Staff were very helpful - work going on outside hotel so got an upgrade without a view but was very happy with that.
Continental breakfast very average.
The concierge was amazing. The staff helped clean off car, pull it to the front in a major snow storm recently. We were stuck there because of the storm from nyc and they were able to book us the same room for another evening. I couldnt of asked for better service.
Location, service, facilities; feels European
Had repairs going on their facade which coupled with all the snow related issues made it hard to get to the valet. Also did not like paying $42/night for valet!
Location. Friendliness and helpfulness of staff. Apartment feel. Quiet.
the staff were amazing. every single one of them
room service options were limited and the choices were not good either.
Very friendly staff, great room, very convenient location by Newbury Street and the T.
The breakfast buffet was disappointing..... went out for breakfast the second morning despite a voucher for the free buffet.
This was a beautiful and unique hotel. The staff were courteous and helpful and offered services I haven't seen in a hotel since I was a child. I loved this old and nostalgic but modern classic.
Nothing. Loved every single thing.
Kind asian staff
1. Unkind front desk 2. Due to hotel construction, we couldn't get a street view. 3. Brakfast was too simple (egg, bread, yogurt), fresh homemade juice was great. 4. No free water (bottels of water excluded even it is named as 5 star hotel!) 5. For gym, it is located outside of hotel which is unconvenient during winter seasons.
Loved the comfy bed and pillows. Loved the sitting room and the location. What wasn't good???? It was spectacular!
Not one thing!
We were looked after at every opportunity. A wonderful stay.
Great location and facilities. I missed the all American breakfast (incl eggs) at breakfast but had very nice pasteries.
Very high sound from the heating system but can be turned off
The location was great, the staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel was charming and the room was very comfortable. Bed was comfortable too (I don't sleep easily so this is very important to me). It was also nice to be in the middle of a big city but not hear traffic sounds from the street. I also liked having a suite so I could have a separate space to get some work done.
I have no complaints but my suite may have felt small if I had been traveling with more than 1 or 2 other people. The bathroom was very nice with marble accents but the space was tight and may be hard to maneuver for people who are very tall or long-limbed.
Location, location, location. Attentive staff
Breakfast included but not the sales tax!!!!
The staff was very cordial and helpful, even when events (and weather) didn't cooperate.
I booked a suite for two adults and one child (age 11). Booking.com said that Wi-Fi and Breakfast were included in the price. However, at the hotel, we found that only two breakfasts were included. The one for my child was not. This was not a huge deal, but it left a sour taste in my mouth.
The wifi didn't work. The heating was extremely difficult to adjust and we froze most of the night.
Two bedroom suite was perfect for privacy and extra space.
What a wonderful hotel! Cant wait to stay when the weather is better so we can walk to all he great places around the Eliot!
It felt like home. The staff were excellent and super friendly
bathrooms too small
Right around the corner from Newbury Street. Staff is exceptional. Place you'll be extremely happy if you are looking for a boutique style hotel
Beautiful hotel. Great staff. They upgraded us to a suite for free. Bed was extremely comfortable. Would definitely stay there again!
Parking was $41 for the night but unfortunately that is still lower than other hotels in the area and since it was 10 degrees outside we weren't interested in trying to find our own parking spot!
Great linens and towels. Lots of hot water! Quiet. Wonderful buffet breakfast. Clio Restaurant in hotel is excellent.
Heat in room. I think source is a heat pump and therefore blowing air feels cool. Don't use heat at night so not a problem except for showering!
Charming staff and old fashioned but comfortable hotel which doesn't feel corporate
Air con / heater made a bit of a racket Room service early morning tea took 45 mins to arrive
Very comfortable family room. The room was clean and warm.
