At 10:15 AM, there was no place in the hotel to get any espresso drinks. We had breakfast elsewhere.

Loved the live band and dancing and nearby restaurants. Was awesome to stay at the same hotel as the US women's soccer team since we were there to see compete.

Have to pay for WiFi. Even my phone internet access was slow in the room
Beautiful lobby, music at night. Room was very clean, attractive, and comfortable
11 May 2015
the room was showing major signs of age. OLD shower stall with mold in grout. Wallpaper peeling in bathroom, stains on carpet and the mattress was visibly sunken in which made the night's sleep end with a sore back in the morning.
The staff and the ease of check-in

I upgraded to a King Patio Suite. Outdoor furniture was stained, cigarette burnt and table wasn't clean. The addition of an umbrerella would be nice and a bit more of a private gate.

The bar in the lobby had slow self consumed staff. We had to get up andook for them. Sorry our business disturbed them.
The staff at check in. The room. The view.

Pay for everything. No free wifi. That is a serious bummer since every single cheap hotel you find, gives you wifi for free. No fridge or microwave either! Outrageous!! I was there for 5 days. I needed to heat food and keep drinks cool but couldn't. Very frustrating! The only cooler was the one filled with 40$ sodas and water that you can't even touch without being billed for. It seemed everything there was over priced and searched out reasons to bill you. The bar room on the lobby was nice. Until I payed $21 for a double whiskey. Insane to think that such a small amount of alcohol cost $21. Lots of homeless people littering the streets around.
Staff was nice. The facility was clean and well kept. View was spectacular from the 19th floor. It's dead center to all the wonderful things San Jose has to offer. Comfy bed and nice bathrooms are always something I am happy to see.

Upon checkin they gave us our room. Upon enetering the room there was already someones purse, shopping bags and items in the room. When we went back to the front desk to let them know they were rude and seemed bothered by the inconvience. In fact when ever I asked them what the guarantee of this not happening to me in our room and they said this never happens and to not worry about it. No apologies, no manager nothing. Also let me remind you that there was another persons PURSE and personal belongings sitting in this room.
The overall look and atmosphere was very elegant.

service is slow for breakfast My room this time was not refreshed for 48hrs and has a previous persons yoghurt in the fridge. Disappointed based on cost
The bed and cleanliness of the room is amazing

Bar drinks too expensive
11 April 2015
I had two issues that left a bad taste in my mouth. I ordered a drink and when I tasted it the flavor was off. When I told the waiter I was given an explanation of he didn't understand how that could be. Finally it was fixed. When we checked out we were charged for two movies we didn't watch. The clerk gave us an explanation of she didn't understand how that could happen. Seriously I didn't want an explanation or to feel like I was lying. I felt very uncomfortable.
It's so easy to fall in love with the Fairmont. The ambience and location is perfect for fun weekend travel.

The minibar was too pricey and there was no room for guests needs. Left item in the room and was impossible to get help retrieving it. Staff actually said they were "busy with VIPs".
I liked the atmosphere and service at the bar. I loved that a day spa was available after a long day on my feet, and the conserve offered me a coupon for the spa.

Usually the beds are very comfortable, but that was not the case this time. Perhaps the mattress had outlived its time, but it had a roll to the middle feel and was not what I had come to expect from this hotel. Price was bit steep, but more of a consequence of an event going on in the city (all the hotels were pricey).
Staff were friendly and courteous. Room was immaculately clean as always. I love the location as it is only a few blocks from good restaurants and the venues that bring us to San Jose.

Typically hotel room windows open just enough to let in air, these room windows did not open at all. This, coupled with a poor air delivery system, left my wife and I extrmely uncomfortable and not able to sleep well at all.
Location was fantastic, nice hotel overall.

The only things we wished were a little different were that there would have been a refrigerator (not just a mini bar) and that parking was maybe a bit more reasonable.
We really enjoyed the location in downtown. The amenities were great as well as the rooms. The cleaning service and staff were also wonderful. We also enjoyed the pool and the restaurants in the area. The hotel restaurant was very accommodating to our toddler son.

Furniture a little dated, but I had to dig deep to come up with that.
Upgrade option for $60/night for more than double the space
14 March 2015
Room was extremely disappointing. Stay last year and was completely a different room. We paid for 3 couples. My son's tiolet had poop splashed on the back. The glasses in our room by the bottled water was used. Horrible pillows. Not enough seating in the room. Broken shelf by the refrigerator. Very disappointing,
Dinner at the Grill was good, however, it was overly priced.

Room was cleaned one day over four. Service came to clean late afternoon when I was back in the room, unusefull. Not acceptable in a so expensive hotel
Location in donwtown close to restaurants public transportation supermarkets and airport

noisy pipes kept us awake. There was no way to stop the noise with the heat controls in the room.
