Very cordial staff. Quiet.
Reservation rate was mishandled, ice machines didn't work, remote needed batteries.
We loved the shower set up. The location was close to everything that we wanted to do. Most of the time we walked to our destination.
The bed sheets were over-starched. They made a lot of noise when you were moving around. Also, you could hear way too much noise coming from the street below, we were on the 12th floor.
Location and comfort are wonderful! Love that the historic building was saved since my family goes back over 100 years in Atlanta
I was traveling alone and security was my main concern. I felt very safe and was very comfortable going in and out of my room. The staff was friendly and took the time to answer all of my questions. I was impressed with the welcome I received and it is the reason I will return on my future visits to Atlanta.
The only problem I had was the heating unit was not working. I had been on an all day outside tour and would have liked to have had the room to a warmer temp. I did tell the staff and they were going to have maintenance check it but I was leaving the next day and it was late when I returned to my room.
Close to some great resturants, easy to get to using the MARTA system. Walking distance to many Atlanta attractions!

The bed was very comfortable
The room was dirty, curtains had stains and the entire room smelled aweful. I was dissapoint because of the location o expected 5 star treatment

the fact that the rooms were not comfortable. I got this room as a gift for my Apostle and Pastor and they were NOT satisfied. Which was a huge disappointment to me because I was trying to give them a stay vacation here and it wasn't good! Not happy at all! .
Nice bath products, kind staff, helpful for dining tips too. The location was close to the tourist areas and the best resturants are in walking distance.

I love how every time we go the staff seems to get better and better! I love the safety of the hotel (having to use your key after 10 p.m. to get in, and having to use your key at all hours for elevator accesses. I also am a fan of the price! This hotel, for the location it is at, is a great price, although $28 a day for parking is a rip off, even though parking anywhere in downtown Atlanta is pricey!!
The quality of the hotel seems to be diminishing with every trip I take back to the Ellis. This year our duvet on our bed was ripped down the side, the robes that we look forward to, because they are so comfy, seemed old and warn out. This hotel trip was not what i had imagined it would be. Next trip to Atlanta I'm sad to say, but I will be booking another hotel.
Noise in room from AC systems on roof of building next door
The room was very cosy and the bed was quite large and comfortable. Everything was very clean and ready for use when we arrived.
The valet seemed to be confused on who was getting the cars and who was helping guests. The valet lot was 3 blocks away and took more than 10 minutes the two times we wanted our car. Also, the fee to park there was absolutely outrageous.

Back down to the desk I went. 2nd room, the door wouldn't unlock, 3 times I had key cards made like it was my fault....front desk said I didn't pay for a king room.. I showed them the email stating that I paid for that particular type of room... Was then finally given the room I paid for... Wasn't happy about it but I got what I paid for I just had to make six trips to the front desk to get it.
What I didn't like was there was no pool they hassled my guest about where he could park ... The doorman didn't like to let me outside of the hotel after 3 AM. But there was one front desk person named Woody that was awesome!
The staff was genuinely helpful and friendly! The atmosphere feels personal and welcoming!
Had problems with the air conditioner but the problem was quickly fixed! We did not have maid service our last day there, not sure what happened there! We got in late from sight seeing and we decided to just make adjustments!
