Location was great. Room was spacious and comfortable.
Service was only fair. I called the front desk and let it ring about 12 times, no one picked up. The swipe key repeatedly did not work, and the front desk was accusatory rather than helpful. My brother's room had virtually no heat, and the space heaters they brought did little to help.
Beautiful Inn and wonderful staff. The Daily Grill was very good!
Sheets could have been softer. They were a bit scratchy. Otherwise the bed was very comfortable.
Great location in Georgetown. Circulator bus stops right outside and were able to ride it to the Convention Centre for $1.00!
We have stayed here on many previous occasions and always been very happy. However, this time there were several problems with the room we were allocated, including a drawer falling onto my foot and only one bedside table. To be fair, the staff rectified both these problems very quickly but we then went into the bathroom to find the tap was faulty. We were offered another room which had recently been refurbished and was much more modern and although we prefer the traditional style rooms we accepted it as it had a much bigger bathroom. Unfortunately, the standard of the workmanship in the bathroom and bedroom was very poor, with cracked tiles and leads trailing down the walls. The final straw was finding the wardrobe was so shallow it could not accommodate a normal rail so had been fitted with two small hooks which at best could take 2 coat hangars each. For a 5 day stay at the rates charged this is totally unacceptable.
Helpful, smiling, professional front of house staff. Personable bartenders in the hotel bar AND an amazing Bloody Mary. Room was comfortable, spacious, with excellent beds. Understated elegance and wonderful location.
A city experience with a neighborhood base
Room smelled musty
Decent bed, decent size bedroom. Grill and bar nice and friendly
The bathroom was rather tired and old fashioned
Bath was dated. Carpet was dirty.
Great location and value
A little dated
Staff was friendly Location
Rooms are tired, dark and old looking, have stayed there on wedding night in 1978, again in 1995 and most recently in 2014.....Needs serious decorating help.
Wonderful experience. So conveniently located to everything! We didn't use our car once because we were able to walk everywhere! Staff was nice and helpful. Very clean and beautiful inside!
Overnight parking for the hotel was $35 per car. Parking is not included in your booking fee! However, parking per day down the street is pretty expensive so the rate the hotel offers isn't a bad deal. Just realize you will be paying more than booking.com states!
Parking garage was very convenient and not very expensive.
The food and drinks at the restaurant were not worth the price especially given the many options in the area.
What I liked most about geoergtown, was the hosiptiality they showed us, there were very sweet.and the whole place was beautiful
The location of the hotel is amazing. It's in the middle of geirgetown and everything is nearby.
Location is perfect for Georgetown University visits
Parking always a challenge but the staff always works hard to please.
location!!! at its best
Aircon did not work and they did not want to repair - we had do move to another room
The hotel is very expensive! The parking lot is $ 42 per day!
Nice hotel in a great neighborhood. Good housekeeping crew kept us in fresh towels in a neat room. Mass transit (Circulator) stop outside the front door.
Room was small but adequate. Built on european scale.
someplace to sit outside
Comfort and location
prices of food in the Daily Grill and room service
Liked the location of the hotel as was close to restaurants, Georgetown Zuni was just a short walk away as was the river harbor. The big bus co. hop on hop off stop was right out the front door, bed was huge and very comfortable, wifi was good, staff friendly and helpful
Being very critical here but the bar lacked atmosphere and the fabric on the room lounge chair was fraying.
Location is really wonderful. Walking distance to restaurants (which are good, check out Georgetown Cupcakes for dessert), great brand stores (even TJ Maxx), Bus stop is right in front of the hotel that stops at Foggy Bottom, Union Station or Friendship Heights. Front desks staff are super friendly and always have a smile on their faces.
On my last day of stay, I couldn't find a pair of TEVA flip flops that I just used the day before. Bathrooms are a bit outdated and somewhat moldy although they try to clean it but they can just change the caulking where most of the molds are and it could have been alright. Price is a bit steep for the daily stay but considering that this is "Georgetown", it's something you just have to expect.
location was great and hotel value was fine, I wish they woul dreally update this hotel though, the bathrooms especially were quite old.
Rooms were really outdated and bathrooms especially need to be renovated. parking was quite high for overnight at 35 dollars.
I loved the area, the proximity to a variety of bars and stores.
The toilet took for ever to flush.
