Great breakfast, nice little property
We didn't realize it was right on the main road, and there was some road noise, and the night we were there it was a birthday celebration going on which did not allow us to experience the great write ups their dinner menu had received. Suggest calling in advance to make sure the dining room and chef are available.
Enjoyed the historic inn atmosphere and friendly inn keepers. Country breakfast was awesome.
We stayed in the Heidi Room 2nd floor. Room was adequate but the bed was old and very uncomfortable for two people. Bed sagged in the middle so I kept rolling toward center. Purchase new bed and I would strongly recommend the Doveberry Inn.
We absolutely loved everything about this b&b... the owners were so friendly and the breakfast was made to order. We would definately come back again..
Not a thing!! Everything was wonderful.
Full sit down breakfast, inexpensive off season, friendly helpful people.
Room was small, with sloping ceilings.
The owner was very friendly and the breakfast was excellent.
The Doveberry is really a place for skiers since it is close to a ski resort. Overall the hotel is pretty worn. The rooms do not have air conditioning which makes sleep uncomforable during the warm months.
The Inn itself is quaint and the decor is pretty. There was a nice variety of choices for breakfast. The owner was friendly enough but in an expected way.
The beds were terrible. We did not have a good sleep because of that. There was no air conditioning which compounded the poor sleep experience. I am not sure if 'no air' was mentioned in the ad or not so perhaps we missed that. I would not go back because of the these two reasons.
The owners really care about their guests and the breakfast is to die for
Room was just ok
Room was cozy and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and portions were more than ample! Hostess provided great suggestions for local sightseeing and was very attentive.
That we couldn't stay longer. Toothpaste didn't have much flavor (we're really digging here!) :)
the breakfast was excellent!
The room was very charming. The inn itself was pleasantly decorated. The breakfast food was pretty good, but not exceptional.
One of the two windows had no screen and so circulation was a problem. The bed's mattress and box springs felt old - each time one of us moved, the whole mattress did too. Usually at B&B's the owners are more friendly and outgoing and breakfast is a comradely, cheerful shared experience where people can meet and learn about each other. Each table was isolated which may be due to the fact that this was off-season and there were fewer lodgers.
excellent breakfast, Mike & Christine are great inn keepers, very knowledgeable, helpful and just great people
Christine and Michael were extremely friendly and more than willing to try to accommodate that we weren't going to be able to make it to the breakfast, by leaving stuff out for us. Every other hotel would've said "not our problem". The bed (King in the Victorian room) was more comfortable than any bed I've slept in. With back issues I expected to wake up both days in pain, and woke up with none.
Uncomfortable bed, room was worn / stained. Only 2 pillows for a queen bed.
I found the owners/ innkeepers to be extremely friendly, accommodative and helpful. The Inn is a nice Vermont style B&B - I would recommend to others.
The caretakers were excellent hosts, very comfortable and clean. Would definitely go back.
The room was cute and the breakfast was amazing!
The bed was uncomfortable and there was no remote (to be found anyway) for the TV.
Every thing excellent
The owners are very friendly and helpful. It is very comfortable and quiet, close enough to the ski aea. The breakfast is a must!
Some rooms altough cozy may be a little small. Try and get a luxury one.
The hospitality and the food
5 mins from the slopes. Clean, comfortable and excellent host.
It's right off VT 100 so light sleepers might find it a little noisier than their liking on a busy weekend.
The inn keepers were very responsive and cooked a wonderful hot made to order breakfast each morning. The location was perfect, just down the road from Mount Snow. The Inn itself was clean, warm and country cute.
I was disappointed that the mattress was SO uncomfortable that I could not sleep even after a full day of being on the ski slopes. Also the whirlpool tub was not clean, with a dirt ring around the tub and hairs in the drain.
Great staff. Wonderful Breakfast
- Breakfast was delicious. - Nice that there was a small fire burning at night.
- Mattress was very uncomfortable. - Bathroom water faucets dripped all night long, and we could not get them to stop dripping. - Bathrooms need to be upgraded. Bathroom sink/vanity was aged/worn.
Liked breakfast and our room was comfortable. Loved our dinner which was an additional expense that was well worth it. Also the owners were excellent. We enjoyed their hospitality suggesting great day trips.
Internet in our room had a hard time connecting. Parking at the inn was a nightmare.
