Set on Shelter Island, along the San Diego Bay, this hotel offers a private marina, stunning views of the bay and enjoyable facilities, including an on-site restaurant.
Score from 894 reviews Excellent
Overlooking San Diego Bay, this waterfront hotel is next to the San Diego Convention Center and PETCO Park, home of the San Diego Padres professional baseball team. It features a full-service spa.
Score from 1281 reviews Very good
This La Jolla hotel features an outdoor saltwater pool and panoramic views of the California coast. It serves a daily deluxe breakfast on an oceanfront rooftop. The San Diego Zoo is 15 miles away.
Score from 1061 reviews Good
We really liked the patio access to the pool.
Good bed and spacious room
Weak shower, small crowded pools, mediocre restaurant, staff with no personality
great location on the Mission Bay 20 mile bike route ! great access to the Pacific Beach and bus to Old Town trolley stop
More benches overlooking the marina would be appreciated Bigger shower head would also be an improvement I surprised that towels & sheets are changed everyday. Eco signs to reduce laundry would be a good business initiative.
Grounds were very nice and was right on the bay which was nice. Staff at hotel/restaurant were friendly.
While our room was quiet, i can imagine the noise would be worse as the busy season starts. Not sure why the parking fee was necessary nor resort fee.
The location and property is very nice. The staff is great and I loved the shuttle to the airport. I left the hotel on the 9:00 AM shuttle and I was at the airport and through security by 9:15. Can't beat that!!
My only complaint was that the thermostat was programmed to automatically shut off during the night, and the room got much warmer than my setting.
Staff. are so polite and helpful.. The food is excellent. I am staying again for one night before we go back to England on the 3/12/2014. We visited last year and most certainly stay next year. It deserves to be more than a 3*
The only critism is I think the baths need updating. It would not put me off staying again.
Our room had a fantastic view and was very clean and comfortable. The resort had everything we needed for our 2 day stay.Within easy walking distance of Seaworld.
Location is great with its own Marina right there. Staff were very helpful at all times Lovely restaurant and pool area
Rooms are old "motel style" ' however, they have been given a make-over and are adequate. (I noticed some new condos which are probably more up-market)
The amazing view Excellent cleaning crew
Expensive Not close to any shops No follow up from front desk staff when they clearly said they will Late check out only extend half an hour
The view was good and you are close to belmont park. Pool was clean but small.
Food was poor for the location. Key cards didn't work when we went to the room. It is mandated that you pay for parking the entire stay.
The location and surrounding environment
The lack of breakfast included in the fare. For this price the hotel should have a buffet breakfast included.
Very helpful staff and beautiful grounds. A/C went out but was remedied when pointed out to staff.
Walls were not sound proof at all. Thankfully the fan drowned out most of the noise but if you had rowdy neighbors, it would be a problem.
We loved the view of the harbor and the pools were great. The hotel grounds were beautiful.
Our room was EXTREMELY small and the carpets were so filthy that we had to wear our shoes. For the amount I paid I was expecting a much better room. I could have stayed in the same room at a hotel 6.
very close to Seaworld, special atmosphere,
far from the city center
Good location, relatively close to the beach, right next to a marina 2 pools on the premises are great
They make you buy a $14 per day pass that supposedly gives you some discounts on meals/ drinks in their restaurants which I found useless Almost no privacy in any rooms if the blinds are open
Air condition didn't work properly . Dirty carpets . Motel 6 is more clean .
a lot of green.
$40 for 2 nights parking,it is too much.
The view was amazing and the location of the resort was excellent but we did end up renting a vehicle to ensure maximum access to major attractions in San Diego.
The rooms were not what we were expecting for the cost that we paid. The pictures didn't come close to what we actually got.
The view, the property was beautiful, and the staff was very nice.
The bed was rather uncomfortable!
I was here on business and working very long hours. Having a lovely room with a great view was very relaxing, but the bed was the very best part! Everyone was helpful and cheerful. Hope I can come back another time when I can relax and completely enjoy the facilities.
We liked the kid friendly pool, the easy access to the marina, the cleaning staff was great as well. You would'be neber thought we had two little ones making a mess every night. My family also loved how close it was to Seaworld.
I didn't like the deceiving picture, I was lead to believe my room came with a personal walkway with a sitting area. The room I thought I was going to get was the room they offered me a couple of days before our trip for an upgrade fee of another $150 dollars. I also didn't mind the $20 a night for parking but really. A convenience store would be nice as well, not just a gift shop the size of a closet.
Clean and close to Mission beach.
Didn't like the hidden costs upon arrival after booking online. $15 resort fee a day for wifi, cheap coffee, gym use. That comes standard in most hotels. $20 parking fee, really? I'd understand if it was downtown San Diego where parking is limited.
location and space of the rooms
the microwave didn't work properly, the pools open a little late in the morning.
room too small
Location and very clean and comfortable
Thought it a little pricey
