the staff was the "BomB"

Convenient location near Union Square. Excellent services and facility, courteous and helpful staff, spacious and luxurious rooms, easily accomodated a family of four.

The search on Booking.com listed the Donatello as having complimentary airport shuttle service which turned out to be otherwise. That was one of my considerations in booking this place but was quite annoyed and disappointed at this wrong information, which I found out only a day before arrival and had to make alternate reservations at the last minute to get to the hotel.

Location, rooms spacious clean renovated,friendly staff

the hotel is well located to visit SF. The staff is really friendly and reliable. It's very clean and comfortable. I really recommend it.

I valued the kitchnette and de location. It´s beeing renovated. We stayed at a renovated room, with a street view from the 8th floor; may be others are not so nice.

Our lovely room with a street view was a bit noisy, though in the 8th floor. May be non renovated rooms aren't so nice, the same about those facing the back of buildings.

Remodeled room friendly staff

The position is excellent, just one block from Union Square and close to all public transportation. Staff was very kind and friendly. The availability of a mini-kitchen with sink, cutlery, refrigerator and microwave in the room was a definite plus.

No breakfast available unless as room service, and that wasn't recommended even by the hotel staff (not too bad since the area teems with nice restaurants serving breakfast more or less anytime). WiFi was included in the room charge but it didn't always work - sometimes with bizarre quirks like not being able to leave it connected overnight (I was actually given this answer by the WiFi support staff), and the WiFi support is through a non-free telephone number. The room we were given was noisy due to window seams not really doing their job properly. We were accommodated in a wheelchair-friendly room (although none of us needs it) so lots of space in the bathroom but no place to sit for non- handicapped people (we just carried a stool in from the bedroom), and very little in terms of hangers for towels, pajamas, and the like.

Location is great. The bed was very comfortable and big room

We had very rude front desk once who offered us to change hotel if we do not like the way he talk to us. The problem was that my credit card didn't go through for some reason even though we paid full amount in cash on check in. So I told him we could leave deposit also in cash and he was giving me attitude. Anyway, he really spoiled 2 days of our trip. All other front desk people were more than nice so I guess there is always someone who is different.

The Donatello great hotel close to shops and transport very comfortable clean hotel, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

The proximity to Union Sqaure was perfect. It was one block away which is what I was looking for. The room was very clean and comfortable. Plenty of water pressure for washing my hair and not taking forever!

The weekend I stayed was for Nike Womens Marathon, so probably a bunch of women beat me to the shower and I had a cool shower one night. But my other 3 showers were perfect. Just the right presure and a ton of very hot water.
