Location, location, location. Big room in NYC and a nice view (23rd fl)
Heating/cooling system very noisy. TV remote didn't work.
Just about everything
Wifi was poor
I was traveling alone and got upgraded a couple floors and it was really just magical
I love that it is a small hotel and the bed was just OUTSTANDING so comfortable, my daughter loved the shower as I did as well! Staff excellent we will be back!!! as my sister said it is a keeper for our stays in NYC and we are in ofter!
The size of the room and general position in the city.
Water took a long time to heat up and wi-fi signal in bedroom was extremely patchy. Construction noise could be heard throughout the night so be sure to ask for room at the back of the building.
Slow wireless network Overpriced for size of room
Just a few blocks away from Broadway & Times Square. Perfect away distance. Room was larger than most on the strip.
Quiet and calm little hotel but conveniently located for everything you need in midtown Manhattan. Rooms are reasonable size, simple and tastefully decorated. Very soft and comfortable bed. staff very helpful.
Water pressure weak, rooms facing back side can be dark on the lower floors. If facing street side, can be noisy, but that's typical of the city itself. some wear and tear is starting to show. AC system is very noisy.
The location was good. Right between 5th Ave & Madison. 46th Street feels a little off the beaten path, but it’s really just steps to the centre of action. The bed is extremely comfortable, and the room is a good size for downtown Manhattan. Clean, modern. Loved the big balcony and the windows that opened.
This hotel is pretty tiny - only three rooms on each floor. We had a front-facing room, which was great, but not sure that the back-facing rooms are all that great. Also, the front desk: some of the staff is very professional, but some are downright useless. One of the young ladies at the front desk steered us wrong several times (from restaurant recommendations to time required to get to the airport); and she seemed to argue with us every time we needed something, very annoying. The rest of the staff was cool, helpful.
the bed was so comfortable, the best we have ever slept in. The location was great.
We found it very expensive, which we don't mind paying but when there's not even a kettle to make yourself a cup of tea or a clock. That's a bit rich. Some of the staff in the restaurant appeared to not want to be there as well. Quite rude and unattentive.
Incredible design. Narrow hotel, with lots of space. Suites are laid out very nice. Great views. 2 blocks from Time Square. I think there are 67 rooms. We had one Premium Suite and one regular room. Both were great. Only difference is Premium had front balcony, other room had rear balcony. Nice thing was that even the regular room also had a shared front facing patio balcony. Only share with three rooms. Each floor of the approx 20 some odd floors has only 2, 3, or 4 rooms I believe. Never a wait in the elevator. It is so close and convenient. We loved all the windows in our suite and could see Times Square. Absolutely worth the half price we got on booking.com of only about $250/night. Normal price about $450 which still isn't bad for nyc
Almost comical, but the only negative was that the wooden bed frame juts out a lot at the corners. We whopped our shins numerous times. We were leaving on a cruise the next day and had about 3 bruises each the entire cruise. We finally blocked the corners with pillows, but by then it was too late. Kind of a minor issue. More of a warning to you than a real complaint. Excellent overall stay!!!
Had to pay for upgrade when the hotel was not at full capacity.
The bellman was an absolute God-send. He truly went above and beyond when we needed to exit the city quickly.
Great city view Nice bathroom Good room size and modern decor Great jazz band playing in lobby bar/restaurant
I had to get up early so it didn't bother me, but if you plan on sleeping in, you might want a room in the back of the hotel as the balcony room I had was bright and sunny early.
On the first occasion, loved being upgraded to the penthouse with its balconies on either side of the hotel. Loved the three main meals we had and the bar service and the delightful jazz evening. Excellent location in a "quiet" midtown block.
Despite the excellent meals we had, breakfast is a pathetic offering with very limited hot and cold choices and it fell well below expectations for this price range. Usually staffed by one waiter with very poor English which resulted in long waits and incorrect orders.
Room/bathroom size was huge.bed was very comfy. Location excellent, not too close to Times Square , so 'quieter'. A good area, felt safe when out at night .Helpful staff, always pleasant .
Having travelled extensively in USA , many motels have coffee making facilities in the room, which we prefer. We found very few hotels offered this in NYC, but Gregory's next door was a great coffee shop. The a/c was a little noisy, but we did turn it off during the night.
Location was good, a very comfortable bed, great pillows, good shower and bathroom facilities and an excellent balcony.
The decor was looking tired, I hated the net curtains which were dirty, grubby and in need of replacing. The paintwork was in need of a refresh and could we not have had more lighting both beside the sofa and outside?
Being upgraded to the penthouse on the first visit. The many rooms with balconies. Excellent chef.. Jazz night on Wednesdays
Complete absence of hanging hooks in the bathroom. Unimpressive bar/dining space. Late start to room service- not before 7.30 a.m.
Almost everything very good.
Very slow wifi internet Rather poor breakfast
The room was a great size and the bathroom was clean and spacious.
The dresser had a marble top with major amounts of glass stains. There was no iron or ironing board in the room or on site. There homepage says they have a spa but they really out source and its not guaranteed. Also there wasn't enough washclothes and towels.
The location and the comfort of the room.
The noise when you get a room on the back because of the air conditioned..
Location. Outdoor balcony. Style of room. Staff.
Bedding? Although the bed was comfy, the sheets pull up easily and don't stay crisp.
It was rarely available after hours
Very good rooms Staf very good
A pool or a rooftop bar would be perfect
Noisy, broken AC
