What I liked most about geoergtown, was the hosiptiality they showed us, there were very sweet.and the whole place was beautiful
The location of the hotel is amazing. It's in the middle of geirgetown and everything is nearby.
Location is perfect for Georgetown University visits
Parking always a challenge but the staff always works hard to please.
The hotel is very expensive! The parking lot is $ 42 per day!
Nice hotel in a great neighborhood. Good housekeeping crew kept us in fresh towels in a neat room. Mass transit (Circulator) stop outside the front door.
Room was small but adequate. Built on european scale.
someplace to sit outside
Comfort and location
prices of food in the Daily Grill and room service
Liked the location of the hotel as was close to restaurants, Georgetown Zuni was just a short walk away as was the river harbor. The big bus co. hop on hop off stop was right out the front door, bed was huge and very comfortable, wifi was good, staff friendly and helpful
Being very critical here but the bar lacked atmosphere and the fabric on the room lounge chair was fraying.
Location is really wonderful. Walking distance to restaurants (which are good, check out Georgetown Cupcakes for dessert), great brand stores (even TJ Maxx), Bus stop is right in front of the hotel that stops at Foggy Bottom, Union Station or Friendship Heights. Front desks staff are super friendly and always have a smile on their faces.
On my last day of stay, I couldn't find a pair of TEVA flip flops that I just used the day before. Bathrooms are a bit outdated and somewhat moldy although they try to clean it but they can just change the caulking where most of the molds are and it could have been alright. Price is a bit steep for the daily stay but considering that this is "Georgetown", it's something you just have to expect.
location was great and hotel value was fine, I wish they woul dreally update this hotel though, the bathrooms especially were quite old.
Rooms were really outdated and bathrooms especially need to be renovated. parking was quite high for overnight at 35 dollars.
I loved the area, the proximity to a variety of bars and stores.
The toilet took for ever to flush.
The location was very good. The staff was very helpful & very nice. I read some of the comments before leaving. I was pleased that most were not accurate. Yes the carpet & furniture could be updated, but not terrible. One of my friends had fallen asleep on the couch & slept on it the next night by choice. We could not hear any other guests at all. We were on the 6th floor with the fitness center. I did look at the fitness equipment & it seemed nice. Yes the room was small & not much in there. Your in the heart of Georgetown, you are meant to be walking outside anyway. I loved the charms of it being an older building. It was clean. Didn't eat at the restaurant, I did see the prices. Wish they were lower, but honestly was along the same prices of everything else in the area.
If visiting Georgetown University, the location of this hotel is excellent. It's a short walk to campus and is at the epicenter of this charming town's many offerings -- shops and restaurants. The staff was extremely friendly and the food at the restaurant was good.
While my double room was quiet, clean and comfortable, the furnishings and bathroom were worn and in desperate need of an upgrade. There were no visible outlets, and extension cords were strung about for the lamps and coffee maker making it challenging, and a bit worrisome, to recharge any electronic devices.
The plugs where too old, barely working.
location was great, close to places to eat. It's a shopping district primarily, not much else to do there but shop, but it's walking distance from the capitol mall. Doormen were super friendly and helpful. Concierge was fine, neither good nor bad.
room was quite comfortable but small, in particular the bathroom. but it's a fine hotel, I'd stay there again if needed.
Perfect location and friendly staff.
Bathrooms are really small.
Great location in the heart of Georgetown. Easy walk to Georgetown University.
Rooms are incredibly old / dirty. This was once a fine hotel - it is now a run down hotel with a great location.
FRIENDLY, PROFESSIONAL STAFF GOOD FOOD SUPER LOCATION
BATHROOM (415) A BIT OLD- FASHIONED. COULD DO WITH A TOTAL MODERNIZATION. TOILET VERY LOW!!
Really nice hotel!!! recommended
Location, staff, beds were very comfortable. Drapes kept out the early light. The breakfast, although pricey, was excellent and the waiter was terrific.
Our room 615 was tired and dated. The walls need work. The toilet was low and inefficient. It's a water guzzler and if you are trully looking to conserve water use (like towels and sheets), replace that toilet. If you did not hold down the lever it did not flush. Each use took 2 flushes at least. The vanity is chipped badly at the base. The bathroom is under 7 feet tall and the mirror is hung low... In fact , all the pictures throughout are hung low. The heating unit did not work properly. It was either too hot or we had to turn it off. The fitness room is a joke, and I'm sure you know that. The treadmill was loud and clunky, the bike skipped a beat. The room is tiny and thankfully we were not close by to hear that loud treadmill. The workmen were making quite a commotion as well, but we were awake by 8am so it was not a problem. Overall, the owners of this property have "milked this cow dry" and the faux historic features are transparent. Last time we stayed at aka White House... Now that's a beautiful place. Honestly, our daughter lives less than a mile away so we tried the Georgetown Inn. Hope you don't think I'm a cranky customer... I never complained, but you asked.
Clean, centrally located, comfortable, water and Kureg in room, breakfast was excellent $13. - $15. It looks like they are cleaning and fixing up. I would recommend this hotel.
Very nice hotel and friendly staff
Bee was kind of stiff
Front desc person
