Excellent location, right on the water. We went at the start of the off season so it was quiet with very little traffic. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apt. that had plenty of room and all the conveniences of home. Heard nothing but the waves roll in.
My friend and I both have issues with steps, however we wanted a good view of the water and took a room on the 2nd floor. View was great but the steps were really too steep for us. You also needed to go down steep steps to get to the beach, which we didn't do.
Management was very accommodating .Being seniors we tend to sleep in late.We also arrived late at night and they arraigned to leave our room key for us.
We stayed3 nights and the weather did not cooperate.
I like sitting on the balcony and watching the ocean. I also like being able to take the family to a great restaurant in the area when we want to go out.
Not much, but some of the furnishings are showing their service age, for example, the bed has a squeak that needs to go away.
We loved the location, easy wi-fi, late check-out allowed, nice and clean, good beds, nice people!
Living room furniture was very uncomfortable. But this would be our ONLY complaint!
My daughters and I love everything about the Garlands. We stayed in Seaside, Unit 7, the same as last year. Loved it so much we came back for a long weekend this year. The location is great, right in the middle of everything. This year we took advantage of the Seaside Festival activities in Yarmouth, as well as doing typical touristy things. My daughters are adults so having this quality time with them was wonderful.
view cleanliness location clean towels constantly
couch very uncomfortable TV screen small
Loved the View of the Ocean.
Mattresses were old and uncomfortable. I suggest updating mattresses or at the very least, add mattress toppers.
Beautiful location right on the water, however, no real beach. Deck. Nice bedding and bed.
In need of repair/good cleaning - ceiling peeling, bathroom window stuck open an inch - would not close or open, bath towel holder fell off wall. Holes in wall of bedroom from something having fallen off. Broken chip crumbs on floor next to recliner. Run down.
Great ocean views, quiet
The motel is in great location, quiet and right next to the sea.Clean, comfortable accommodation, tastefully decorated.
Nobody at reception when we arrived within office hours - we had to phone then wait 20 minutes for someone to call back and tell us where our key was.No bath towels when we eventually got in and no one around to give us any until the next day.Rooms were VERY small. No laundry facilities and drying area was poor.(We used village laundry).
The location was perfect. The view from our room/balcony was magnificent. Great value. Very clean.
The location is amazing. Can't ask for more. Very good price for oceanfront. Unit A, very private and big.
Mattresses aren't great and things are dated.
Everything! The place was very clean and there was everything we could possibly need in the room! It was nicely furnished, and the chairs and size of the balcony they were on was impressive! This trip was Mom?Daughter time, but will be returning with the husband next year!
Just the fact that the office was only open til 2:00 PM, and when we arrived at 1:30 or so, there was another person there to check us in who was not the normal person. So we had to hang around the area to pay at 9:00 the next morning. Not a huge problem though! Still loved everything else!
SeaSide unit had a wonderful ocean front view and private balcony. Unit was dated, but very clean and stocked with anything one might need in the kitchen..
Kitchen oven very dated and had only 3 working burners. Sliding glass door very difficult to open and close as was the screen door. Needed replacing.
Wanted a place on the beach, and only could stay 1 night.....we got both....nice place for a relaxing, on the water place to lay your head at a reasonable price.
The accomodations were adequate, with no frills. Couldn't really walk much of the beach, as there are private residences on both sides. But all in all, a prime spot, and would go back....
The hotel was on the water, had a balcony, kitchenette and nice water view.
The hotel was Very dated. It didn't feel like a lot of care was taken to the maintenance of the hotel. Painted surfaces were very messy. The colors and feel of the room was extremely old. 1970s feel. A full ashtray was outside on the deck
Dirty ashtrays and used coffee left in coffee pot
My siters and I were just taking a few days away and found the Garland Motel online. It was a perfect place to stay. With two bedrooms, den area for sitting comfortable to watch TV plus a nice kitchen area. Everything was clean. The kitchen also has dishes to use. Was a great place.
There was not anything that I really did not like.
Location was much better than shown on their website
Location, quiet, value,
Musty smell, yet it is the shore--facilities basic, yet adequate.
The location on the beach and the view of Nantucket sound
Some minor repairs needed: sliding door screen got stuck, door to bedroom closet unhinged; hole punched in second bedroom door
Location, location, location! Right on the beach. All the comforts of home.
Had a few maintenance issues, it is old and needs some repairs, but nothing I couldn't live with.
It's not expensive and it had 2 rooms so traveling with our daughter wasn't an issue. It's right on the water which is nice.
It's a tiny place, old, not modern at all. It is a place you can go when you want to save money and have a place to sleep...
