Location (Union Square, pretty close to everything you want to see), helpfull staff, big clean and confortable room.
no breakfast facility, but no Hotel in San Francisco offers it. Besides there are many nice coffees around (e.G: STARBUCKS).
Concierge in the club were very helpful location was convenient
Lounge and terassace on top floor. Also location is good. Payment for parking contributes to a negative impression.
Payment for parking contributes to a negative impression. Also, hotel is overpriced compared to standard. Need some upgrading
Location, Staff, Happy Hour (on selected drinks) at the Bar
Breakfast only "in Room".
Good location, the rooms are very nice and comfort , staff were freindly and warm . Clean .
The location was only a couple blocks walk to Powell St to catch the Cable Car. Westfield shopping mall at the bottom of Powell with a great food hall and neat ready to eat supermarket. Walgreens in two directions only 1 block over, lots of other shops and restaurants from the moment you step out the hotel doors. Our Bellman Mark was superfriendly and gave us tips for wandering the area and how to get around. The room was very clean and had a TV built into the bathroom mirror - that was a first for us! Had a sink and microwave and fridge for storing your own food etc. Big comfy bed and a couch, footstool and dining table. All in all a great room
The fact that we got a sales pitch on arrival to attend a time-share presentation breakfast. When stating that we were not interest the conciege got a little weird. As long as you are aware that this will happen then be prepared to say no.
This is a good location about a block away from Union Sq The room we had was large enough for the 4 of us for three nights and the sofa bed was a good size too for older children (16 & 14)
The wi-fi was a bit flakey at times
Really liked the wet bar area, sitting area that allowed us to visit before and after dinner, and the live music in the lounge at night. We were accommodated with adjacent rooms, the parking was very handy and the location was great for walking around Union Square and environs.
I can't think of anything!
The arrogance of the club staff
THE ROOM WAS AMAZING! It's so close to everything! The staff is so great! I loved this whole stay!
The parking costs so much. Though, I guess it's worth it. :)
We travelled with two children aged 8 and 10 and staid in a double room (one king size bed and one large sofa bed.) The room was very large and recently renovated. Very modern and pleasant. It also had a small kitchenette. It was perfect. The italian restaurant is also very good. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. And the hotel is extremely well located just a few steps from Union Square!
The lobby area is much older and in a very different style than the rooms, which is a little odd and a bit of a shame as it doesn't reflect the standard of the rooms.
Great location and welcoming staff. Lester and chris were very helpful in the club upstairs. Very comfy room. A home away from home. A bit expensive.
There is no electrical water kettle to make hot water for tea. Time-share conceirge in the lobby was very insisting for us to attend a lecture about it for 90 minutes.
Very friendly and courteous staff. They really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room was big and comfy, king size bed, pull out couch, small kitchen area. Great value for a place like San Francisco.
Nothing, the hotel was great.
Room was comfortable, and clean .staff v helpful.
Would have liked a pool, it was so hot when we were there.
I liked the high ceiling in the room and the super comfortable bed. Great bathroom accomodations. Before arriving, Pauley did a great job helping us to set up our very tight itinerary with tours.Thank you!
Not much...everyone was very friendly and helpful...we would have preferred a room away from the elevator but all in all this was a minor annoyance.Very accomodating! Will definitely reccomend the Donatello.
Nice hotel. Close to Union Square and easy to get public transportation. Clean our room every day. Walk a few minutes, Walgreens (a big supermarket) is right there for everything.
Mason/Geary street corner, there is a grocery store, where sold a big bottle of water at @4.99. This is crazy. We could buy @1.79 at Walgreens.
The rooms are big
Friendly staff, great location.
Strange to have to make up the sofa bed. Windows fitted poorly so lots of street noise.
Central location with a huge room with good in room amenities.
The lobby has a run down feel and doesnt give a great first impression but that was my impression for most SF hotels that I saw.
The location, space and cleanness of the room. If we could book again we would.
There was nothing to dislike, an improvement would be a laudry
Stayed here with a group of girls for a total of 4 nights. We were totally satisfied with our stay and have designated this hotel as our "go-to" hotel to stay at every time we visit SF. - very large room - amazing staff - convenient location (close to union square/ bus stop) - free wi-fi - cleanliness - wet bar was perfect size - great value for the price
There was nothing we didn't like.
We had a wonderful stay Very comfortable beds , rooms , conveniently located Walking distance to everything Staff at the hotel was extremely friendly The concierge above and beyond helpful Many thanks to Chris and peter , who took Care of any reservations we needed and helped us make plans Will come back again :))
Very very noisy !!!!!
Good size rooms with fridge, microwave etc. Nice bathroom with TV and good toiletries. Position central and lovely staff
Nothing. It was all good. Nice experience
Very convenient to transport options, shopping, restaurants Large room good comfortable bed/ pillows Wifi free
Had an unpleasant surprise some days later when using my travel card to find that an extra $200 had been taken out without my knowledge or included in the final invoice A copy of the credit card statement was not attached to the payment receipt This was apparently a holding payment of $50/day refundable some time later the purpose of which I have had no satisfactory explanation as all charges are reconciled at midnight each day The money has since been replayed however I consider it a scam
