ALways courteous and professional staff. Food services are good and the Cape Cod room is among my favorite seafood restaurants.
A little pricey, but worth the money.
So happy with my stay I am coming back with my grown children. Just love the place. Thank you.
I loved the bed, it was amazing! The whole hotel had a kind of charm you don't see anymore.
No free wifi
The location right next to the beach and close to all the attractions was great.
Some of the staff were somewhat arrogant, I guess, because of our relatively young age (just under 30). Even though it really was a 'value deal' there were a lot of extra charges: state tax, city tax, bell boy, concierge, breakfast ($35/person including tax and tip)...
Could get BETTER accommodations for the same price anywhere in downtown Chicago. Old facilities, clean but overrated.
Great location and staff.. Very friendly and helpfull to get around and find stuff. Great view of lake and close to action on Michigan ave. hospitality room was nice with great view. Food was ok .. Expected more for the price.
Shower was ok. Water pressure was poor. Water ebbed and flowed. Faster to slower. Did not get new towels the last day. The walls are thin or something. Could hear everything in the two rooms on each side of us. For the money I would probably stay somewhere else next time. 325.00 per night plus taxes and 65.00 per day to park... Need to be nicer .. Better breakfast, ect..
Staff Service Location Cleanliness Comfort Luxury
Large room, king bed and a sofa bed, lake view!
location and comfort
charge for internet access
The building is old and tired and needs renovating. This was reflected in the rooms as they were in need of painting and updated fixtures and updates bathroom.
No help with luggage from a 5 star hotel?.. Had to pay for wifi.
Great hotel, location and staff.
The bed is wonderful
Great location - no problem w/taxi accommodations!
I will deal with 'Drake' directly next time - as with talking to others, I paid way too much through the 'booking' agency on the internet!! Wish the restaurants at Drake a bit more 'kid' friendly & larger selection!
The gym was great
A pool would be nice
The housekeeping staff woke me and my husband at 8 a.m. on Saturday
I liked the Location to down town and the comfort
Went to the Drak Brothers resterant for breakfast and waited for 5 to 10 min and didn;t get waited on so we left and went somewhere else for breakfast.
Location, Bell Staff, Concierge Staff
Why do hotels of this quality have to nickel and dime their patrons by charging for internet service. There are many nice downtown hotels that are less expensive that do not charge an additional fee for internet.
I love the location and the hotel itself.
Everything from the floor to six feet off the ground was clean but as soon as you looked up, the hotel was filthy. In our bathroom the balance over the window had a coating of about three millimeters of dust and grim.
The lobby staff and concierge were very helpful in answering questions and offering suggestions.
Although our room was cleaned nicely we did have trouble getting them to restock coffee and the wet bar.
Location and staff
Used to love the fresh flowers under previous owners, a bit less elegant now a hilton
Professional and courteous service from every staff member and service professional we met!
1st floor room #134 gave us great view of the A/C mechanicals - not a vert pretty site! Next time we will ask for the 3rd floor or higher!
We LOVE The Drake. Every restaurant was excellent. Honestly, our whole Chicago getaway was about staying at The Drake and enjoying it's old world splendor.
I love the location, and the amenities. The staff was excellent. Friendly and professional.
