The place had old world charm and was good value and reasonably priced, considering how expensive accommodation is in Boston. It was also close to the light rail service that gets you downtown to areas like the theatre district. I would stay there again without a doubt. The wi-fi dropped out in the morning which was a little disappointing.

Everything.... The rats under the floor were the icing on the cake. Very dirty, careless staff, no blankets and radiators switched off; Boston is not warm. It was only booked as there were no other rooms available and at £108 per night this was the worst rip off I encountered in the us.

I really enjoyed my stay. I moved into the inn due to an emergency situation that required me to move all my stuff out of my apartment in less than 24 hours. Not having a lot of money, I desperately looked around for a budget hotel in the Boston area that had very few instances of bed bugs and a price I could afford after forfeiting 2 weeks of rent. I found the Farrington. It was quiet and nice, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It was a good, quiet place for me to gather my thoughts, while at the same time being close to convenience stores, restaurants and shops. The bathroom facilities were quite old. Servicable, certainly, and not so bad that I had reservations about using them, but the tiles were cracked and the porcelain yellowed. Compared to the cleanliness of my room it was a bit strange. There are no elevators, and three floors. So if you have trouble making it up the stairs be sure to ask for a room on a lower floor!

The hotel was very cheap for being Head of the Charles weekend. It's in a nice location with plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants nearby. Little more than two large houses remodeled into hotel rooms. The hallways had a bit of an odor. The shared bathrooms seemed quite dank.

I was under the impression that I was renting a two room with a shared bathroom. Thats wat it said online. I did not like the fact the bathroom was down the hall, and that everyone shared it. When I was online the picture of the hotel was definately not the picture of the hotel I stayed at. There was no blankets in the room, the tv was in spanish, the bes squeeked, and it was cold and I was very unsatisfied.

Close to cafes for breakfast and evening meals. Good train connections to city and airport. Reasonable price compared to all other hotels in Boston. Was able to book on line Room was clean but needed refurbishment. Same for bathrooms.

It was close to Boston University. I did not like the musty/moldy smell. I did not like the fact that the bathroom had no shampoo & no hand towels. The price was outrageous for the accomodations.

It was competely worse experience I have ever faced whole in my life. Hotels smells very very bad. My room was so dirty! The shared bathrooms were terrible that you cant imagine. During my 7 days stay I didnt want to go to the bathroom because you can never assumme I what may see inside.

It was very quiet and peaceful. Was actually surprised to see a tv and a/c in the room. Wasn't quite expecting that. It was a bit too pricey for what they were offering. For that amount, they could at least serve a light breakfast, or even just coffee. The rooms were not cleaned regularly, but common spaces like the corridors, common room and bathroom were. However, if you are in Boston for business that keeps you out of the Inn a lot, this should not be a problem.

The location is very poor.it's 30 min far from the city centre by subway. Staff was never there, no pc. But the worst thing was the unbelievable smell bad, we had to close our nose to go to the common toilet from the room.Don't go there, i'll prefer to spend 50 euros more and living better!!

Free parking and free wireless internet. Decent location. Staff was pleasant. Hotel was very low budget. I looked at three of the shared bathrooms in the building and all three of them were pretty horrible. Two were clean, but the third (closest to our room) really smelled. It smelled a bit moldy and I felt that I had to put my shoes on each time that I walked in there. All three bathrooms had severely cracked ceramic tiles (in the range of over 100 cracks). When you walked on the ceramic tiles, they felt like they were coming off the floor. There were no showerheads on two of the showers - just a pipe coming out of the wall. None of the bathrooms had paper towels in the holders to dry your hands. While there were liquid soap dispensers at the sinks, there was no soap in them. The room was clean, but the mattress was very uncomfortable - what a cheap mattress! There were two of us in our party, but they only left one towel in our room. That's okay though - my boyfriend was too grossed out to even take a shower. There was a window air conditioner in the room, however I prefer to sleep with the windows open and it was pretty noisy until about 12:30 am on a Thursday night.

For me location was good once I found Farrington St. Need to provide residence with a map showing location of metro and buses. Most people don't know where Farrington Street is.
