Homey breakfast; friendly folks
Breakfast was always a treat.
Nice rooms, beautifully decorated. Spotlessly clean. Tasty homemade breakfast. Very helpful and accommodating owner.
Super friendly and present owners. Great location with a history. Each room looks different (and are much better than on the pictures). It was cold outside with 3inch of snow, all rooms are heated individualy and it was perfectly warm.
The hostess went out of her way to make the stay personable, including writing a handwritten welcome note to each guest. The place is charming and cozy. The breakfast was delicious.
The electricity was a little weak in our room and we couldn't plug in everything we wanted at the same time without the heat kicking off, but once that happened we contacted Heather and she got us a space heater which mostly solved the problem.
David and Heather are both gracious and professional. Their hospitality is genuine and the breakfast was great!! We will stay there again!
My stay was too short.
The atmosphere, the staff, the location in great if you are heading south from Moab. The vintage style bedrooms are just perfect.
I was charged twice, the first time when I booked the room, and then during the staying. I only noticed that after leaving, and I needed to call them back... Everything was sorted out, but i didn't heard any apologise from the staff.
Authentic and historical items throughout the inn. Warm and friendly innkeepers. Conveniently located to National Parks and Sites. Cozy and comfortable.
Climbing stairs at 7,000 ft.! It's good exercise, though.
This B&B was a great place to visit, the history, and interior layout was exceptional. I plan on visiting this area of the country in the next year or so & will definitely book another stay here.
The owner was warm & welcoming & prepared a wonderful breakfast for us. We had a lovely room & were very comfortable.
Heather is a wonderful hostess. The rooms are large and comfortable and breakfast is great. Gristmill is a great place to call home for exploring Arches NP, Canyon lands NP, Mesa Verde NP, Natural Bridges, Monument Valley and other wonderful areas of Southeastern Utah.
Rustic charm Friendliness of staff
Could use some new carpet
Wonderful, historic building, quiet location, host was very cordial and helpful.
Some dust and cobwebs in room, but not enough to complain about.
Very nice place to stay. Breakfast very good Staff very nice and friendley
Lovely building, friendly owners, great breakfast
The only thing was that there wasn't much option for places to eat in the town.
Heather and David are warm and attentive hosts. We requested recipes Heather uses because her cooking is exceptional. We wished our wash cloths had been changed daily and some attention to our room. We had five delightful nights and this attention would have made it even better.
Charming atmosphere; wonderful breakfast, friendly host. Very comfortable.
The breakfast was excellent and to meet other travelers in the same room and talking to them was interesting experience.
Heather, the owner, was incredibly gracious and accommodating. She treated us like we were family rather than guests staying at her bed and breakfast. The Grist Mill is a charming cozy unique place to stay. We felt lucky to have found this historic lovely place!
Breakfast was very good!
There no water glasses in the room.
At first, when we pulled up, our thoughts were "oh my, what have we gotten ourselves into?". From the outside it looks old and run down, but as soon as you walk inside, it's a totally different experience. We loved the rustic decor of the facility. The management is very casual, friendly, and will do anything to provide a wonderful experience. The rooms are clean, with older, rustic style furniture and private bathrooms (loved the claw foot bathtub). Breakfast was wonderful in the comfortable dining area, as the staff cheerfully met the needs of all in attendance. Prices were reasonable. Will definitely stay again if in the area.
Very quaint and relaxing atomosphere. Perfect location for traveling from Monument Vallet to Arches National Park.
The town of Monticello does not have a good place for dinner.
very friendly staff, cozy/old fashioned accommodation, something different from motel-style!
superb breakfast but served only until 8.30am: we are on holiday... the shower nearly in the room with the moquette carpet is anti-hygienical
Very Nice bed and breakfast. Excellent Breakfast. Very Quiet. Large Room. Family room was great and kids were happy to have their own room. If you get there early enough all the doors to the rooms will be open so you can peak in them.
