Excellent location close to Metro, walking distance to Dupont Circle, World Bank and IMF, variety of cafes, Whole Foods for supermarket and good take away food
Amazing reception service from Bryna, we even got into our room much earlier. Great gym facilities. Huge room & bathroom. Fridge & microwave very helpful. Close to Foggy Bottom metro. Whole foods just up the road
Maybe make signage clearer on street front
Stay here all the time when I visit my daughter at GW University. Convenient, clean, friendly hotel. Most rooms are suites and having a kitchenette and separate living room makes having my daughter stay with me easy.
The hotel is dated, small bathrooms and dark furniture, but it's clean and well maintained. What can be uncomfortable in the shoulder seasons is that the ac and heat only go on and off at specific dates - regardless of the outside temps.
The staff was the most unhelpful of the hundreds of hotels I have stayed in around the globe, and the dozen or so I have used in DC.
The staff was very fun and friendly. The setting in historic Foggy Bottom was outstanding. Everything was within walking distance and the Metro is only a block away. Great if you want to use Amtrak at Union Station. There is a particularly good Whole Foods store 2 blocks away with an extensive cafeteria and market.
although not included in the room rate, we opted for the breakfast at the hotel, and were very pleasantly surprised by the quality and value. all the staff were really pleasant and very helpful.
Good size rooms. Microwave and tea/coffee making facilities. Clean. Comfy bed. Plenty of hot water and towels.
Room decor very tired. Restaurant adequate and expensive
Location, view, kitchen facilities and exrtremely comfortable bed. Staff were outstanding - when I arrived, I gave my last name. Without looking it up, the front desk person knew my first name and said we've been expecting you. Iit gave me a real sense of welcome.
Clean, comfortable room. Excellent location. Friendly, efficient staff.
Heat was not turned on in building; room was uncomfortably cold. Furniture, decor and linens were dated and tired.
good location big room friendly staff
The large rooms are quiet and comfortable. We needed another table which was furnished to yes with no hassle. Only a block and a half from the Metro and about a mile from the Lincoln Memorial. Several restaurants nearby.
Breakfast in the dining room was o.k. but did not lead us to try other meals.
Located downtown very close to Metro, quiet area nice room at fair price.
everything was superb
Staff were helpful and friendly and it was within walking distance to the main monuments and nice restaurants.
The fridge was not cold enough and milk went off very quickly and soft drinks and beer weren't chilled.
Particularly welcoming reception by the young woman. After New York the room seemed palatial.
My memory may be wrong but they provided coffee but not tea.
The suite was ideal. The staff were brilliant. Location is within walking distance of Georgetown and downtown DC. Metro is just round the corner.
Great location, easy access to metro, very friendly reception and door staff.
Breakfast was slow, cold and no potatoes which wasn't explained till after the meal. We also noticed other visitors gave up after waiting to be served.
size of the rooms location
we had a plumbing problem in the middle of the night which was taken care of very poorly. No plunger in the whole hotel.....told to wait until morning. :-( After third call to front desk we moved all our stuff to new room....by ourselves.
close to subway station university area so some good restaurants around and the Whole Foods store was amazing Fridge, coffee maker and microwave were really useful Room was quite large and comfortable Housekeeping were attentive Able to walk to Georgetown Staff were friendly and helpful
The neighbourhood was very pretty, calm and quiet. The proximity of the metro station (Foggy Bottom, which is also the name of the quarter), the location, in a word, is excellent). The hotel is provided with all the amenities mentioned in its advert. The staff were particularly friendly.
The windows were literally dirty.
The staff was first rate. They made our stay so enjoyable. Very courteous and friendly. The hotel was very clean and inviting. The subway station is 3 blocks away, the location is quiet and everyone was friendly.
The hotel could use some upgrades. The microwave was a dinosaur, but it worked. There was a smell from the drains when we first turned on the water. The kitchens are not stocked well with dishes or utensils (2 of everything)
very expensive the parking
Location was excellent the staff were courteous, professional and friendly. Also the best breakfast in Washington. We would stay here again most definitely
I always stay here when I'm in town. The location is great and cost is very reasonable. The hotel isn't brand new, so it isn't perfect, but it is still very comfortable. And best of all, the staff is amazing. They are always more than accommodating.
It is an older hotel, so the facilities aren't as up to date as is the case in some of the newer hotels.
I liked that the building wasn't huge, I liked the quiet and the personal service. I liked the room even though the style is dated and the carpet is warn - the bed was superb, there's lots of space, and the room was sparkling clean. The shower head and water pressure were fantastic. I liked the location (walking distance to many sights), the neighborhood and the proximity to the metro. I liked that there was no charge for packages that were delivered before I arrived. The price through booking.com several months in advance was an excellent deal. I will definitely stay here again if and when I'm back in Washington DC and will recommend it to my friends.
