Equus Hotel    

Hotel has a great location, walking distance 5 min to Waikiki beach and Hilton Village. Lots of night entertainment is close by but hotel is very quiet at night so you can rest. Staff is very friendly, hotel is very clean and all was just perfect! Wifi available at fast speed. would recommend to all who enjoy staying at a nice but not *posh* hotel for a great price.

The staff was pleasant, knowledgeable, and always available to help. My room was clean and well appointed, with all the necessities. For what I paid, it turned out to be a great stay that was also budget friendly. Will definitely stay again!

Besides staffs, the room(hotel itself) seems to be very old. The room is also very noisy both within the hotel and outside the hotel (traffic).

The location

This building is not a hotel your website is misleading & needs to change. At best it is a converted condominium structure. It has no dining room, it has no bar, is has no friendly facilities. The wi-fi is eratic at best.

Great location very close to good shopping and easy enough access to Waikiki. Room was basic but clean, had a fridge and hairdryer which was nice and the staff were very good.

The room was a bit noisy, not from internal hotel noise but from Ala Moana traffic noise

Good location right in Waikiki and close to beach. Also within one block walking distance to Ala Moana shopping center. Very close to public transportation stops.

carpet could have used a good cleaning and also the room could have used a deep cleaning. Windows let in a lot of street noise so come soundproofing is needed.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean upon checkin. The gentleman who was in the garage was awesome. I didn't get his name, but wish I had.

No one explaining how you had to have your room key in to make a/c work. Maid service wasn't the best. The bathroom and shower were too small. The shower had no place to put shampoo ect.

Having going to the Equus Hotel over the past two years I always look forward to the staff's excellent attitude and services. There is one particular front desk staff "Puka" that always have made our stay at the Equus accommodating and comfortable by sharing his sincere spirit of Aloha.

It's not a big problem, just a suggestion, the facility needs more parking spaces available for the guests.

Location was good to restaurants

Only 6 parking spaces for guests. No Internet the entire week stay. I was told it would be fixed and it never was. One elevator for relatively large hotel. Could not get a late check out. Our plane departed at 9 Pm. Had to check out by noon. Should have stayed at the Hilton!

Staff was great. Very clean. Close to Waikiki Beach. Close to great food.

No bath tub. Next door neighbors sound traveled right into our room via common door.

The staff was courteous informative and very Courteous.

We couldn't fault the helpful, friendly staff. They were so wonderful. Also the king bed was exceptionally comfortable.

Location is walking distance between Waikiki and Ala Moana beaches which was nice. Price is reasonable if your splitting a two bedroom with someone.

Staff seemed unprofessional like they were hired friends and family instead based on experience in the hotel industry. Parking is $20/day, which was not mentioned to me when they gave me a pass.

Location: close to both Alamoana (shops / bus interchange / boat harbors) and Waikiki (beaches / hilton hawaiian village / lagoon) front desk staff: always cheerful, always helpful. Would suit a solo traveller or a couple more than a family. If you are looking for is a comfortable place to sleep in a convenient location, Equus is fine.

Price: over-priced for the quality of the room rooms: simple, small, dark (would be fine for a solo traveller or a couple) lack of facilities: pool is small and unappealling (and unnecessary - given the beaches and pools available nearby). website is misleading: the tennis courts and other facilities associated with the nearby condos are NOT available for guests at the Equus.

Nice renovated bathroom. You can borrow towels and boards for the beach for free.

A bit far from the heart of Waikiki but on the other hand it is close to Ala Moana shopping mall.

The hotel was a great location. Close to the beach, shopping and dinning.

Although the location was close to everything. It was on the main road so you could hear the traffic at night.

Location and the price. The view from window was why I actually chose to stay there.

The room looked much better on the web site but unfortunately it was a little bit of a let down. I guess I had higher expectations?
