Location, staff, historic ambiente, exellen breakfast
My room was overlooking next building , so no view and was bit smaller than expected
Great hotel with very efficient and proffesional staff!! Rooms on the small side but comfortable! Love the turndown and classical music awaiting you after a long day! Location couldnt be better! Just love this charming hotel
Attention to detail & friendliness & professionalism o staff
Mini bar over priced - not much room in fridge for own water & no coffee/tea making facilities
Loved the location. The staff was fabulous !!!
Would have liked to have had two queen beds. And a coffee maker would have been a great addition !
The hotel has old world charm. The staff are welcoming and caring. We only stay here when we visit DC.. Location is excellent.
The restaurant is pretty pricey for breakfast with not a lot of inexpensive choices. The food is very good, just expensive.
This hotel is 5star all the way
I loved their motto ...and their staff was the epitome of this. We travelled to the Hay's Adams after a long flight and drive down from NY. We were greeted like a returning friend from the moment we arrived. We were checked in promptly with Jared ( unsure If I spelt correctly) from the Netherlands. He was friendly and quick with the check-in. From this moment our stay was amazing, we booked a tour through our wonderful concierge desk, and Eric and his counter parts were amazing. They went above and beyond. They assisted us with booked restaurants, with great recommendations. We also dinned in-room, which was exceptional with promptness and the way the food was presented. This was what you would expect and we were happy. We also dined at the Lafayette and this was a wonderful relaxed Sunday breakfast. Nothing was rushed and we overlooked Lafayette Park. The room was extra-ordinarily comfortable, we left our home for a home away from home. The best part was the bed. I now still have moments where I wished we were back there. Housekeeping would turn on our bose sound system to the cd we would have playing...when they turned down our room at night. Please accept our thanks for such a memorable start to our 5 week family vacation. Jeffrey & Audrey Anderson
Beautiful hotel, although definately not for leisure trip - more for business
No chill areas, food and drinks really overpriced even vs high end local restaurants, the cleaning staff broke my make up and instead of letting me know just left it and put it back tog, when I picked up collapsed in hands. Informed mgt and they sent a chocolate - not even offered to replace item.
Location and we were upgraded to a suite. Although we weren't in the room much it was great. Loved Off the Record as well as breakfast
Very relaxing and accomodsting. Wonderful with our littlie yorkie dog. Even put a candy on his dog dish. The turn down service was a wonderful treat when we returned to the room after a long day of sightseeing.
The location is superb, the staff outstanding :friendly, helpful , without being overbearing. The facilities have an old-style luxury charm that is becoming too rare in nowaday's marble-and-copper top hotels .
Loved the location.
Hotel is a bit old, wood structure. The insulation of the walls and floors is poor. You can hear everything from the room above and next to you.
The old world elegance of the service, the rooms, the dining, and the bar.
decor staff restaurants location
The location and the staff of the Hay-Adams was excellent. Our room was very comfortable as I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a high quality hotel. A++
Rooms were beautiful Staff were very helpful and kind Location, as soon as you walked out the door you could view the White House. Walking distance to Sites were good.
No Coffee maker in the room for a first quick cup of coffee. Hotel food was a little pricey.
Loved everything about the hotel facilty but it was the people that made my stay special
The location, staff, food, cocktails were all fantastic
Traditional ambience and service, view of the White House a bonus
The bathroom was a tad bijou but functional. The breakfast was very formal and way too expensive with slow... service.
Service, Breakfast--indeed, all the Food was great, Location, Staff, Room, WiFi, Small Size, Newspapers, Off the Record Pub/Bar
A/C in room could have worked better; no views from some rooms; main dining room was being remodeled
I like the location
Price is too high
Excellent old school hotel staff were charming and very accommodating
ROBERT LUTES AND DAVID CROMWELL LOVED EVERYTHING...THE ENTIRE STAFF MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE
