We were quite disappointed. It would have been average at half the price. For $235 a night, it was a disgrace. Cramped room with just 14 inches between the bed and wall. No concierge, no valet, few if any of the things usuall associated with a hotel charging that price. Tv did not work first night, furniture was chipped and marred, refrigerator. Nickle and dimed us. Charging $18 a night for parking was excessive. Charging $30 a day to rent bikes when the going rate just four blocks away was $12 was ridiculous. Incessant road noise, and the noise from the restaurant, made sleeping past 7 A.M. difficult. Your website offered a modern luxury hotel. It was anything but. The rooms were at least 50 years old and smelled like it. We thought we had booked a room with a view of the marina. We got one with a "view" of of the parking lot and Sea World Drive. We booked a room with a single king bed, we got one with two double beds crammed into a room. It took 24 hours to set up the channels on the tv, and we never received directory we were promised by the clerk at 9 P.M. the first night of our stay. Given that was our 30th wedding anniversary, it was a disaster.

The Dana is a great place to stay for couples and families alike. The FireFly Restaurant has great food, the prices get higher in the evening so would recommend lunch if on a budget. The pool/area is next to the FireFly which makes it nice to take a dip and then enjoy a great lunch. Would also recommend paying the extra price for the Deluxe Premium Bay View room, great views. The only thing I can say I didn't enjoy is that their were two weddings going on during our stay, which caused a wait at the restaurants.

It's location - close to many things, the Pacific Ocean, Sea World, San Diego. The cost for the area was comprable to other well known chains, but the location and other travelers ratings made us select it. Paying for parking! Since there is no public transportation available, one can assume that a vehicle of some sort would be with each room. I would suggest rolling the parking fee into the nightly room fee - since you won't have one without the other. I would suggest charging for an extra vehicle per room - that seem more reasonable. You could then offer "free" parking - that might get you more visitors - a couple of the other hotels charge parking fees, but most did not...

Good price considering location and what Dana offers. Wonderful presentation (including lush vegetation) with great views. Rooms at high quality Diappointed in not finding Dana shuttle bus waiting for me upon arrival at airport. Please allow guest ticking a box to ask for pick up during online booking. Do not expect a guest to call the hotel after a long distance flight. I had to wait for an hour before I realized no bus would pick me up, after which it was after 8pm.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was amazing, perfect for parents to relax while kids and teenagers could keep busy. Walking distance from Sea World and lots of water activities available. Rooms not cleaned real well. When we arrived there was something that had splattered on bathroom wall and not wipes up. Lots of dust around and behind TV, microwave and many other areas. Air conditioning filter in bathroom was very dirty and looked like it had not been changed or cleaned in years. Allergies bad during stay there.

Hotel description was very misleading. Courtesy services where non existing. Hotel was not even able to provide a airport shuttle at 7:00 am, apparently that was to early for the hotel staff! Our room was dirty and uncomfortable. Room did not even have appropriate towel racks or toiletry storage. The Dana is very overpriced for the room and (non)services received.

Stayed in the Deluxe Premium Bay View first floor with balcony/gate that opened to grass area surrounding the bay (this is the newer section of the hotel). What a beautiful setting with the palm trees against Mission Bay. Quiet location, yet close to everything. New favorite hotel in the area!
