The Garlands Motel  

Can't beat being right by the ocean, hearing the waves and getting the breeze or soaking up the sun on the lounge chairs on the deck! We loved the coziness of the apartment. We had a 2-bedroom unit, small, but fine. What I also liked was that it had a full kitchen (efficiency). I was also impressed by the responsiveness of the staff in getting back to me about questions immediately. Thank you! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back!

Some of the dishes and cooking utensils had to be cleaned thoroughly before we could use them. The oven pan needs to be scrubbed. The coffee pot was half full with coffee when we arrived. Everything else was fine.

I loved everything. Check-in was easy and the views of the ocean were beautiful.

The location was great. It had the needed amenities.

The rooms were very small. They need upgrading.

The front of the room is all windows and the bedrooms have glass doors, which face front door windows. Almost all of the blinds on the front doors and windows were missing, so we were exposed to the outside and rooms directly across from us. It was late when we returned to the room and the office was closed. No one was on-duty to switch our room or address the problem. The rooms do not look like the pictures. When there is high tide, there is not a beach.

It is directly on the beach , and is close to activities, shopping, dinning, and is reasonably priced .

Each of the units is independently owned so the condition of each unit may vary.. Some are better maintained than others, but the management does respond rapidly to issues and concerns.

all rooms have ocean view it was great to have rooms away from living space everything you need for long stay is supplied, kitchen area includes stove not just a microwave would be great space for a family

The room was small but delightful. I loved all the beach inspired decorations and colors. The view was lovely and we could hears the waves lapping on shore from our room. Very clean, quiet and relaxing weekend!

The Garlands was a great place to stay to relax. It is right on the ocean and quiet. The units are small but clean and have everything you need for a pleasant stay. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Cozy, clean and comfortable stay. I stayed in a second-floor unit, which had been recently updated. Nice furnishings, nice colors, new paint, and some really cute little details that show the owners really care about the place. I stayed in April and it was a bit cold outside, but there were heaters in each room and it was as toasty warm as I wanted it. I did not cook in the unit as often as I thought I would, but everything I needed was there when I did- pots & pans, coffee maker, toaster, fridge, stove & microwave, dishes & utensils. I had a great stay at the Garlands!! Very reasonable price for the amenities and the beach location.

Only thing I could have asked for was better weather on my final day there!

Price, location and very clean

I loved the location and the view from the room. The bedrooms are small, but comfortable. Not a luxury hotel by any means, but the unit was clean and very comfortable. We plan on staying there again in the near future. Very nice. Very Cape Cod.

We were perfectly comfortable, but the bedroom was small and only offered a full bed. We would have preferred a queen, but that wouldnot keep us from going back.

Location, Price, Room size.

Shower stall was full of mold. No ventilation or electrical outlet in bathroom.

Newly renovated, tiny but cozy rooms, wonderfully equipped kitchen, a view to die for, parking is easy, Peggy, the manager is friendly and efficient

The location was very good. We are 3 senior ladies, so we like the price also. They were very friendly and helpful.

I would have to say I was disappointed with the linen. My bed pillows had alot of stains. That made me wonder if the bed sheets were clean. They were flowered, which is kind of strange for a motel. There was rust in the shower and in the refrigerator. The stove top was dirty around the burners. Lucky were not cooking in doors. The microwave had a burnt popcorn smell.

Affordable seaside accommodations centrally located and convenient to all Cape Cod has to offer.

The Garlands Motel was exactly what we were looking for so there was nothing we did not like.

From the time we got there until we left 2 days later the staff was wonderful! The unit (while older) was immaculate and the beds very comfortable! The 2 bedroom unit is small so you wouldnt really want more than 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 small children. The kitchenette was well stocked and Everything was very clean!!!

the towels were a bit thread bare but still clean!

I could see the ocean from my bed out the front windows at dawn! Peggy made you feel important and welcome! And, the little window by the sliders that let in some air without being too breezy was great, too!

#1: The ridiculous front blinds that did not close me off from passers- # by. Some blades were missing all together and those there didn't # "open" and "close". Must be a better solution, but I can't offer # one right now. #2: Although the ceiling fans were a great idea, my being unable to crawl on a chair to turn them on posed a problem. Guess I needed one of those "reachy-up" doo-hickeys.

We stayed at the Seaside room # 2 and it was awesome! We loved the idea of having an apartment like set up with a full kitchen, separate bedroom and bath. The balcony overlooking the ocean was incredible! Since it was a week after Labor day, the prices were very affordable.

My only complaint would be our first morning I was awoken by the fire alarms being tested at 8am. I could hear them traveling througout the building then they finally knocked on our door with a very loud authoritive knock. I would have liked to have had the opportunity to sleep in since it was vacation. I understand the alarms need to be tested, just wished they didn't pick first thing in the morning.

Seaside Unit 8 is a bit outdated - should be painted and decorated to give it more of a seaside ambiance. The screen door to the deck was flimsy and should be replaced. The blinds and screens were filthy. The upper part of the shower stall was mildewed.

The hotel was in a fantastic location. You didn't need to leave your unit to enjoy the ocean which was right there. Very good value for the money.

The unit is very tight. The furniture in Unit 4 was too big for the space and felt very cramped at times which is why we spent most of the time outside. Also the kitchen was ill equipped. We only had one knife for 4 people and had to go out and buy plastic utensils. I would also have things like an ironing board, hair dryer, and safety deposit box in the units. These are standard hotel items that we did not see. Pool or a jungle gym in the middle of the courtyard would have been a great added feature.

We were at SEaside Apts --- very clean

Location was good, and price for being rite on the water was a great value.our room was clean and nice for the price, we would absolutely go back to the garlands

the steps getting down to the water i think is the only bad thing, but of course that is not a major problem
