Like being at home. Not like a hotel
No bath in deluxe room.
We stayed for our wedding celebration and were treated like royalty by everyone on staff. It was wonderful! Thank you!!
Most comfortable bed ever slept in. Great shower. Loved swimming pool. Complimentary snacks and soft drinks in room.
Fabulous area in itself but a long way from Central ny if walking
The attached restaurant is excellent. I wanted to eat there for every meal! The warm elegance of the lobby, bar, and dining area! The underground pool and spa! The in-room snacks! The window view of the inner courtyard full of foliage, birds, and the 100 foot painting of James Dean! The paintings on the luxurious lounge walls. The helpful doormen. The efficient room service. The general feeling of peacefulness and elegance!
The staff was amazing. Great service from beginning to end. Room was big and really nice. Loved everything about my visit.
Very attentive and discreet staff who were very accommodating in meeting any request. Environment was extremely comfortable.
Given the nature of their guests, paparazzi were often waiting at the front entrance.
Beautiful room, amazing shower and bathroom. Very quiet! Lovely concierge and doormen. Delicious scones when they have them!
They didn't have any scones this time!
If you want to settle in Downtown, Tribeca (which was perfect for us) this is the place to be. Walkable distance to 9/11 memorial, Chinatown, Little Italy-great for shopping and restaurants. Greenwich village and East Village, Nolita eather walk a little longer or short drive with a cab. Hotel itself : just beautiful. Actually it is a new building which looks as old as the buildings around but with all the convenience a new building can provide. Beautiful intérieur , very tasteful, lot of art. Could sit in the lobby/ drawing room for hours. Fantastic courtyard. Rooms spacious (we had a courtyard room) and beautifully decorated (so the bathroom!). Premium organic cosmetic comes in big sizes! very well stocked Mini Bar and big basket of snacks (everything is complimentary excluding alcoholic beverages) Lovely housekeeping. The Spa is just fantastic. We have been to the restaurant Locanda Verde once which I can recommend for food and atmosphere. They also do the breakfast. One of the best hotels we´ve ever been.
Though the breakfast was very tasteful and I would recommend it we found it a little bit too expensive for what you get. Just step out of the hotel and you´ll find a plenty of options for coffee and breakfast. Bar service needs to be slightly improved to reach the otherwise high standard of the hotel.
Brand New Building Looking like 100 years old. Cozy cozy place. Awesome food from the restaurant Laconda Verde. Amazing shower. Free wifi.
More on the expensive side.
service was fantastic
AMAZING! The heated indoor pool was a lovely treat in NY and the snacks in the room being included a nice treat. The kind of hotel that makes you feel like a film star!
The room keys had serious issues - we had to have an engineer out 3 times due to the radio signal not working.
The room, the bathroom, the staff, the food at Locanda Verde, the massage therapist, Mary and the restaurant manager, Tom- all first class and lovely!
The bathroom was freezing The remote on the TV did not work The restaurant was a bit noisy
great room, very friendly and helpful staff
The spa facility is exceptional - esp if you are into Japanese culture
Everything... Amazing rooms, staff - and a wonderfull drawing room, like a second living room for the guests. It's a kind of "homey luxury" we never experienced anywhere else. The service was great, and TriBeCa is a charming neighbourhood with lots of good restaurants. We can't wait to get back to The Greenwich!
Lovely, cosy room. Beautifully decorated. Fantastic location for getting to the shopping district, meatpacking and chelsea. Great pool. The best pastries I've had outside france! And if you catch a chill, they make a mean hot toddy. Wonderful, helpful door-staff.
Air conditioning/heating. Radiators would be quieter and gentler in the smaller rooms on a cold night.
Amazing hotel - location, decor, staff - and the drawing room cocktails and restaurant were fabulous.
Honestly? Absolutely nothing.
The closest hotel I have found is the Milestone in London. It has perfect, large rooms for NYC, free snacks and soft drinks, a wonderful spa, and enough quirks and charms to make it I suspect the best hotel experience in NYC. You can pay up for a fancy, big lobby but I think this is actually the best hotel experience.
- The design of the room was beautiful and comfortable - Complimentary snacks and mini bar - Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the service was immaculate - Nice area with lots of cafes and restaurants - Room was spacious
- No Coffee and Tea facilities provided in the room. - Value for money is questionable, however i am glad that i spent this money for a special occasion.
Greenwich Hotel is so special I don't want To share to much other than to say. Home away from home in the greatest city in the world.
service fantastic location rooms beautiful snacks included
The Greenwich was a beautiful boutique hotel with fantastic personal service
The pillows were uncomfortable, but that is the ONLY negative I can find!
OM-Gosh! What a hotel.... Firstly the staff are A-mazing and secondly the hotel is just marvellous. This hotel is more like a private members club than a hotel, its chic, suave and sophisticated but by no means 'showey' like most high-end expensive hotels. The attention to detail on furnishings in the drawing room and bedrooms is just exqusite. Dining in the courtyard-just delightful not to mention the food from nextdoor Locana Verde.... Soft-Drinks and Treats in the room are all gratis which was a nice touch. Maid service to my room was superb, bed was always made, bedsheets and towels changed, bath products were delightful. Spa is small and personal, generally felt like i had the whole place to myself. De Niro and his clan have so got this sooo right. Note that this hotel is not for people who love plush, ostentatious surroundings even though the price is indicative of that, it truely is for a unique clientelle.
My room was on the 2nd floor and facing the courtyard (which is nice) but just felt it was a little dark during the day. My room didnt have a bath which would have been an added bonus considering what you pay.
Lovely pool, helpful staff, free snacks and soft drinks in the room, hotel car, lovely doormen
breakfast wasn't such good value for money.
