Walking from hotel to Staples center is not very romantic.... during the evening.
It has a Beautiful lobby; the cost of parking was fair and location of lot is good; and the chance to stay at a historical location is nice.
Once you leave the lobby the feel of the hotel went from historical to dated (old/ out dated). In the room the curtains wouldn't close completely and the A/C only blew out warm or hot air. The bathroom reminded me of a high school locker room.
Good location and value
Location to Staples Center was not bad. It was central to all of the areas I needed to be in.
Staff seemed poorly trained. I had several issues with my bill and there was a lot of construction going on.
It was cheap I guess..
The place was the worst hotel I've stayed in. Terrible location and the rooms were horrible. There's no chance I would return.
adjustable price, very comfortable place to use subway and bus, the bell boy Melvin was so nice and kind
They said they have the overall heating service in the hotel but it was freezing inside. I felt like the elevator was unsafe it was twisted.
Cheap and clean, in downtown.
Close to Metro & other transit
The staff are nice
Reasonable location, friendly and helpful staff, good gym.
The corridor on level 5 had an odd smokey smell. Breakfast really needs some green leaf options.
I did enjoy the cheap room rates and close proximity to the subway which made for easy travels to Hollywood/universal studios
The bed was a little too hard for my liking.
Dusty with broken things
The staff, location and the facilities i the room for the charge they've charged and they do not tell u prior to booking there is refurbishment going on which only makes it worse when u are trying to get a good night sleep
Reasonable price helpful staff, great location.
Partying all night in the rooms and on the street. Dirty carpets so bad that we kept our shoes on. Pubic hair on floor in bathroom. If we had not been so tired we would have walked out.
staff comfort of bed location
If you want to be close to Financial District, then not bad place to stay at. Nice staff and no issues with anything (booking, payment, parking, check in/out..).
Cleanliness and comfort are not the strongest aspect of that place (stained bed sheets, not really vacuumed carpet..). Don't raise your hopes up for this price. Luckily staying for two nights only and spending entire days outside, but wouldn't make it the third night, have I had stayed this long.
Service was terrible.
My wife and I have stayed at this hotel previously as we regularly get away to Los Angeles for the weekend. The location is good and the hotel has some charm.
This particular trip the room we got was not good. It as smaller than previous rooms and the carpet was stained and the room was in need of paint. The TV was not in a place where you could see it from the bed. Everything was dingy and looked really old. They do have nicer rooms (same price) and that's what we got on previous trips but this time it was not good. I guess it just depends on the luck of the draw.
proximity to main center and downtown.
major renovations being done , no food service open after breakfast. still have old rooms with extremely small bathrooms. no space to relax, or extra chairs to sit on to relax as not big enough room .
Very good location to the Metro Station, and bus stop just in front of the Hote, wich its very good for easy trasnportation, so if you are looking forward to work in Down Town LA, this is the right place, just that too far away from the beach or for example Santa Monica
The breakfast it`s too poor
the worst hotels I have ever seen
Location close to train line and downtown. area may not be ideal for some though. Breakfast was good though plain. Staff were wonderful. Good value for a cheap central hotel.
Shower was tiny. Had to climb over the toilet to shut the bathroom door. Would be much easier if the door opened outward.
good location, near the downtown, good price
Very small bathrooms Breakfast expensive for the quality delivered
