I liked everything about the Craftsman Inn! It was exactly as portrayed online. My room was cozy, well appointed and spotless. Until staying at the Craftsman Inn, I thought my bathtub was unbeatable...I'm rethinking that! The ginger cookies and bedside Sherry were welcomed the afternoon I pulled in. I am enjoying my Inn Food Cookbook, Simply lovely.....
Very clean, the staff is very friendly. Breakfast freshly made in the morning, free parking. Complimentary wine.
AC was too loud, had to turn it off at night. The bathroom fan was also too loud.
The breakfast The bedrooms The family who ran it The location
Bed was comfortable. We were in the Diamond Room which was very spacious.
No door to the bathroom. Not enough counter space in the bathroom.
Nothing specific, the place is cute
Breakfast was very limited Location is too close to main road Didn't have our towels & soups changed after our first night We really expected more for the extremely high cost.
Calistoga is a nice little town and walkable distance from the B&B. Price was fair 179$ + tax.
The room are very noisy there is a major road at the front with a traffic light.
Although the location was on the busy main thoroughfare of Calistoga & was very noisy, we heard nothing in the room, which over looked road. The bed was comfy, but they need to upgrade the pillows. The bathroom was small but nicely done. The breakfast was delicious. Other than the pillows & the noisy location, the only other negative was that there was no pool or hotub, after a day spent in the 90 degree heat, it would have been lovely to take a swim, oh well.
The room quality was amazing. The bathroom was top notch, the bed was comfortable and the staff was amazingly nice. The breakfast was delicious as well
It was very dark at night. Maybe motion sensors and some additional outdoor lighting would make it a little safer to go up the stairs to the second floor? Also a bathroom door would have been nice for privacy.
Family run business, and they are wonderful hosts. I would give 7 stars to the breakfast! It is close to everything. You can walk to downtown for lunch and dinner. Close to lots of wineries. Small town so not so much traffic.
Excellent breakfast Nice hosts Nice and elegant house Great location
1. Bed were just OK. 2. Not a lot of privacy: one can hear the other guests in the rooms next door and up above you. And I'm sure they heard us as well.
Gracious hosts and a quaint little inn with lots of charm and character!
Friendly, clean, spacious.
It was very clean. Decor was a great combination of the historical, and modern, well-appointed. We had everything we needed and even got the bathroom with the jacuzzi. What a bonus! Breakfast was generous and the cowboy beans were to-die-for. Not in the practice of having beans for breakfast, but they were delicious.
Location was at the busiest intersection in Calistoga. But really, the traffic was only a factor if you sat on their comfortable porch.

The two breakfasts were excellent and the company enjoyable. We even got Gillian's Breakfast cookbook and got tips from her on ingredients and how to make some of the items. We stayed in a different room each of our two nights because we only reserved a few days before out trip. The first room was downstairs in the back: it was smaller, cozy, and very quiet and private. The second night was a very nice larger room. (Street noise mentioned in some reviews was very moderate so we didn't notice it during the day and it was non-existent at night.) Warning for some of you who like bathroom doors: the larger room was so large that it had no bathroom door.
We have only ourselves to blame, but we ate so much breakfast that it was impossible to eat lunch.
We really enjoyed our stay! The staff was excellent (especially Lois) and the accommodations were great! Not to mention a wonderful breakfast spread every morning! Thanks for a great time!
Owner's are nice... room was very clean... Enjoyed the jacuzzi in the room after a long day. Location was perfect being it was a short block from downtown. I would recommend Craftman Inn to friends and family.
Wonderful breakfast, great people (other guests and staff). Extras: water bottles, books, cable, tour ideas
Walls were thin to other rooms. Other guests came in late and made loud noise one night.
Our short stay was wonderfull! The room is very comfortable and the jacuzzi is huge! The breakfast was the highest point! We loved it!
Everithing is clean. The shower is perfect. The bed is very confortable. And the owner is friendly. I recomend it!
Could there be more variety at breakfast.
Quiet room with high quality ,comfortable amenities Chef was fabulous - truly excellent breakfasts!
Bathroom very small
Charming house with great breakfasts.
They offered red and white wine at night but the quality was really poor. Offer decent wine or none at all.
Lovely 1910 Arts and Crafts home, nicely decorated. Delicious breakfast, and lovely housekeeper/chef.
The regular Innkeepers were away, and a "rent-an-innkeeper" was running the Inn - she was very friendly, but unable to answer any questions about the area, places to hike, where to eat, etc. Also, when I booked through Booking.com it appeared that all rooms had jacuzzi tubs, so I didn't expressly ask for one - and then found that our room had only a shower in a narrow bathroom that was difficult to maneuver in. Without the innkeepers there, I was unable to address this. Even in the video on their website, it is implied that all rooms have jacuzzis - this was a disappointment.
