Power went off for an extended period made things difficult.
The electricity went out for several hours. The staff was not helpful and did not know what was going on.
The Alamo was outside my window. A mall entrance outside the front door. We walked everywhere.
Paying $20 for parking, but that just goes along with a downtown location. Our valet was quick and very helpful.
Location neer of everything
Nothing all was Exelent
They were refinishing the bath tubs in nearby rooms and the smell of the adhesive was overpowering. Much more ventilation required than just opening the fire doors at the end of the corridor. I approached the manager during the day and complained and was told that the smell would be gone by the evening. Well it was less pungent but still there. I know that maintenance work has to be done but I think they could have done it one floor at a time and not have had paying guests close by when the work was being done.
Close to everything!!! Alamo, mall and river walk very close and within walking distance. Free breakfast, parking reasonable resulted in not having to drive or find expensive parking lots. Friendly staff, the price was reasonable mid range between high and low budget accommodations.
The location is great - walk out the door, cross the road and you're inside the grounds of the Alamo. There was a good variety of food available for breakfast and the rooms were clean.
Had to switch rooms because the ice machine nearby was incredibly loud, the staff could have been friendlier and although the lobby of the hotel is nice I would have expected a nicer room for the price. Parking seemed unnecessarily expensive as well.
The lobby was beautiful, the bed was really comfortable, housekeeping was very friendly and breakfast was good. The hotel is within walking distance of most of the attractions.
Our room was located across the hall from an ice machine which was loud when it was making ice, even in the middle of the night. The air conditioning system was also so noisy it interrupted my sleep the first night. The other nights we turned the thermostat up so the air conditioner wouldn't turn on & it was fine.
Love the location, walking distance from every point of interest
wifi could be better, it wasn't working properly at my room
Location was great, love the old hotels, staff friendly, comfortable room, Keurig in the room, close to the Alamo
Location was ideal for both Alamo and River Walk. Could not have been easier.
Slim pickings for breakfast if you were not down early. We were on 2nd floor and could hear night receptionist speaking all night on phone.
The continental breakfast was great for Europeans, the cleanliness of the room. The free WiFi. Walking distance to the Alamo and Riverwalk. Big mall and IMAX cinema across the street.
Good breakfast; comfortable room
No refrigerator or microwave or coffee machine in room. Man blowing leaves at the Alamo woke us up at 6:30 am each morning.
breakfast (very limited, coffee was cold everyday), very noisy heater (we could not sleep at night)
Customer service was excellent, employees from the front desk to the folks who cleaned the rooms were very friendly. The hotel smelled nice, did not smell old at all. Rooms were very clean.
I can't think of anything!
Friendly, helpful staff Beautiful old building Awesome location
Valet is expensive
The location was perfect.
The power went out in the middle of the night and still wasnt back on at check out it was in the 30's to 40's outside.because of the outage there was no breakfast. There wasnt even an apology for any of this..
My husband and I spent a night at the Crockett Hotel for a mini birthday getaway. The location was perfect. We also really liked the complimentary breakfast - the Texas shaped waffles were delicious!
Neither my husband nor myself slept at all. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. The room was very small, but that was ok as the two of us were only staying the one night. The shower was also a problem. The shower head could not be adjusted and because it was pointed directly at the back wall, the water escaped the shower curtain and nearly flooded the bathroom. There was also a small amount of mold in one of the top corners of the shower.
Great complimentary breakfast. Convenient to the Riverwalk and the Rivercenter Mall. Comfortable hotel with a sense of history.
Location is in front of Alamo. All landmarks are accessible by foot
No coffee maker ,no fridge.Parking is 20$
Liked the fact that there was a Keurig coffee maker in the room.
Beautiful facility Great location Pet-walking area (even though it was very small and had very little grass)
Touted valet or self-parking; no self parking (said too busy) Lost power 1st morning there (we were on 5th floor); we stayed, lots of others left, as our room over-looked the parking lot - when we checked out, were told no compensation for a 3+ hour outage...that's a LOT of stairs! During power outage, could not get any answers from front desk - very frustrating.
great location and service. Electrical power was lost to the facility Friday morning, but the staff handled it well.
Heating unit was abnormally noisy and cycled on and of throughout the night interrupting a restful sleep. Power was lost in the morning but the staff handled it well.
Breakfast was very good with hot and cold options. Room and view of the Alamo grounds were great.
