Location. Free small bottled water.
For the price, very small room and no mini fridge. The lobby was under construction the entire 9 days of my stay.
Location restaurant and nice shop/cafe next to it new entrance being redone
Room is a bit small but manageable for one person Generator made some noise
Location and cleanliness
Wi-Finally didn't work the second day, no gym and rooms were a little small
location and price. excellent, but slightly expensive restaurant downstairs
small rooms, maybe add a few coat hangers at the very least. storage definitely a problem
location, free wifi, good view
The room and bathroom were impeccable, no dust, mold or mildew anywhere. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom had modern fixtures. The location is marvelous. I felt the building was secure and I slept very soundly.
This was the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Miniscule! Also, this was far from soundproof -- I could clearly hear other guests in the surrounding rooms as they talked, laughed and got ready for bed. Additionally, my view was of another hotel room right across the alley -- my window faced their window. Awkward.
The staff was friendly our room was clean.
We paid 300 a night for a hotel that was under construction, zero amenities and a room so small that I could stand in the center of it and almost touch each of the walls. It would have been nice to know about the construction and the size of the rooms. Feel like there was a lot of false advertising and no compensation for the construction. Will not stay there again even though it was only 100 yards from our son's apartment. We also had to brew our coffee on the floor since the table was too small to hold the beverage tray.
Handsome room Very kind staff Good location
Nice, modern room and bathroom, very enthusiastic and cooperative staff, and, for us, very good location.
Lobby under construction (mess), adjacent (independent) restaurant closed in the morning (we were told the breakfast is particularly good!)except on week end, then opens only at 10:30. No public place to sit down and talk, room is too small.
Location, Bedroom fa ileitis, friendly staff
Roof top terrace could be made into a more social space. It was bait tatty
Good location if you know NYC Small room but like in any NY hotel at that room price Free coffee and tea in the room Nice rooftop looking at Empire State Building Bar under construction
Was a bit noisy but it was Halloween...
Great location in Manhattan neighbourhood Chelsea. Great choice of restaurants just few minutes walk away. Perfect for whatever time...breakfast, lunch, dinner. The hotel personnel was really nice and our room was very clean and modern. Free wifi was amazingly helpful planning our days and checking updates about NYC - nice hotel terrace with view to Empire State Building. All interesting top sightseeing attractions are close by (easy to access by walk) and is perfect if you stay first time in New York.
During our stay the hotel lobby was renovated - we were lucky that there was no major work done so we were not impacted by any disturbing noise, but by a less warm entrance to the hotel. I think the constructions consider as well the gym. For those who travel with big luggage expect that you may struggle to place it somewhere in your room. I read other traveller resumes who shared the same experience and was prepared, but still it was a bit annoying. Thanks god we had only one big luggage for two of us. Expect as well that you may have not a real view, but a wall in front of the window. The terrace of the hotel is nice, but expect that it is noisy.
Great location with comfy bed and friendly and helpful staff.
Unfortunately there is building work taking place in the lobby. Although it did not disturb us it just looks a little unsightly.
The hotel was clean, and free of vermin. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
The room was so tiny that we felt completely on top of each other when we were in it. It was fine for sleeping, but I would not recommend this hotel if you plan to spend any amount of time in your room.
The room was great the staff was great the sleep was great .the hotel was great couldn't ask for more for the money value . Will def stay there again
Great location, only a short walk to 5th Avenue, walking distance to the Village and Meatpacking District. Clean rooms with comfortable bed. Very helpful and polite staff. Free Wifi.
Bedroom very small and no room to put your luggage. The room I stayed in was very dark which was great at night time but not during the day.
It is close to Red and Blue subway lines. Quite and comfortable. The renovation is almost finished, so I was not bothered by the construction noise.
Queen bed room is small indeed and lighting is poor, but it still works well if you need a place to sleep comfortably and take a shower. They don't have any meal options included, but there are many options within a 5 minutes walk.
Location perfect for me, staff friendly at my 11pm check in, even offered me a refrigerator when I asked. Brought ice to my room! Yes, room was small but just fine for my needs; design was smart, coffee maker mattered in the morning.
Look--I knew my room would be small. This is Manhattan: you cant expect rooms for less than $200 to house more than 2 people. Not a problem for me.
Size of room
Friendly staff, no-frills but everything I needed. Clean.
The hotel was in the process of renovating their main floor/lobby area so it was loud, inconvenient at times to walk through and not great to look at.
Though it was small, I found the room comfortable and suitable for my needs. The location is great--just one block away from the subway and there are lots of good restaurants nearby.
Good location Friendly staff
Tiny tiny room Old creaky and small bed Very noisey. Doors bang shut and single glazed windows meant I was constantly woken by road noise and car horns
the staff is very helpful and pleasant the area is nice and quiet
the room is very small!!!
The location was perfect, right in the heart of Chelsea with a two minute walk to the subway. Ten minute walk to the High Line, Meatpacking and Chelsea Market. The hotel had a cute rooftop, and we went up there with a bottle of wine in the evening. Perfect view of the Empire State Building. We first got a room on the second floor, but since this was our honeymoon we asked for a room a bit higher up, away from the traffic, and the staff accommodated us immediately with a room on the 5th floor. Clean room and comfortable bed, and a spacious bathroom. A lot of great breakfast places within 5-10mins.
Tiny room, only room for the bed. Not really about the hotel, but we ordered a car service from the hotel to Newark on our departure day, and we were told that the 85$ included tolls, tips and luggage. First of all the driver didn't know the way to the terminal, second of all he dropped us of at the wrong departure and third of all we had to pay 20$ in tolls. Again, not really about the hotel, but worth knowing.
The location was fine for our needs in a nice neighborhood. The staff welcomed us warmly. The room was small but very adequate for our needs.
The bed was awful. It slopped down in the middle and we were conscious of trying to sleep on each side to avoid bumping into one another. For this reason, we will probably not use this hotel again.
