Location, quiet, value,
Musty smell, yet it is the shore--facilities basic, yet adequate.
It's not expensive and it had 2 rooms so traveling with our daughter wasn't an issue. It's right on the water which is nice.
It's a tiny place, old, not modern at all. It is a place you can go when you want to save money and have a place to sleep...
Tight space in bedrooms needs updating
The convenience of having the ocean right outside our door. Very relaxing-just what we were hoping for. Looking forward to next year-same time same place.
Not a thing!
Kitchen supplies were poor.
The place was clean and reasonable for location.
Beds were uncomfortable
Location on the beach. Friendly staff
Room 3 needs a serious upgrade. It is so old that it was dusty and moldy. My family stayed in 2 other units that were lovely. Screen was torn on check in.
Loved the view of the ocean! Rooms were clean! Great price will defiantly return!
Walls are thin, no one on premisses after hours, no ac.
The view was beautiful. The rooms were adorable and super clean. Can't wait to come back next year. A real value!!!
Had to find a good spot to use iPad and phone
The motel was very quiet, clean and comfortable. It was right on the beach and close to everything.
The bed was a little hard, but besides that everything was perfect
The housekeeper was great. It was a nice view and the property itself was also easy to find and centrally located in the town.
We were disappointed with what we thought we were reserving through booking.com. We chose these accommodations because it was supposed to be two floors - one bedroom on the second floor and two bathrooms. When I called to confirm our reservation I found out that not only were we not going to be getting that, it wasn't offered at all at the Garlands. Due to the sandy area it would have been beneficial to either have a small vacuum in the suite or to have no carpeting except maybe in the bedrooms. There was also no air conditioning available in the suite. The wifi stopped working on the 2nd day as was not repaired by our 4th day either. The usual items included in a stay at a hotel/motel (hair dryer, iron, etc.) had to be specially requested. There was also a lack of outlets, especially in the bathroom, and those that were available were not secure -the plugs kept falling out. At least two rooms were hooked up entirely by either power strips or plug-ins to accommodate more than two plugs. This appeared to be unsafe.
On the beach location Units are clean and well equipped Nice setup with beach chairs above the beach 2-bedroom unit works well for a family with 2 kids
Small beach completely under water during high tide Units are small
Parking, rooms can be a little tired, no beach at high tide
Right on the ocean. Staff great. Good value for the price. Comfortable.
Decor a little tired.
Good location, clean, good value. If it's your first time to Cape Cod, I'd recommend driving up to Province Town at least for a day trip. We rented bikes at Gale Force Bikes and had a great time riding the trails through the sand dunes.
This is an excellent, ocean front motel! The rooms are more than adequately equipped for cooking and eating in if you wish to do so and the location is unbeatable. An added bonus is that the two separate bedrooms allow you close the door if you need a nap after a day at the beach. Would definitely stay again.
Loved the ocean view, beach access outside our door, full size kitchen appliances, roomy area with both kitchen table & futon couch. Overall great accommodations & location for a relaxing trip to the cape.
3 of the 5 lounge chairs outside our area looking out over the ocean were broken, beds a bit too soft.
The location of this motel is outstanding. It is right on the ocean. You will be serenaded by the sounds of the waves hitting the rocks. There is a tiny strip of beach during low tide right at the motel, but a decent public beach is a block away. We had Room 13 which is a 2 BR unit on the second level right next to the ocean. It was quaintly decorated in beach cottage style & has a kitchenette. It is small but suits the purpose.
The motel advertised free WiFi which only exists if you camp out next to the office. It's a tiny netgear router that sits in there. We had no WiFi in our room & actually had virtually no Verizon signal either. If being connected is important, you may be very frustrated here.
Private beach, kitchen, relaxing atmosphere.
Needs some upgrades
The room and bedrooms were fine, so was the price and the people that worked there.
Excellent in location. We were about 100 feet to the ocean.
One day no cleaning. Sliding door and screen not working good.
Great location, great staff
Our room had a bad odor, at first we thought it was because we were right on the ocean, but it was more than that. It smelled like a cat had been in there. We also found left over food behind the couch. We had to ask for a new shower curtain (moldy).
Great ocean view but when the tide came in there is no beach to sit on. The public beach is less than a minute walk however and it was perfect. Building looks old but rooms were cute and clean! It was perfect for me and my 9 year old son for a two night stay.
Wifi was fair.
