Close to my venue

Miss informed of room and the monthly elevator check should not be done during regular business hours so that guest and especially first time guest like my self dont have to climb 4 flight of stairs with luggage and through out my stay !

Beds are very comfortable

In need of modernisation.

Didn't do complete room cleaning.

Hotel staff are really kind and helpful. They try to help on any questiuons we have.

Room's small

The hotel seems to have been recently remodeled. Everything was up to date and modern. The shower and bathroom counter tops were a rose colored granite. The shower even had 2 dispensers of shower gel and shampoo(I think). Room had a fridge and microwave... also a white bathrobe! The staff was friendly and professional. Location-- right near a Whole Foods store and many other sights. Second Ave. subway stop on the F line just across the street.

Room a a bit small but normal for Manhattan. We weren't in the room that much.

Housekeeping was uneven, room was not made up one day and coffee service only had a decaf option one day. Could use more room to hang clothes

Not the best location, but we knew that from the start and for the given price it's still a very good value.

The rooms were very clean.

The front door didn't work so we had to pry it open. The elevator didn't work so we were forced to travel up and down 5 flights of stairs with our luggage. Finally, one of our girls asked for a key to another room our friends were staying in and man at the front desk didn't even ask questions, just made her a key.

my credit card was scammed whilst in new york, the only place i used it was when paying for this hotel, 2 separate charges were made on the card, 1 for 800euro and another for 700euro, both these transactions were made in the states. since the only place i used my credit card in the states was when paying for this hotel and my credit card was with me at all times i can only assume that this hotel is were the fraud took place, although i have no proof.

Location was great for anyone wanting to visit all the tourist sights of New York. Just 5 mins walk from the fantastic shopping in SOHO (much better place to shop than 5th ave) We walked down to battery park to see the statue of Liberty and 9/11. Subway straight up to Grand Central Station only takes about 15 mins. Fantastic restaurants near by and the wholefoods store next door was brilliant for breakfast and other snacks. The staff were great and could not be more helpful. The night manager when we were there was brilliant, there was a mix up with our transport to the airport which he went out of his way to sort out for us. Would definately recommend.

The only downside is the size of the rooms, did get a bit cramped at times with 4 of us in the room. Having said that the rooms are immaculate and it would not put us of returning.

Acceptable price for new years eve. Location near to many small restaurants, and soho. Subway, which was just across the street.

Location was pretty much far away from any sightseeings, so to reach just about anything you had to take the sub. No on site restaurant and the nearby places does not seem to be very cheap Noise!!! i'm not complaining on the street noise which was OK, but coming from the inside of the hotel ( the door had a huge gaps, and the personal, it seemed was talking all night...)

I like bar soap, not just liquid soap. The doors slamming nin the hall were VERY load.

Very very comfy beds, staff leave you alone and give you space, a no fuss hotel. Rooms are small but who cares when you are only there to sleep. Soho location is amazing. My kind of hotel. Great for young professionals that want to hang out on the lower east side, and be close to good food and bars, right next to the bridge so you can pop to Brooklyn easily.

The hallway did smell a bit funny.

Beds were comfy, location was good for Soho and the subway into town.

Hotel was just the frontdesk and your room no other areas or services available, no knives, forks, plates, spoons etc. are available.

The staff is very nice and the hotel very clean and comfortable. The location perfect only 5 minutes walking from the subway to TIMES SQUARE and close to the soho shops.

Anthony, was really friendly, courteous and helpful. As were all the staff I saw. Location was fantastic, great for everywhere but especially for the villages between Midtown and Downtown. Room was fine, this hotel would be amazing if they refurbed in an original way. Wholefoods is just one minute away, so if you want to eat budget - perfect. Also loads of restaurants in the area, just minutes away. Felt safe. Room small but big enough. Clean, not noisy even though overlooking Houston. Just a fantastic location with independent cinema on same block too. You can really experience villagey NY from this hotel. Reasonable taxi ride from Penn.

It's not cheap and the prices fluctuate night by night, so just be careful about that. Also as first time visitor to NY, all the extra charges were a bit surprising, especially as a solo traveller. That said, was OK with it as I had confirmed before. I really liked it.
