Air conditioning goes off at night and makes room uncomfortably hot
the rooms were very comfortable .
the fitness center was sparse
In past stays valet parking was easily secured but with your construction we went around 3 times and found no place to leave our car. So, I parked in South street city parking where it was free after 5 pm and inexpensive from morning hours on. When I returned to the hotel female staff there said I couldn't park there because it was owned by South Street Hotel not knowing that those are 2 separate lots. Therefore, I had to walk all the ways back in the rain to inquire and was told that Hanover Inn Staff didn't know what they were talking about. In the end the Hanover city parking cost us $2 but I never want to talk to your evening staff again who instead of researching the matter for us simply frightened us.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Accommodations were pleasant and comfortable. Room service was quick. Car was brought quickly.
Would have liked grab bar in shower
Wonderful hotel. Beautiful and Tastefully redone several years Ago.Rooms are well appointed and nicely done. Exceptional Restaurant.
Anne was my first contact at the front desk. She explained that' out room was not ready at 3 when we arrived but compted us with a snack which was nice. We we're suppose to get a call when the room was ready but didn't probably since she was going off shift . Them a gentleman apologized and gave us 2 breakfast vouchers which we said wasn't necessary . I must compliment your entire staff for professionalism as well as a phenomenal attitude . Anne deserves a raise !
Disappointed in price when looking at the room 228 view other then that I will be returning to pick my daughter up from the Tuck program in a few weeks and would definitely consider staying at the Inn again.
There was nothing to dislike. Location was very close to Dartmouth campus, made it easy to help our daughter to pack up dorm room. Will definitely be back to stay.
My room location, looked out onto the Hopkins Center roof, no view.
Location, staff, food and rooms
I like to sleep with window open for fresh air vs. ac. Street too noise as college youth leave the bars - finally had to shut the window to sleep
The most cooperative staff!
Too expensive for what amounts to a rural location.
Could use a larger business center but otherwise excellent.
Worst service possible at the reception and also at the car valet. The parking fee was incredibly high and it took them 1 hour to get us our car. Worse than that, after the Second time we complained (there was a 15 minute line to complin!) the manager said "too bad, this happens when the hotel is full".
Spacious and well-designed room, nice amenities, friendly staff, great location.
The location is ideal for tourists: close to a metro station and the Galleria.
During my visit there were construction works next to the hotel.
The comfort and cleanliness
great proximity to school great room great staff great restaurant
Beautiful Inn Well decorated right in the middle of town
They just did a remodel here and the outcome is superb. Facilities are spectacular...the restaurant -- Pine -- serves delicious and reasonably priced meals.
It was a beautiful place and I liked the layout of my room. It was very comfortable and nicely appointed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a wonderful dinner at Pine, the in-house restaurant and would love to go back.
I had excellent service while I was there and enjoyed the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. Everyone that I met was accommodating and warm. This is a great hospitality team.
Nothing that was important. Decor in the bedroom was not the same style as bathroom. I would have preferred the same clean modern lines in the furniture and linens.
The Pine Restaurant is great!
The "modernization" has cost the Inn a lot of its charm.
One poor fancy dinner.Went elsewhere for 2nd dinner. No historical centre in a no longer historic hotel. No staff member knew anything about Dartmouth or history of town.
Excellent service and the staff was exceptional.
service and food..
couldn't park my own car
The comfort of the bedroom. But a carpet which clashed with the general décor. Location, very convenient for Dartmouth and the Hood. The breakfast was good.
The bathroom without a bath! The shower was great but it should have had one "grab" bar. Elderly people sometimes require this aid. The wash basin was too shallow. The food in the restaurant was not up to the standard required for a first class hotel. There is not a quiet lounge for residents, instead one has to sit in the reception area. We preferred the Hannover as it used to be. During this our 17th trip to the USA we have stayed in more comfortable hotels with better food at a considerably lower price. The Hannover is now like an up-market conference hotel.
