Suite was beautiful. Roomy, stylish and very comfortable. Location was great. In walking distance of great restaurants, the Prudential centre and shops.

The age and respect for history of the hotel. The staff was wonderful.

They are doing away with the bathtubs! I was in a redone room first which only has a walk in shower. I moved to an older suite (not as nice) but had a bathtub. I am sorry they are doing away with all bathtubs.

Boutique hotel with old style French charm. Hospitality of staff. Quiet!!! Well situated for BU access and Newberry St. Close to Kenmore station. Great restaurant in hotel. Included subsidized breakfast at restaurant or room service. Comfy beds. Great cookies upon arrival was nice treat. Good water pressure and shower heads.

Small bathroom - better for one person - but nicely appointed and very clean. No coffee maker in room. No bottled water by bed - only in mini bar for purchase.

suite was lovely, nice bedroom with comfortable beds, marble bathroom and shower, very clean room, coffee maker in the morning was fabulous, right near a T stop, walking distance to nice restaurants, no need for car. great staff, brought me fresh cream for coffee in the morning!

two light bulbs were out in room, location good but near end of newbury st.

Unfortunately we arrived just after the bombs had gone off, the staff were on hand immediately to help and reassure us, they were extremely kind and upgraded us to a suite. Maureen booked us in for dinner at a local Restaurant and even sent us over her favourite cocktail while we were having dinner. Room was very comfortable and clean, location was good - will be back!!

The staff were so very friendly and helpful. I asked for a flat pillow, and before I knew it, it was in my room. Perfect location, beautiful rooms and lots of comfort.

Lovely hotel, attentive and accommodating staff, great Back Bay location.

Room may need some updating and cleaning. Staff indicated the problems come from a renovation project next door to the hotel.

Liked the suite style and the very comfortable king bed. Excellent strong shower. Fragrant Pure hydrating soap and shampoo. Nice and roomy. Very friendly staff. Extremely accomadating. Brought 2 cups of coffee to room when we could not get coffee machine to work.

New keurig coffee machine was lacking an electrical socket; we had to call front desk so they could pull out the refrigerator and plug in the coffee machine (a little frustrating) not well thought out.

We very much liked the kind upgrade to a suite on arrival. Room layout very attractive. Bathroom fitted out to a high standard. Cleanliness supremely wonderful. Proximity to city centre a major bonus. Newspaper to door each morning appreciated.

Nothing to criticize, except perhaps the amount of bread in continental breakfast basket. A piece of fruit or a yoghurt might replace two pieces of bread. Only a suggestion, not a criticism.

The night I spent at the hotel was great. The location is very convenient (Back Bay area). The staff were really nice and the room was big (with couches and 2 TV sets).

Upon arrival they upgraded our room to a suite which I thought was very nice. The room was very comfortable and clean. Everything in the room, from the bed, the bedshits, the bathproducts etc- were very good quality. Overall one of the most comfortable stays we had. Also the hotel is in a very good neighborhood and has a good location in terms of visiting the city.

Helpful front of house staff. Very plush suites which are generally well appointed. In an upmarket part of the city conveniently close to a subway station.

Lack of coffee/tea making facilities - absurd in a hotel of this class. Slow room service. Noisy air conditioning unit - very intrusive - had to turn off at night to get to sleep.

Upgraded upon arrival. Left important chargers behind in bathroom which they sent on to my hotel in nyc without charge. Excellent service. Will definitely stay here again

We liked the shower and the mattress. It was quiet.

The "suite" was attractive, but rather small. Our room, while pricey, had a view of the alley and the building next door.

All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I was upgraded to a suite upon arrival. The room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was nice.

The furnace/AC was weak. I wanted the room cooler but it would not even reach 65 degrees. I smelled truck exhaust on a couple occasions from trucks outside through the ventilation.

The room was dirty, a socket sparked and stopped working when I plugged something into it and worst of all, to get coffee in the morning I had to go to the restaurant and buy it to go. Or, I could have paid a small fortune to have room service. Oh wait. I've already paid plenty to stay in a boutique hotel. I've stayed in a lot of boutique hotels and this one just didn't work. I don't need a staff person to press the elevator button for me. I'd rather have coffee with my newspaper, a clean bathroom and fewer fire hazards. And while I'm at it, why do they hand out usa Today instead if The San Francisco Chronicle?

The hotel should consider switching to card keys. I was travelling with my son, and our schedules didn't coincide 100%. Having only one traditional key was inconvenient. Two card keys would have made our stay much more relaxing. Also, the old type keys gave some some problems with opening our door!
