-Location in Ybor is amazing! Walking distance to various restaurants and pubs.
The hotel was good, staff friendly.
The area has seen better days, and not enough to do locally for more than a day.A good one night stop over location but no more !
It's truely special and a nice break from regular/chain hotels. Free breakfast, wifi and parking.
You can hear loud train horns in the middle of the night. Guess you'll hear these though in other places in the same area as well but can wake you up if you are not used to them.
We came to Tampa to see a show. We found this hotel and absolutely loved it. It's a nice hotel, really friendly staff, comfortable beds, and even breakfast! I highly recommend this place because we are going back!
Noise from late night party's
Staff very nice, friendly and helpful. A beautiful stay in a beautiful place
As a frequent business traveler the Don Vicente Inn offered a great break in the routine. Located in the heart of the vibrant and culturally rich community of Ybor City, I highly recommend the Don Vicente Inn. Family owned and operated with friendly and professional the rich history of the historic building will always be remembered. Congratulations to the Shiver Family for running this facility into an elegant and charming inn.
If you want to see the Ybor District its perfect.
Was in historic part of town Unique building Convenient to downtown Ybor Staff was friendly and helpful Parking at hotel for walking around town was super convenient. Great water pressure in shower
Breakfast was a small continental which was okay, but.. The desk in our room was sort of beat up. Room was low on amenities, but had exactly what was advertised which was a full length mirror and TV
very nice room huge bathroom well decorated free parking great location
Lack of Parking
Spacious rooms; friendly staff (had the pleasure of meeting the owner who was really nice); comfortable bed; love the historic ambiance.
Understand the historic decor but some amenities need to be updated a bit (i.e., alarm clock, TV which was not easily viewable from the bed or liviing area); hotel is severely underutilized...lots of great space to have small functions or something for guest to do or engage with each other when they don't want to go out to Ybor and want to relax at the hotel; upholstry on chairs needs to be redone or with more cushion as they are a bit worn
Staff was exceptional.
The beds were awful
This Inn is a great escape from the monotony of the chain hotels. It's old and funky (in a good way), but very clean and the staff is AWESOME! It has everything you need and is centrally located. We'll definitely be back! Thanks for the beer, Damon!!! ; )
Did not sleep at all!!!! There was loud music until 4am!!!!!!! I would never stay at this hotel again I have never stayed somewhere where you can here so much noise. Also hotel does not offer much other then a bed you look like you are the only ones staying at the hotel its rather creepy. I was very nervous the whole night.
The staff made me feel welcomed. The room was ideal. Historic and adorable place all around. Bed was VERY COMFY! Great night sleep!
The continental breakfast left a little bit to be desired.
Really cool historic inn. Room was big and felt unique. Bathroom was more like a what you'd find in a house and not a hotel. Close to everything downtown Ybor.
Staff was very nice and helpful. Hotel was nice and clean. Very historic and very beautiful.
ry historic and very beautiful. A couple drawbacks were...the bed was very hard, very uncomfortable, paper thin walls. We had very loud and rude neighbors that were loud until 2am. Could hear many sounds off the street too. Outside looks very run down. Furniture and rug in room a little beat up. Breakfast was ok. We got a deal on booking.com for $99 which was more than I felt the hotel was worth. I would not have paid the standard $140 rate. Other better hotels for that rate in the area.
The staff is Extremely Friendly and Accommodating. The Location is Second to NONE ! The Ambiance is AWESOME !
Hotel had historic charm & is convenient to Ybor City shops, restaurants & places of interest.
Although we realize the hotel hosts private receptions, parties, etc., we felt the staff made these their highest priority to the point of neglecting us completely as guests who were actually staying at their hotel. We were hoping to have a drink at the hotel the evening we arrived, as the hotel's website actually shows pictures of not one, but two bars. Unfortunately, the basement bar evidently only gets used for large parties & there was no one tending the main floor bar, as the whole staff was busy with the receptions being held there & could not be bothered to wait on their guests who were paying to stay in their hotel. We were told there would be a cone put in our parking space so our space would be available when we returned that evening, however, upon our return, we found the cone had been moved to allow a friend of a hotel staff member to park in our spot. We had requested a particular room number which had an outdoor balcony way in advance of our stay. Although I realize it is not always possible to get a particular room, there were barely any people staying at the hotel the weekend we stayed, yet they assigned us a very small room with no balcony. There were not even 2 chairs for my husband & I to sit on in our room. We truly felt the staff could have given us a room at least similar to what we had requested, especially since the hotel did not have many people staying there at that time. We had no alarm clock or clock of any kind in our room. Although the hotel itself had charm, many of it's furnishings are worn to the point they should be replaced & definitely need to be cleaned. The staff needs to act &/or dress more professionally & definitely needs to have lessons in how to be more accommodating to it's guests. Hotels website should not show things that will not be available to it's guests when they stay.To me, all of these issues fall on lack of good hotel management.
I liked the quaintness of the hotel. The decor was beautiful. Everything was within walking distance. The convienence to the conve.ntion center wasnt horribly bad. The walk to the trolley was a short distance
The area looked suspect at first but after more observation it was safe.
nice hotel, good place - Ybor City looks good (a lot of restaurants), but I was alone there(?)
I was alone in the hotel and even Ybor-City was empty.
restoration of hotel close to transportation friendly staff Breakfast just OK
A/c needed repair - notified front desk after arrival - never touched - filter sucked into a/c Very loud party evening we arrived
Facilities, staff, and nearby entertainment and food was superb.
The hotel was beautifully decorated. The rooms were comfortably and the A/C worked great. Many restaurants in easy walking distance.
The shower had poor water pressure. The beds were a bit too stiff. There was no restaurant or bar as part of the hotel.
