The staff is so nice and personable. Although we live in SF our suite was so spectacular with our views that it was really like it is in postcards. The Cathedral, Mark Hopkins, Pacific Union Club, fog horns, cable cars clinging by made it magical.

Great hotel, lovely breakfast, great location. The bathroom although great in size had very poor facilities as there was hardly any water coming from the shower and no alternative. This was an upgrade room on 12th floor so it was really disappointing. But most of all it was virtually impossible to shower!

The hotel location is prime. Right on both cable car lines and MUNI only minutes away. The hotel is a 5 star.....spotless and quick to handle any demands. I could only stay 5 days.

The Lobby was beautiful. The staff at the Fairmont were rude, I never received good service or smiles . The only pleasant people were the front doorman and the maids. Sad!!! I will never stay at this facility again or recommend it to anyone.

We liked how large and spacious the room was. We also were very pleased with the bathroom. The lobby was also very beautiful. First, we were very upset by the fact that the WI-fi was not included in the price of the room. The complimentary Ethernet did not work well at all. We were also extremely shocked at how we were treated as a young couple. It seemed that the hotel staff did not take us seriously and made us feel as though we did not belong at the hotel. Because of this, we chose to not eat at the hotel restaurant. This was very upsetting and would prevent us from staying in the future.

Decor and history of the building. The menu was limited for vegetarians. I think generally for the price we paid we could get more for our money elsewhere in San Francisco. Not enough is made on the history of the building.

A grand hotel with spectacular views of the city, an impressive lobby, and a very friendly staff. It is expensive and they still nickel and dime you (charge for wi-fi access; more than $60 per day for parking...).

Walls were thick and therefore quiet 5 to 7 am only for coffee in lobby; Very cheap for a 4 star hotel and no coffee maker in rooms! Wanted to add extra nite but price had jumped to $499. Baseboards had dust buildup;tv monitor was defective
