The wifi didn't work. The heating was extremely difficult to adjust and we froze most of the night.
Two bedroom suite was perfect for privacy and extra space.
What a wonderful hotel! Cant wait to stay when the weather is better so we can walk to all he great places around the Eliot!
It felt like home. The staff were excellent and super friendly
bathrooms too small
Right around the corner from Newbury Street. Staff is exceptional. Place you'll be extremely happy if you are looking for a boutique style hotel
Beautiful hotel. Great staff. They upgraded us to a suite for free. Bed was extremely comfortable. Would definitely stay there again!
Parking was $41 for the night but unfortunately that is still lower than other hotels in the area and since it was 10 degrees outside we weren't interested in trying to find our own parking spot!
Great linens and towels. Lots of hot water! Quiet. Wonderful buffet breakfast. Clio Restaurant in hotel is excellent.
Heat in room. I think source is a heat pump and therefore blowing air feels cool. Don't use heat at night so not a problem except for showering!
Charming staff and old fashioned but comfortable hotel which doesn't feel corporate
Air con / heater made a bit of a racket Room service early morning tea took 45 mins to arrive
Very comfortable family room. The room was clean and warm.
The welcome and continued friendliness of the staff and the facilities available was second to nothing , I would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Boston
Location Staffs Room size However, there is a alarm/ reaio set but only for IPod not iPhone and not enough power sockets outlets at bedside tables, which is not good enough for business ppl nor for some ppl that so used to keep their own tech-equipments "close" enough to reach it whenever needed.
Staff were so nice and made us feel welcome. We were upgraded too which was a bonus. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Excellent location. Thank you.
Excellent personable staff. Superb location.
The ventilation system is woefully inadequate and has got to be replaced. Room temperature was either too hot or too cold and it sounded like a train rumbling through the room. This flaw would deter us from returning, which is a pity because we loved the hotel and the people.
Size, privacy, attentive staff
It was a pleasant surprise that the room was actually a suite, as pictured in the advertisement. Sometimes the lower priced rooms one books on line don't live up to the ones pictured, but this one certainly did. Also we loved having a view of Commonwealth Ave. For $200 per night I expected a brick wall outside the window. We travelled just after Christmas, so the lights of the Ave were lovely.
The parking is extremely expensive, especially when you add the tip to the doorman/valet each time you pick up and drop off the car. It would be nice to have another parking option. Also, the bathrooms could use some hooks, and a bit better lighting. Otherwise all was fine.
rooms - we had a really nice small suite excellent bathroom pretty quiet friendly staff helpful concierge services etc adequate wi-fi
lift kept "dinging" outside our door
The staff are so friendly from arrival to check out. The concierge is a great source of knowledge. The suite we had was well appointed and very comfortable. We were at the back of the hotel so it was very quiet. We would stop here again.
The WiFi signal was not very strong you had to sit in one place in the room and not move
Staff, everything. My kids were treated very well.
Breakfast was slim but good.
The room was beautifully appointed and comfortable. We loved the french influence. The staff was friendly and uber helpful. The doorman went the extra mile. Lovely sitting room with separate sleeping quarters.
Our view was icky.
We love the location of this hotel, it is close to Newberry St and is a great location for a am run which the hotel plans out routes for you. The restaurants are excellent in the hotel for breakfast and late night fare. Would love to try the sushi however it is always very busy. We have stayed here several times and will continue to stay here.
The area is wonderful and the hotel very close to the subway. We really loved this hotel and I'm sure we'll choose this hotel for our next trip to Boston.
The staff was Fantastic. Great location. Nice hotel.
They did not mention all the various taxes when I made the reservation, which is true of most hotels, but evidently Boston has allot. December trip. Windows leaked air. Watched TV wrapped in a bedspread.
