Overlooking the Niagara River, this historic inn is just a 5-minute walk from the American Falls. Facilities include an on-site restaurant and uniquely decorated rooms with free Wi-Fi.
Score from 235 reviews Excellent
The Comfort Inn The Pointe is located at the entrance of Niagara Falls State Park and so close to Niagara Falls you can feel the mist.
Score from 245 reviews Very good
Nice rooms, quiet and clean.
Location is just across the park entrance. Instead of having 2 room, we got the suite apartment which was very large with Pool table and Jacuzzi in the bathroom
Having only 1 bath in the Suite apartment.
Rooms . Drain pi
Location was good for visit to the Falls. Decor in the room was very nice.
For the price and based on the description of the hotel and room, we were very disappointed with the very small size of the room, and the "view" of another hotel apprxoimately 10 feet from our window! The so-called sky-view room available to guests had no real view of the Falls.
We have a fabulous stay at The Giacomo! Our room was beautiful, the front desk staff was so helpful, breakfast was wonderful-- all around excellent! It was so close to the state park, which was a huge benefit. Beautiful place!
We liked the room and it was pretty comfortable. Some of the fixtures and rug were not installed very well. The wall to wall carpet had ripples and some bath fixture were not great working order.
The Breakfast was very bad. The food was "Comfort Inn" quality and the dish person was smashing dishes together the whole time. It was not very pleasant or comfortable. For $300 per night I would think an "in room" service would be much better.
Enjoyed the great location to N. falls and corner room location was awesome. Bathroom well done, decor creative Got an awesome room rate thru booking.com. Staff at desk remarked how great the deal was for the king corner room we obtained.
No pull over area for valet parking & no attendant outside. Inside guest staff seemed understaffed but willing to help when available but single person was multi tasking, answering phone and 3 people waiting at desk for help.
Location, room size and decor.
Noisy air con. Room not serviced until 6pm
Very clean. Staff great. Location good. Breakfast was very good.
Not a lot of table top space. Only 2 small drawers in a combination desk/bureau.
Great location for walking to the Falls, shops and casino. Great breakfast.
Curbside luggage assistance would have been nice.
Well managed property all around. Historic building with a modern interior. Helpful staff.
The ceilings aren't "finished". Minor detail. They are painted.
Loved the spa feel and everything was motion censored. The breakfast was good too.
This is a lovely hotel with luxuary comfort and friendly staff. The breakfast is also very good. The beds are the best we ever have slept in!
Everything especially Mojito Monday!!
The fact the we couldn't stay longet
Great location, walk to the Falls. Desk staff fabulous, parked our car, suggested (late evening) evening places and were quite simply pleasant. Breakfast was included and was very good ... the clean-up area in the Breakfast area was right next to the eating area and the kitchen guy crashed EVERY utensil for the ENTIRE duration of our breakfast .... suggest you sit by the window (as we did the next day).
Niagara Falls (the town) is a bit past its use-by date. Go for the Falls .... not the town!
Clean bright, comfortable bed, good breakfast, we enjoyed the whole atmosphere and the staff were very accommodating as well as informative regarding the area.
Could not adjust the alarm clock to the right time, just could figure it out. The air conditioner in the room was a bit noisy, I got up in the middle of the night thinking there was running water somewhere.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The room was extremely comfortable (the bathroom is almost as big as the room!). There is a very nice lounge on one of the top floors where you can take your drink to watch the sunset and falls in the background.
Staff was very nice and helpful. They made us feel welcomed.
complimentary breakfast was out of this world! Easy walking distance to Falls and to Canadian side of falls. Great culinary school within block of hotel and culinary restaurant, deli, bakery.
always had to use valet service to get car or park it. Not easily accessible, but very safe in secured parking area
They have put a lot if effort into making this refurbished office building into an interesting comfortable hotel. Staff was very helpful and accommodating.
A/C was a bit noisy and didn't get into the bathroom.
I did not like the dark room and the ceiling need a patch job and sanded and painted
If you are staying on the American side of Niagara Falls, then THIS hotel is ideal. It is one very short block away from the falls--and all the natural daytime attractions that go along with it (parks, tours, observation points)--and is only two short blocks away from the Canada-America bridge, which can be conveniently crossed by foot. In addition to location, this hotel has an indulgent and luxurious decor throughout the entire building--no detail was ignored. I especially loved the lower level bar, which is a romantic, lush and intimate gathering spot, and the upper level viewing room, which is wall to wall windows and has the tallest vantage point of the falls that the American side has to offer. Finally, the hotel staff was exemplary--a quality that is becoming sadly rare--and were ever friendly, accommodating and knowledgable. The Giacomo is definitely worth the price.
There are not many upscale restaurants on the American side of the falls, unless you go to the Casino (which offers literally NO VIEW of the falls...at all), so you have to go to the Canadian side if you want to have a special dining experience with a water view. There also isn't much nightlife on the American side--which suited my husband and I just fine because we wanted a quiet romantic weekend--but the slower pace of the American side after dark might not appeal to everyone. **Side Note: watch out for bridge tolls as you cross from Canada back INTO America. A bit pricey for cars; I am not sure if walkers are subject to the same fee.
The room rate is very high
The hotel it's near to falls
Small room and no tazeya
Bathroom was spacious, and whirlpool tub was great.
Sound from in-room air conditioner was a bit loud.
