I loved the old world feel of the place. Chic and fancy!
Comfort and city access wonderful.
I was impressed by the time given to make our an I ersatz one to remember champaign sent up to our room and breakfast in executive lounge each day was a lovely treat
Within walking distance of most anything "Chicago". Room was large with closets to spare, sitting area, work space, and a large bath. Very near Hancock Bldg, all of Magnificent Mile, Navy Pier, etc.
I wish the staff was a little more knowledgeable about transit options in the neighborhood.
I like the lobby, great staff, very helpful, I'll go back for the excellent service.
I hate the elevators, very slow, you had to wait a long time for them, and they do overcrowd. Wifi isn't up to standard, weak connection, you had to sign up all the time, and you have to pay for it, not a problem if the connection is faster. I don't recommend the Drake for business trip, but for a piece of Chicago history and proximity to the action, it's perfect.
The lobby was absolutely beautiful and the food was good
My room...for being the Drake, the room was a cheap looking standard room...actually the bathroom had more decor and style then the room itself. I have paid half less and had beautiful rooms elsewhere...I was disappointed.
The staff were very professional, gracious and helpful. We loved the ambience of the hotel, the centrality and convenience and the level of comfort in the room.
Location, Look of hotel, staff. Room size
Our room was not clean
ALways courteous and professional staff. Food services are good and the Cape Cod room is among my favorite seafood restaurants.
A little pricey, but worth the money.
Grand hotel with attentive staff, great location, elegance and style
Parking fees of $65 per day
So happy with my stay I am coming back with my grown children. Just love the place. Thank you.
I loved the bed, it was amazing! The whole hotel had a kind of charm you don't see anymore.
No free wifi
The location right next to the beach and close to all the attractions was great.
Some of the staff were somewhat arrogant, I guess, because of our relatively young age (just under 30). Even though it really was a 'value deal' there were a lot of extra charges: state tax, city tax, bell boy, concierge, breakfast ($35/person including tax and tip)...
Could get BETTER accommodations for the same price anywhere in downtown Chicago. Old facilities, clean but overrated.
Great location and staff.. Very friendly and helpfull to get around and find stuff. Great view of lake and close to action on Michigan ave. hospitality room was nice with great view. Food was ok .. Expected more for the price.
Shower was ok. Water pressure was poor. Water ebbed and flowed. Faster to slower. Did not get new towels the last day. The walls are thin or something. Could hear everything in the two rooms on each side of us. For the money I would probably stay somewhere else next time. 325.00 per night plus taxes and 65.00 per day to park... Need to be nicer .. Better breakfast, ect..
