We really enjoyed the location in downtown. The amenities were great as well as the rooms. The cleaning service and staff were also wonderful. We also enjoyed the pool and the restaurants in the area. The hotel restaurant was very accommodating to our toddler son.
The only things we wished were a little different were that there would have been a refrigerator (not just a mini bar) and that parking was maybe a bit more reasonable.
Upgrade option for $60/night for more than double the space
Furniture a little dated, but I had to dig deep to come up with that.
Dinner at the Grill was good, however, it was overly priced.
Room was extremely disappointing. Stay last year and was completely a different room. We paid for 3 couples. My son's tiolet had poop splashed on the back. The glasses in our room by the bottled water was used. Horrible pillows. Not enough seating in the room. Broken shelf by the refrigerator. Very disappointing,
Location in donwtown close to restaurants public transportation supermarkets and airport
Room was cleaned one day over four. Service came to clean late afternoon when I was back in the room, unusefull. Not acceptable in a so expensive hotel
the beds, baths, tv were good. We generally liked the hotel & its location.
noisy pipes kept us awake. There was no way to stop the noise with the heat controls in the room.
Size of rooms and cleanliness
The room and quietness of it !
I walked in around 1:30 am from street guy ran up to me and asked me if I was checking in I said no ! Then asked you have a key card I said yes and kept walking , when does valet parking do this seems like a guest services or security ??
staff service is awesome
i wish they have free internet, actually they have if you become member which i tried online and got lost because the questionnaire was toooo long
Convenient to purpose of trip
Staff were ill informed about their own establishment and seemed to know very little about area
Bar tenders, experience questionable on one or two
Staff were always very helpful. Room was excellent. Location Good.
They said the pool was heated. It was probably only 65 to 70 degrees. Heat the pool People!!!!
If you're attending any cultural event this is the place to stay.
Fairmont is our go to place to stay when we attend events at the SAP Center. The hotel and courtyard have everything we need for a wonderful evening and day.
Nothing...Fairmont is perfect. Well maybe a better system for valet parking. We would like to have the ability to call down and have our car ready when we want to leave. That's all
View, friendly efficient service.
Paid wifi. Many of the Hotels we frequent still offer free wifi and that is definitely a plus. I usually have to mix a little business with pleasure and become frustrated with additional charges. In addition my grand babies love to get on their iPads and all those charges add up.
In this day and age, especially in San Jose- wifi should be free. Not $14 a day when you are already paying $175 per night and $26 bicks to park your car.
Our room was spacious, very clean and the staff were all very friendly.
Our room was quite old and not renovated much at all. I was frankly a bit surprised that any rooms in a Fairmont property could be so out of date. There are not a lot of great hotel options in San Jose so I would possibly stay here again, but with lower expectations.
Very professional polite and accommodating staff throughout our stay!
The bed felt like it was missing a comforter or other heavier top blanket. Staff was very friendly and helpful and good central location.
I am very surprised that now a day a 4 star hotel like yours still charge WiFi per day.. I expect your hotel to give free WiFi like thousands of other hotels. A lot of public places provide free WiFi. It would be nice if we get free WiFi.
Nice central location.
Parking is valet and can take up to a 1/2 hour to get your car.
Heater was not working properly
Room okay but due to obnoxious non paying guests they allowed in, was away from this hotel as much as possible. Zero rec on my part.
The entire atmosphere was a nightmare. Checked in on Monday, 22nd, and did not return until late that night, The rude, obnoxious people, who were not staying in the hotel, did not allow me to get to my room. I was horrified that the entire hotel was overrun by these people. I had to pay almost double the fare from the am to the pm as these people flowed into the hotel. I had to sit and wait as they walked into the hotel. Have stayed at the SF Fairmont numerous times. Several times for weddings in Santa Monica. Recently in Sept. 2014. Not prepared at all for the obnoxious people, that this so called Fairmont allowed to be in the hotel. It is the obligation of this hotel to advise one of this obnoxious people they allow into their lobby. I called the hotel and NEVER was told anything about this. This hotel really ruined my visit with my daughter. We never had a meal there. Oh we did have coffee after Christmas!
