Parking attendants were friendly
Horrible bed small dirty outdated rooms overpriced overpriced overpriced ridiculous wifi charge ridiculous parking fee next time i'll just stay at the ritz
Comfort, professionalism and beauty of the historic Drake. I go to the Drake for winding down after long work bouts. I came out relaxed and refreshed.
Well located at the head of Michigan Avenue, well within walking distance of all downtown locations including Rush Street and Hancock Tower
The Bar Tariff - seems Al Capone may still be in residence!
The History of the Hotel. Great location. Excellent restaurant.
Live, great entertainment at night. Perfect location. All staff excellent.
Customer service by front desk staff was inexcusably poor.
The drake is the place to stay in chicago, beautiful hotel in a great location close to shops, attractions and great places to eat and drink all within walking distance! The staff were so friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for you. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who is going to chicago.
The location was good.
I know this is an older hotel, but our room was in dire need of an update. Nothing special about it at all. No amenities were included--we had to pay for wi-fi and overnight parking cost us $67!! When asked about this, the front desk said it was because we didn't book directly with the Drake. There was also a banquet there that night, so the lobby was super crowded. I would not stay here again--there are a lot of other hotels in the area that looked a lot nice.
Room was excellent, we had a suite and access to private happy hour and breakfast.
Staff was somewhat impersonal and the food at the club (New Year's Eve) was Not good... including the stale rolls!
Location, surroundings, friendly and accommodating staff
I spent one night in Chicago on a Christmas trip to Kansas City and decided to splurge on a good hotel. I liked almost everything about the Drake - its location on Michigan Ave, decorated for Christmas; walking distance to good restaurants; and upscale facilities.
Having to pay for WiFi.
Location and Ambiance were great!
The room size was perfect for us. Two queen beds however I would have like a couch so we could all sit and visit more. There were only two chairs and yet a lot of room for more furniture. We had the family room with 4 of us so sitting was a probl unless u sat on the bed. That was the only issue
Comfy bed and sofas, and magnificent lobby.
Everything else was terrible. The hotel needs a complete revamp. Rust was present everywhere and no attention to details. Doors are chipped and there was even a closet that seemed to be forgotten by the builders. The furniture has colors have a sensation of stale. The gym is very, very bad. Machines are very old and ineffective for the work-out. You can just tell that the details are just lacking. 4 star hotel only because of location.
Staff, location, Coq D'or bar... :)
No free Wifi (think it should be included, it's a bit annoying having to pay for it).
Beautiful room and lobby.
location and staff.
Very high quality all around and a great price. Complimentary breakfast was wonderful. We've been enjoying the Drake for dining and stays for over 30 years... we love to come back!
pillows not soft enough... variety needed
Professional staff, comfortable room, and the perfect ambience to experience the pre-Christmas holiday in Chicago.
Very good location, helpful staff, great coffee shop in the lobby
The décor was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The stay was perfect.
room size was good, location is good
after giving them our reason for coming to Chicago, no recognition of our arrival or departure. Needs updating, doors need improvement you can hear everyone coming and going.
Staff helpful, facilities comprehensive, Club Room good, food outstading
It seemed expensive but then I am South African and with the weak Rand everywhere is exensive!!
people ambiance location tradition history class food and beverage options
probably, facility is getting a little tired, but still comfortable Nothing too serious
I love the uniqueness of the hotel, it's an old hotel but still shines like a new penny. You feel like you've stepped into an old Hollywood movie
My only complaint is I wish the bathroom had light dimmers. It was SO bright in there!
