Club Quarters in Washington DC is a new concept for the hotel industry. This private, full service hotel overlooks Farragut Square, and is 2 blocks north of the White House, and near Lafayette Square....
Score from 877 reviews Excellent
Located less than 1 mile from the White House, this Washington, D.C. hotel features a restaurant, outdoor pool and gym. Washington Plaza Hotel offers modern rooms with a flat-screen TV.

The hotel was well appointed with very comfortable beds. Price of the room for four nights was affordable. The location was wonderful.
Great location, very close to the subway. Big bed and good bathroom facilities. Staff were very helpful and personable. Lots of USB charging and power outlets in the room.
Staff were very friendly but there was a mistake made with the charging of the credit card, and they also charged a deposit to the card which they forgot to tell me about at check in, which just added a wee bit of stress.
Comfortable, accomdating friendly staff.
Restaurant food marginal.
Proximity to Kennedy Center and GWU.
Lack of lounge.
I travel with my son and my 75 yr old mother to DC this past Nov 14’. The location was outstanding, close to subway station and attractions. The staff was friendly and professional they went out of their way to be helpful and to provide excellent customer value. I will definitely come back and stay there. I am already promoting this hotel with friends and family.
I do not have anything to complain about the hotel. Oh, yes the restaurant next door did not have children menu. I would encourage the restaurant to expand their menu to include a children's menu.
The parking . My car was left outside and they charged me 40.00 a night
Hot water was a little slow in coming.
Location Cleanliness Prompt cleaning of room
No refrigerator in the kitchen.
Spacious and well decorated room. Hotel is no more than a block and a half from the Foggy Bottom Metro, convenient to the Kennedy Center and G.W. University.
Loved the location so close to Foggy Bottom metro station, Georgetown, an easy walk to the Mall. The hotel has all the charm of an older one with a gentleness about it that you cannot find in the large hotels.
Close by World bank
Not very clean on arrival. Dustbins were not emptied. But the staff was very nice helping.
A bit away from posh locations but 2 minutes away from the metro station and good shops where you can eat. Gim could be a bit bigger. Otherwise comfortable and not too oppressive like some other hotels in DC.
The bed was fantastic, the room large and very clean and the location of the hotel was good for any type of traveler.
For the money spent, the hotel lacked in the basic items that set hotels apart. In particular, I am always confused as to why hotels don't understand that a good room coffeemaker is perhaps the best investment. The "coffee" makers in the GWU Inn are perhaps the cheapest and most disappointing I have ever seen. Access to a good cup of coffee for traveling business people sounds minor, but does set the mood for the day. The room was large, but fairly empty of adequate seating to watch some Tv at night with the TV being so far from the bed, it could hardly be seen. It required moving furniture for me to watch TV. Given its proximity to the international center of DC, the State Department, there were no foreign language channels, none. Just the usual sports, sports, sports and local news. Not what an international business traveler would find helpful.
Spacious rooms, friendly staff and convenient location.
Good sized room and bathroom; free internet; friendly staff; small refrigerator and microwave in room; close to subway station and bus stops; walking distance to west end of mall; quiet location; windows actually opened...bonus!
Coffee maker was a hassle when making for more than one. Rude guests...slamming doors at all hours (seems to be true in any hotel we stay).
Upgraded to a one bedroom with kitchenette, and got early check-in.
Paid for late departure, then got booted from the room at 2 despite the caller finding my payment. They refunded, but while killing time in the lobby saw aother people arrive and check in without reservations, and overheard phone calls that suggested they did have rooms and I need not have exited mine early.
Excellent location within 1 block of the metro, hotel is tucked away as opposed to being directly on the main street so the rooms experience less noise (even though the block it's on is very quiet anyway), a walk away (or $5 Uber ride) from Georgetown, comfortable beds, spacious rooms and bathrooms, very clean, good shower pressure, excellent heater system, friendly staff, small patio with tables and chairs in front of entrance for guests to enjoy sitting outside if they wish
Very limited room service choices, complimentary WiFi only worked on the first day I was at the hotel, hotel is a bit on the expensive side for not having any added amenities. All of the basics were great quality at the GWU Inn, but the high price had me expecting a little more
Very friendly and welcoming staff who can't do enough to help. A nice, small hotel in a great area of Washington DC at a reasonable price.
Nice facility in good proximity to gw and close to Metro station
Evening front desk clerk needs training in customer service. Not helpful or caring when their system was unable to print boarding passes. Needs help in simple problem skills. Marriot directly across the street and we're more the happy to allow us to print boarding passes. Much more helpful and caring the this hotels desk clerk that evening. When we returned to our hotel never asked if our problem was solved. It was not his suggestion to go across to the marriot even tho it was the simplest and best solution. His attitude would not make me rebook on any future visits or suggestion it to my many friends who have children and grandchildren in the dc area.
efficient good value for money good location
Staff was extremely attentive and responsive. Very convenient to walk to GW U Hospital where my husband was having surgery. Food in restaurant was top-notch, pricey but gourmet. Breakfast was excellent.
More expensive than we are used to, parking was $40/night. But no more than comparable properties in the area.
The location, the spacious room, the helpful staff.
Excellent location close to Metro, walking distance to Dupont Circle, World Bank and IMF, variety of cafes, Whole Foods for supermarket and good take away food
Amazing reception service from Bryna, we even got into our room much earlier. Great gym facilities. Huge room & bathroom. Fridge & microwave very helpful. Close to Foggy Bottom metro. Whole foods just up the road
Maybe make signage clearer on street front
Stay here all the time when I visit my daughter at GW University. Convenient, clean, friendly hotel. Most rooms are suites and having a kitchenette and separate living room makes having my daughter stay with me easy.
The hotel is dated, small bathrooms and dark furniture, but it's clean and well maintained. What can be uncomfortable in the shoulder seasons is that the ac and heat only go on and off at specific dates - regardless of the outside temps.
