This hotel was in close driving distance to Stanford University.
The hotel desk staff were not very welcoming nor did they look happy to be working there. Our bathroom was dirty upon arrival and other rooms had dirty dishes outside their rooms for hours. Not worth the money at all for this motel.
Bar in complex closes at 9:30
free wifi, good location
pictures misrepresented what we thought we booked. we were put in a tower and our view was of the street and parking lot. not near the creek at all. The pictures make this appear to be a tranquil setting beside a creek and we did not get that at all.
Was super quiet, felt like we were only ones there. Plus room overlooked the creek, did not feel like we were right off ElCamino.
Nice room and gatdens
Problem with hot water. Breakfast ended to early for a weekend.
Rooms are clean and comfortable with good bathroom facilities. Nice pastries and coffee in the morning and staff are very friendly. Great location for visiting Stanford and some nice cafes/restaurants close by. Would stay there again...
I had no bad experience there.
EASY TO FIND, CLOSE TO HOSPITAL
Nice peaceful property, was in one of the cheaper rooms but it was still large and comfortable.
A little bit isolated from the main streets of Palo Alto, not a problem if you have a car though
Excellent location, woodsy property, a creek runs through it. The room was quite spacious. Onsite restaurant and next door market/deli were a bonus.
As with just about everything else in Palo Alto, you pay more.
Travelling on business, it's nice to have a spacious room to throw all your things around and start working some more, without feeling like you took up too much comfort space. The PM and AM staff were both so helpful and funny. Great amenities-even lip balm!!!
Room was clean. Location perfect. Price was more than fair!
Everything about it - loved the picnic and replacing areas
clean and comfortable. staff was friendly.
The room rate was too expensive still a bit far from the university and there was confusion about the block of rooms closing the day before we were told about them. needed to take a shuttle and the shuttle times were unreliable.
- The front desk boy is really helpful, showing us how to open the bottled beer without opener! - Quirky creek in the backyard but we have no time to enjoy the view
- a small surchage on the room after check-out, and dont know why, but it is small like $2.
Love the location - close proximity to a variety of restaurants.
The bed was too lumpy.
Location is good. Price is Ok for SF area. We lived in new big facility. It's nice and clean
location next to Stanford good
The walls are paper thin, allowing for the slightest of noise to affect your sleep. Booking.com does not negotiate the best prices. If you want this hotel, and you shouldn't, then go to the website where the prices are 25% below booking.com. We only found that out after we got there. The beds are fair. The rooms are motel room like (or worse) and the prices are 5 star. The staff doesn't care about the guests. The hotel needs to be torn down and rebuilt if they want to charge those prices. AVOID THIS HOTEL
They charged my credit card for complimentary waters after we checked out.
I would characterize this motel as "mid century" because it IS from the 50s and has not been updated. The rooms open to the exterior (motel-like) and to access the second floor, there are no elevators. You have to drive to your building and if you arrive at night, it is very dark. Hard to find your room. Hopefully it is safe because I was traveling alone and it took me several times to finally get the right building and room. For the money, I would have stayed at the Windham down the street.
Love the hallway-no carpet and nice and clean; love the amenities in bathroom. Love your furniture and decor. No pictures on the wall. Sometimes they can be tacky.
The air freshener in the elevator. Too strong. Practically knocks you out when elevator door opens!
Liked the layout of the room, the natural setting, friendly and helpful staff.
Really didn't like that management is not remediating the obvious mildew issue in room 210, and is still booking it. That one issue really impacted our stay for me.
The bed was ultra comfy! No noise on the 3rd floor.
There was nothing I didn't like.
You ve gotta include the breakfasts do the guests in the price, because the cost of the hotel is pretty high anyway
A unique property, not run of the mill hotel.
Check-in was tedious at the end of a very long and difficult travel day. Building was not easy to locate...no markings I could see on a rainy night in the dark. Overall very clean but there were what looked like Granola Bar pieces on the floor at the foot of the bed. Shower doors installed backwards. Suite had a printer but it didn't work properly. Went to the office for a light breakfast but the coffee was empty and the muffins were pretty sad. Considering the price I was expecting a lot more.
