coffee cups. We went our from 9am-3pm and then 4pm-6pm and our room didn't get cleaned.
The location of the clay hotel was perfect.
Miami being a very hot and sultry city I was looking forward to cooling down in my air conditioned room, only to find it wasn't really up to the job. Also would have been nice to have a room with a view.
location, staff, buffet breakfast.
In the heart of South Beach with plentiful restaurants and near the water. It is like staying in an antique from the 1940s with 10 inch stucco walls, ceiling fans. Real antiques and pictures from the 1940s in the foyer. Our room had 2 queen beds with a bathroom dividing the suite into 2 small rooms for each bed with a bathroom in between. The bathroom was ceramic tile and had a little window for ventilation. The don't build them like that anymore. You must see it to believe it, and it is perfectly preserved.
Their little continental breakfast was pretty weak. All they would have to do is replace the caterer and it would be a perfect place to stay.
There were roaches and sections where the floor was wet. Other than that pretty decent
Free Breakfast was like the food given to refugees. And it is far away from the hotel. It should be near the lobby. And they should include eggs and other stuff.
Great Location Great Room Superb facilities
The price was right and the staff was great,
Overcharged my credit card but it was straightened out right away.
Espanola Way is an attraction of its self. Great location to everything making it very easy to get around South Beach. Rate was very good.
After checking out we learned that we could of made a reservation for a shuttle to bring us to Fort Lauderdale but we had to make the reservation on the prior night so therefore it was too late. I think the people at the front desk should ask how their guests are traveling and tell them about this shuttle because we could of saved $40 compared to an $80 cab ride. Also the complimentary breakfast was a waste. By the time we got there around 9:15 mostly everything was gone and the staff at that particular restaurant didn't seem to care to much about service.
Everynthing was really good. Loved my time there
Location was great. straight walk to beach access, they offer continental breakfast if you can wake up early to eat it. Lots of great spanish/ cuban influences restaurants with in walking distance. I was not disturbed by any noise that other people complain of, but I also did not come in until 5am or after. FYI the hotel office, and your actual room are not in the same place. You walk down a street to get to the rooms. If you prefer a more quiet atmosphere then you should choose a hotel farther down like 16th and up.
I did not like that we had two sides to the room with 1 window air conditioner.
very convenient and beautiful location, silent room
a chair in the room would be handy, bathroom somewhat small
Great location. Friendly staff.
Little smell in the hallway but not too serious for me.
Like they say you def get what you pay for. The location is excellent right in the midst of everything shops, restaurants, beach and etc.
The hotel could use some new flooring in the hallway and room.
I had a deluxe king suite. i absolutely LOVED my room. This is my 2nd time in 6 weeks staying there and i was quite pleased with the first room i stayed in, so i requested that room again, to my suprise, the room they actually provided this time was even more awesome! i stayed there from 7/3 - 7/5 and i loved the room, it was spacious, comfy, clean, the bed felt like i was floating on a cloud, the view outside my window was amazing, i could see all of Espanola way. room 564, the building is newly renovated and there is still some renovations going on but that didn't bother me at all. i will stay here again for sure. also, last time i stayed there i was a little worried about the security door being always open at night outside my room, but this time, the security door remained shut and required a hotel key for entry so i felt super safe and relieved.
the only minor complaint that i have is that my shower didn't really have hot water, the temperature of the water was cool, like beach water it felt like, but it didn't bother me too much, because i loved my room, so i didn't want to make a complaint and risk getting moved into a different room. the staff is great, they hold your luggage for you if your shuttle to the airport arrives after checkout time. there are so many cool restaurants tucked away in that little corner, this hotel is awesome, i really don't understand any negotive reviews, because for the costs of the room, you really get alot of bang for your buck.
Very clean and the room we had was off the main street which was a plus. Room for 4 people was actually more like two bedrooms which was nice.
Not that we needed it because we were just staying over night however the furniture or lack of was disappointing, no chairs or small table.
I have talked about the hotel since being a guest. I loved the charm yet comfort that the Clay offered me and my mother. We loved the surrounding area so much. It was like being in Europe.
You get what you pay for.. It's on south beach.. At the price you can't beat it.. It was clean enjoy the staff was good enough for that location.. If it wasn't for the roaches I'd probably give it a better rating. I seen more then one roach
