Vue 1913 was not worth the money. Quality of food was overpriced. Edison' was excellent!
Location and dining facilities. The art gallery was very spectacular
We happened to hit on a day when the rain decided to come down heavily. However it did not really cause any problem.
Very pricey for the room size and quality of the rooms. Food was great but again very expensive. $120 for 2 salads and 2 glasses of wine is a little much for lunch. Charging $22 per day to park plus a tip going and coming every time we went somewhere became annoying.
Do not plan a return trip. After spending $2,000 for 2 days there are many better resorts for the money. I suppose if you just love the mountains it is o.k.
Spa was amazing!
Ice was 2 floors up and a very long walk. Elevators too small and closest elevator not available to use. Had to walk VERY far to get to spa which would have been avoided if elevator was available from lobby.
So much to do....peaceful....everything!
What's not to like? Three wonderful restaurants on site, well appointed rooms very courteous staff exceptional valet parking most friendly and professional in all aspects.
That I was unable to afford to stay in the club room for more than one day. I would love to come back and spend a week there.
View and grounds, spa
The lobby, the attentive staff, the restaurants are all top of the line.
- Great setting - love the great fireplaces and views - Spa amazing - New Eating options
bed felt small ran out of toilet paper
It was a beautiful building. All the staff were very friendly. Waiters were just great.
There were mechanical noises in our room every night. Room 376
The spa the old elevator the clock furniture of course the food and a wonderful staff
When it was time to come home
location and amenities
check-in..they my reservation was for Friday, Oct. 10; they had it down for Tuesday, Oct 14???? much confusion to start off my birthday weekend
The personalized service we found from Linda and Peter on the elevators. Linda welcomed us from the very first! Then in the Vue the sommelier and the new beverage director each gave personal time and attention. I came back to figure out what was the difference, that is it. The Vue food was superb too.
The only issue for more regular trips is the cost per night and the pricing in the spa. Just cannot come too often!
The room was lovely and comfortable.
It was difficult to get in and out of the bathtub.
location and facilities
our stay was too short
The Spa! Our club level room!
People walking through spa in street clothes.
Beautiful, old inn with a breathtaking view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Loved the ambience of the great hall with its massive fireplaces and piano bar. Amazing staff!
Difficulty with self parking. My husband and I each have six years of college and not once were we able to get past the parking gate without assistance!
The location, comfort and service.
The food wasn't that good and very pricey.
Mountain view. Excellent service.
The location is excellent with a beautiful view of the mountains from our room which was quite comfortable. Everyone was very friendly.
Just the one restaurant was a disappointment.
Our room in the old building was quite nice with a view of Asheville. We spent one whole day in the spa which was very relaxing. Meals were good. Atmosphere was great. We will be going back again
The meals were good but kind of pricey.
The uniqueness of the property.
The amount of walking. The cost of meals. The cost of mixed drinks that were not very good.
From the moment we drove up absolutely nobody to step out and assist us. The initial impression was very poor which is the most important impression you get. The same when we left we called valet for a car not one person to assist us very poor!
