Staff was excellent -- called the bell man he was there within a minute. Hotel room was larger than the average sf hotel room -- complete with mini fridge and microwave, dvd player, etc. Room was quiet - couldn't have asked for more.

Great option in San Francisco. The rooms are spacious and clean, staff is really really helpfull ! The hotel provides free wi-fi connection, but it doesn't work pretty well inside the room. In my room, it only worked near the door. Wifi works great in the looby.

The rooms are large and well appointed. The staff and the concierge were very helpful and the lounge area was a definite asset especially for and the coffee and the Friday happy hour. The hot water in the shower was inadequate but the desk clerk said that he would bring it to the attention of the manager and the engineer.

Before we got there, the location was what we were happeiest about - it is excellently located for Union Square & shopping etc. Rooms were great with plenty of additional facilities (fridge, microwave), the bed was really comfortable and the staff were very helpful. We have found a new home in San Francisco & will definitely return.

The most enjoyable part was the friendliness and attitude of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The building, whilst getting on in age, is warm and inviting and has everything you need. Nothing. We will stay here again when we come back to San Francisco

The position is excellent, just one block from Union Square and close to all public transportation. Staff was very kind and friendly. The availability of a mini-kitchen with sink, cutlery, refrigerator and microwave in the room was a definite plus. No breakfast available unless as room service, and that wasn't recommended even by the hotel staff (not too bad since the area teems with nice restaurants serving breakfast more or less anytime). WiFi was included in the room charge but it didn't always work - sometimes with bizarre quirks like not being able to leave it connected overnight (I was actually given this answer by the WiFi support staff), and the WiFi support is through a non-free telephone number. The room we were given was noisy due to window seams not really doing their job properly. We were accommodated in a wheelchair-friendly room (although none of us needs it) so lots of space in the bathroom but no place to sit for non- handicapped people (we just carried a stool in from the bedroom), and very little in terms of hangers for towels, pajamas, and the like.

Location good Was a little run down, the exercise facilities were very sparse (1 treadmill, one stairclimber, 1 bike and no eliptical also the equipment was very dated) decided to pay to use a club near by. Rooms were clean but cleraly not in the luxury category more like a Holiday inn.

Location is great. The bed was very comfortable and big room We had very rude front desk once who offered us to change hotel if we do not like the way he talk to us. The problem was that my credit card didn't go through for some reason even though we paid full amount in cash on check in. So I told him we could leave deposit also in cash and he was giving me attitude. Anyway, he really spoiled 2 days of our trip. All other front desk people were more than nice so I guess there is always someone who is different.

Large well appointed rooms. Rooms on the street a bit noisy. Staff very good. Location good. Lights very low wattage. Hard to read and put on makeup. Bathrooml lighting especially bad. Surely there are ecologically responsible bulbs that actually shed light.

Location and room was a nice size although the bathroom was very small and basic. The exercise room was small with only 3 aerobic machines that were loud and didn't work very well. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable. The room was noisy. You could hear outside noises and people in the hallway. One night there were some very drunk loud girls in the hall pounding on one of the doors.

Excellent location. Moderately priced. Very nice large room that we were able to fit 4 comfortably. Restaurant pricey so did not eat there. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would have liked a moderately priced breakfast menu or buffet.

“Staff at reception were helpful and accomodating. Rory, at the bar, provided plenty of useful information about bars and music in the area as well as keeping drinks replenished! Room was cleaned every day and bed was extremely comfortable. Reading information provided about the city yielded plenty of tips about where to eat etc. Many thanks for a very pleasant New Year! ” Michele, Weston-super-mare |
