Restaurant onsite has good food but extremely slow service.
Staff was less than happy to serve. Fire alarm went off due to kitchen staff. Quarter machine in game room broken.
The bed was very comfy and the in room amenities were nice.
The front desk staff lied and said I was getting a 20 percent discount for taking a handicapped room because of burst pipes, when I knew that I had reserved this particular room already for the very fact that it was cheaper. It was a stupid ploy to make us feel like we were getting a deal. The room itself was fine, but the hotel hot tub was cold, games in the game room and the change machine were broken, and overall I did not feel like I was staying at a luxury resort. I still believe the place was overpriced even with the discount.
view and walking paths were outstanding.
Beautiful resort with fantastic views. Great location. Loved the pillow-top bed and quality linens.
liked the location near the water
the cost is far greater than the value of the room. We researched other places in the area and found much more luxurious accommodations for less money.
Food was good. Service great. Room and view was great.
Wine selection by the glass limited for cabranet. 3 moose was terrible.
*View *Friendly Staff *Close activities *Fair Price *Comfort of hotel/hotel room *The option to rent a boat to go fishing
*Price of food at restaurant-many options in Estes Park
Location, balcony and excellent customer service last year when we had to cancel due to their flood devastation.
Poor housekeeping and exorbitant cost. Never stayed in a hotel that was so over priced despite the location. There seemed a reliance on pure location and such detail as cleaning coffee cups; replenishing drinking cups; leaving alone own property (half a bottle of own sparkling water removed) & closing the room door after cleaning (door was left open) was not met. While I would recommend to friends and family, it would be with a caution. So sorry as I really wanted this to be the pinnacle of our holiday.
Good staff allowed for room upgrade.
First room was ok but the beds were so sway backed (over two inches) that we refused the room. Second room was great, but the bed was not much better. Horrible nights sleep. Not worth the money paid.
Although the setting of the hotel is wunderfull and the nature in the surrouding is breathtaking, our room on the ground floor had no view. The only things we saw passing by were the feet of the guests passing the entrance. the ventilation shaft opposite our room made that we couldn't open the windows
A room with no air conditioning and a view of a brick wall (below ground level)...and we were not told about it ahead of time. What a scam...not a good deal. Also, no moose to see just outside by the lake, as indicated in the ad.
We hope to return. We appreciated being able to upgrade our room once we got there. Lovely fireplace suite on the lake; great for walking around. Trail Ridge road had bighorns right next to road! Loved pikas, marmots, and flowers on our hike. Enjoyed the nearby Stanley Hotel for delicious second night steak dinner. Ghost tour was interesting history.
The hotel restaurant food and service was just fair at dinner. Fishermen would appreciate tackle and boat shop being open earlier, when fish are active.
Location Setting Comfort Restaurant food Lemon aide and cookies in afternoon, coffee in am in lobby
Pool- really makes the resort a "hotel" Only acceptable story in hotel, is 2nd or 3rd, otherwise subterranean Staff wasn't able to make recommendations for Rocky Mountain national park activities / hikes for us
Loved everything about the facility - great food, nice comfortable beds, value was just right, quiet atmosphere - overall a great getaway
Good location and ample parking. Restaurant on site. Comfortable room.
Pricy food and bar tender did not wish to make a cocktail on the bar menu. Wine arrived after we had eaten our meal. Breakfast is a separate charge and not included in the rate as in most other US hotels.
The facility was in a great location on the lake and the building is beautiful. The room with a lake and mountain view was amazing. We had booked a 2 double bed room and paid extra for the "view" because we wanted a balcony and reading the reviews on here about "non-view" rooms. At arrival, we were told our "assigned" room had mechanical issues and we were upgraded to a "King suite". It was very nice.
Restaurant pricing- we didn't eat in the restaurant, but the menu pricing seemed excessive for the area. We went to a very nice steak place at a different resort and prices were much better at the off site restaurant.
Good facility, good food. Thought it was a little pricy.
Very nice location near town but far enough away to not be too crazy. Right on lake with access to walking/bike path. Very near 2 entrances to RMNP.
While it calls it self a resort the pool while indoors was very small and not exactly a lot of resort amenities. A nice place but more small hotel then resort and a bit pricey.
The lake view.
Severe miscommunication among the staff.
View across lake to mountains - but you pay extra for it.
Restaurant was poor.
Beds were horrible felt like hole in middke of mattress.
On the lake and easy access to town.
I had the 2nd floor room facing the parking lot. Very loud people above me at 6 am. Room was hot, A/C didn't work.
The view and the location was wonderful. Also, the weather was amazing ... I recommend the hotel if you are looking for relaxation
The food is not that waaaaaw but its ok.
Location and the view. Staff was excellent when asking for something.
