The staff at the Fairmont Chicago were all absolutely fantastic, they were so helpful throughout my stay!
Nice lobby and room facilities
Nobody pulled gate even if you have many laggages and nobody helped to arrange taxi
I loved how the lobby looked, it made me feel important and all the staff were nice and helpful. I loved how the bathroom is split into 3 parts, very cool. Great hotel.
If you guys had a mini fridge and microwave it would of been complete.
Rooms are excellent - nice layouts, separate wc, shower, bath, spacious Staff were very helpful
The upgrade to a suite on the Gold Floor. The attentive service.
The location is excellent and the atmosphere of the hotel is welcomeing any time you entered the hotel
The cleanliness is not that good compared to a 5 star hotel its poor regrading cleaning the bathroom
Staff is not friendly, and they speak to you like they are permanently in a hurry to do something else When checking out several EXTRAS appear on the bill...they charge you for whatever reason they can find, from receiving physical mail to dialing 800 phone numbers... No umbrellas when raining They seem to be more focused on housing external events than treating their customers as they should VERY NOISY AT NIGHT. JUST BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, not the best place if you are looking for a decent sleep.
Terribly maintained rooms.
Stunning views of Millennium Park, central location, comfy kingsize beds, access to Pedway, helpful and accommodating check-in staff when our booking.com reservation didn't show up on their system.
No swimming pool, no breakfast restaurant (or unclear where if there is).
The room was comfortable and spacious enough with some limitations (see What didn't you like). I loved the fitness room equipment, free weights and staff. The doormen were very friendly, accommodating and always welcomed you back to the hotel. It was so nice to be able to check in as soon as I arrived, which was at about 11 am.
The mattress padding kept coming off the bed in the middle of the night, the cleaning staff was loud in the morning (the maid's closet was right outside my door) and the pocket door into the toilet/shower area was almost impossible to move from its weight. Also, the location of the closet door to the bathroom door made it impossible to enter or leave the bathroom if someone was in the closet. Finally, why paid WiFi? That is so inconvenient.
Staff were all very friendly. Generally rooms were quiet.
People checking into the next room after midnight - and we could hear their conversation.
The Price is fair, and it's location is very good, very convenient, stuffs are friendly and Breakfast is ok. If you are a traveler making hard decisions to find a hotel among all those expensive ones, i would recommend to stay at Fairmont.
they don't have a swimming pool.
Didn't like the cost of parking. There should be a less expensive rate for those just park for for the nite. No in and out privileges.
Location is terrific. Hotel in general is very nice.
Housekeeping was not great. There were hairs in the shower stall and the maid failed to replace the coffee cups, tea, or other drinking glasses after our first night. Water pressure in shower was also very inadequate. Also, the room was in good but not great shape, surprising for a Fairmont property. The carpet in our room was very stained and old-looking. Could use some updating.
The lobby and restaurants as were very attractive and sophisticated.
In the 35th floor room needs some decor; it is rather boring.
The bathroom was very dirty, it seemed he had days without clean the tub...
Great location in a wonderful city. Good food!
Not the typical Fairmont- the room was dark and gloomy. We were there for 5 days no drawers? Lived in suitcases. Room was dark limited lighting. Bathroom was run down- damaged door , flooring and dark. Hot days and we had issues with the air conditioning. Great location and price but more like a Marriort vs. Fairmont. Food was good but very overpriced!
No free WI-FI
Location of the hotel and comfort of beds were good to excellent. The room we stayed in was clean and attractive.
1) The hot water took a long time to get hot. 2) The shower head moved on its own with resultant variable temperature. 3) If one does not have a long reach, one cannot close the drapes on the south side window of our room without standing on top of furniture. 4) A lot of money for inconveniences which should be corrected.
rooms were not ready on time
Really really loved this hotel. Housekeeping was a little pushy in getting us out in the morning. Check out was at 12pm and by 9am they were knocking on our door asking when we'd be out. I definitely thought that was rude but other than that everything was just fantastic!
Pushy housekeeping Mini fridge wasn't very cold Mini fridge needed to be cleaned out
This hotel is quiet and close to everything in Chicago. Rooms are very nice and staff is helpful.
They even had bikes to loan out. Great hotel!
Price for the stay is rather high. Moreover, you should pay for breakfast extra!
