Staff Was Super Sweet n Friendly and Our Room Was super Beautiful and The View Was Amazing!
The Fact We Couldn't Stay Longer lol
Location, nice room.
By Waikiki standard Equs was good value although the name is grander than the establishment. A little noise, so best to see if you can get one of the upper storey rooms. Staff esp. Queenie on reception were friendly & helpful
Employees are helpful
$25 parking is to much
Location in the center of Waikiki. The room was clean and the air conditioner worked.
Rooms were ordinary, but clean. Price too high for quality. I would stay there if necessary, but I would not seek the property out.
The staff were friendly and filled any of our requests quickly and accurately.
The elevator was very slow coming and going. I could have walked up the stairs or down in the time it took to call the elevator and did a couple of times.
Excellent customer care/service and a great staff
Everyone was so very nice and helpful.
Lack of ice machine and parking.
Rooms not really spacious but quite clean and equipped with all the necessities. Friendly staff. Location is very nice. Can get to Magic Island and Ala Moana Center (two of our favorite places) in 10 minutes.
Nothing specific to complain about really. The entrance is a little hidden especially if you want to enter with a car.
A lovely little boutique hotel at the southern end of Waikiki, bus/shuttle stop not far away. A short walk to the Ala Moana shopping centre and eateries close by if you don't want to go into Waikiki. Found a 24hr Coffee place (Wailana Coffee House) that was very popular great service and food, give it a try.
Noisey even though we were on the 6th floor and at the back of the Hotel.
Great location, for overnight prior to cruise. Close to Waikiki beaches and restaurants. Clean and comfortable.
Lack of breakfast, but McDonald's is nearby (recommend you avoid the Portuguese sausage at McDonald's unless you are partial to fried baloney).
Room was clean, remodeled (& w/ small refrigerator). Staff very friendly & helpful. Great location - convenient walk to many places (or free trolley, if you're not a walker). I'll definitely be back! :->
My only complaint was the "pillow top" had a few lumps in it from the down separating (like a balled up wash cloth). I learned to lay away from it (couldn't flatten it out). Front desk always busy, but Bellmen (if there), always jumped in to help. (Minor complaints, esp. compared to the next hotel I stayed in!)
Location was very convenient for my business meeting. The in room coffee machine was new and nice with plenty of cartridges for coffee available.
The wireless internet was a little inconsistent and gave us a few dropped connections. No printer available in the lounge area. The bed was very soft and sagged in the center.
10 MIN WALK TO MALL AND OTHER AMENITIES
Really nice room although I did ask to move to one without the very large 4 poster bed. Lots of nice details and very comfortable room including a sitting balcony.
Unfortunately this lovely hotel is located on noisy Ala Moana street.
Comfortable bed, and convenient location to the huge Ala Moana Center and to the Waikiki beaches.
Our room was on the 7th floor and as far from Ala Moana Boulevard as it is possible to get in the hotel. We don't like using air conditioning at night, so slept with a partly-opened window, and the noise from unsilenced Harley Davidson motorcycles racing along Ala Moana Boulevard during the night was enough to wake us up.
We were happy to be away from the crowds, the beach is only a 10-15 minute walk, although the hotel is on a busy main road there was little noise at night. We would stay here again. Good coffee!!!
TV was very difficult to regulate. But staff were helpful. Door to the balcony did not close completely. Overall still a good stay.
photo with obama and staff at the reception; location; relatively fast wifi; coffee-machine at the room;
quite old and depressing furniture, the hotel needs renovation; very noisy (there is a road nearby); didn't notice while booking, that there were 14% of extra taxes. was a bit surprised, looking at my credit card transactions. for this price could find a better hotel. quite poor swimming pool :D
Room was dirty. Filter on the air conditioner was disgusting
Location is pretty good. Price is not too bad considering the cost of other hotels in the same area. There was a fridge in the room and ironing board and iron.
Not very good soundproofing of the rooms, we could hear noise from the street. It wasn't too bad, but it was a bit annoying. We could also hear talking from the room (or perhaps balcony of the room) next to us. There was also not enough space, where to put my clothes. There was a wardrobe in the bathroom, but it only had 4 clothes hangers and nothing else.
The staff was not very helpful or friendly. Advice we've been given had been inaccurate. When we left an item behind the reception was very unhelpful on the phone, putting us on hold and not getting back to us. We had to call back four times and go by to retrieve the item. Rooms are fairly noisy due to the traffic. Cleaners do not seem to change sheets. Rooms were not ready when we arrived after the agreed check in time.
No elevator to street level.
Friendly staff. Near shopping. Food and bus line. we had a lanai and could glimpse the ocean between the buildings.
Stairs to enter were difficult with those who had strollers luggage etc. Almost no lobby area.
The guy at the front desk was a delight and he let us check in early after a long flight from Australia (loved him for that). Concierge was super helpful. Super close to the bus and ala Moana shops.
The stairs leading up were tough with luggage and the road noise made it hard to sleep. My advice would be to ask for a room at the back.
