Location, comfort and views from lounge and bar areas, food and drink menu.
Room extremely small so felt cluttered with no space to put things.
My husband liked the location, for me tho it was too far down from everything we came to do. Also liked that we had a small fridge to put our goodies in. Also liked the fireplace.
The staff at check in was not very helpful nor gave us any suggestions how to fix the problem. We has planned on paying cash for our stay since it was our honeymoon n we got a bunch of cash as gifts. However, since we pulled all our cash out they couldn't run the card 4 the whole stay plus any extras n a deposit. After driving 4 hours n having this room booked for months. No upgrade or even a congratulations. I wasn't impressed by the hotel or location. They put us in the old part of the hotel in which one day the elevator wasn't working (were on 4th floor). I'd rather slum it up at the red lion next time n save my cash. Hotel is noisy, heard everything from people fighting on the street, the train every half hour it seemed like and hotel smelled funky. And no full length mirror. As a woman I need to check my outfit b4 I go out, besides waist up in bad lighting in bathroom.
Basically nice; the lobby is quiet at night , and easy and comfortable for a long time chatting. The room is just nice, rather quiet when staying at the bay side, small for a king room, though.
The caucasian bell man with the black glasses did not like my gratuity. He pinched the bills by his both fingers as if to touch something dirty. He may be a professional, but I simply did not like his attitude. Personally, I will not stay here again because of him, although I rated this hotel very high.
The ambience, especially the fireplaces
Location is just wonderful
This was a birthday weekend and the staff really went out of there way to help with the accommodations. It really made you feel like you were in the wilderness. It reminded me of Lake Quinault Lodge. Really enjoyed this place.
The amenities in the room were excellent. I had a water view, a working fireplace, a very comforable clawfoot tub and a beautiful shower. The bedding was really nice and the electrical outlets were positioned to make charging my computer, ipad and phone very convenient. The location worked well because I enjoy walking and had easy access to sites and restaurants from this hotel. The courtesy umbrella came in handy as well!
The reservations clerk did not leave a welcoming impression over the phone, but upon arrival, the hotel staff were all pleasant and helpful.
The view is amazing. Do yourself a favor and splurge for a waterfront view. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are quiet, although not overly spacious. The hotel has a lodge feel without being kitschy. The staff were friendly and always helpful. You are within an easy walk of downtown Seattle, Pike Market, the ferry docks, and some beautiful shops. We would stay there again without hesitation.
The Edgewater is not budget friendly at all, but that is not what we were looking for either. The bed was very uncomfortable, which is a disappointment when you are spending $300+ per night.
Room was beautiful, especially the bathroom. Unfortunately we didn't have a chance to use fireplace. Wonderful view. All staff very helpful and friendly - even gift shop. Would definitely stay here again.
Cost of parking. $39 is higher than New York!
Loved the location and facility
The cost of the onsite parking
Need to have a hottub
Staff, food and room were all great. Location was excellent.
Location; friendly staff; view; fireplace in room; great food; beautiful restaurant; cool history.
Nothing, we would definitely stay again.
It was a business trip and the overall experience with the Edgewater is more than satisfactory. The rooms and the hotel is clean and of course cozy, the location and staff gets perfect 5 stars. Check-in was smooth and the restaurant has excellent service. I particularly liked the wood-fire chimney at my room.
There's isn't much difference between the city facing and the water front facing rooms.
The view of seattle skyline was nice, with addition of the hotel parking lot.
Parking, they charge $40 a day for parking. This should be free for hotel guests.. thats absurd we have to pay especially for this overpriced stay. Rooms were rustic and outdated, but the interior of hotel is well updated.. Online photos are misleading, they were for a penthouse suite.. was very dissapointed when we walked into the small room.
Loved being on the water.
A little expensive.
The resort was one of a kind. We loved our balcony room on the water with a fireplace, it was so cozy and clean! The lobby was so fun to hang out it and restaurant 6 7 had amazing food!
The sea gulls on the water. They were loud in the mornings, there was no barrier for the sea gulls to stay away.
Beds, view, location
Everyone on staff - maids, waiters, frontdesk personnel always greeted the guests.
The soundproofing between rooms and from hallway to room could be improved.
I received poor customer service from two employees. Although my issues were resolved, I was disappointed that instead of resolving what at first was a small issue, it was made worse by poor attitudes.
Room service delivered breakfast 25 minutes late. The cleaning of the room was pretty poor.
Cheap room and decor. Could hear every footstep through the thin walls. Door slamming and water pipe noises.
Everything was fantastic - location, amenities, service, people, food ... Close to the arrival of the ferry from Seattle, a short walk uptown. Perfect spot for anyone.
Great staff; Waterfront views; Quality food; Proximity to space needle and market.
Onlyo one hotel adjacent to the water front of Seattle sea port
1. Toilet flushing was weak. 2. Front entrance bell boys' attitudes was bad.
