The staff were friendly and helpful.
No good sound insulation I could not sleep very well one night as I could hear the next door room people talking, They werenot shouting, just talking constantly. I do not know if it has double glazing , it does not seem so as I could hear the lorrys early in the morning The internet is slow and unreliable from the rooms a bit better from the lobby
Very dangerous "Hip Bath"
Got a ride to the staples center provided by the hotel. Which they charged 15 dollars to take us about 1.5 miles.
Confused my reservation with my cousins. It took us 45 minutes to check in. Causing them to run my credit card twice. Our ac was not functioning properly. Very uncomfortable. To top it off paid 14$ For parking.
Really run-down room--dingy carpet with holes and snags, chipped, mismatched furniture that looked like it had been purchased at a yard sale, the main light was a floor lamp that didn't even work. Super noisy construction woke me up at 8am. Drilling sounded like a foghorn, and constant banging. Just a really depressing place to be.
The beds were very comfortable and the lobby staff very polite. Breakfast was on par with most business hotels.
The carpet and bathroom floors were filthy. I asked the front desk to have the room vacuumed and still there was stuff on the carpet. Surfaces were visibly covered with a layer of powdered plaster as if recent repairs were done with no cleanup. The hot water faucet in the bathroom sink was screwed shut.
The desk room is beatifull
In one room, 1102 the bathroom is very small
Wifi is not bad...
Is expensive if you compare it with other hotels or motels with better situation, better service and more professionals. The rooms are really old and and is plenty of white dust falling from the roof...when you wake up your clothes are full of this white powder. The parking is paid,(14$ each night) when a lot of hotels/motels have free parking... Ah, and they have a "grab and go" breakfast which contains a yogurt, and they give us a fork to eat the yogurt because they runed out of spoons... We will never comeback
The building is old, decoration is old, shower is not working, toilet is not working. Very bad experience to live in this hotel.
Everything is bad, except location.
Central to all locations
Air contrition inch in foyer
The lobby was fantastic
Carpet in room was torn
Nice historical lobby. Great location. Nearby garage - though for extra money.
A lamp was broken in the room. We asked to replace it and they did it next day. Some of the toiletries like soap could be replace daily.
The only 2 good things I can say about the Mayfair, was the location, It was close to the local subway line, there was also a great selection for breakfast buffet.
I found when I arrived, the staff were quite rude, they weren't friendly, also make sure they don't check there phones when mandating the front desk, (this doesn't look good), I found my room to be quite dirty, I found a long hair in the fridge, the curtains were dirty with (? dark stains), there were X2 Iron marks on the carpet, I seen with previous comments, that you are renovating, I couldn't see any renovating, for the amount people pay to stay, I think by now you can fix the place, maybe then you might get some great feedback.
Being lost in L.A.
The carpet on my room was wet at certain places. It smelled weird.
Toilet too small you have to put one leg inside one leg out side to enter hard to sit on WC because close to the wall and door no space even to move your legs .. shower try to small good for kids only you cant stand ..
I liked concierges - the most friendly people in the hotel. Walking distance to downtown LA, which is good, but you don't want walk there in the night.
People at the front desk were not very nice. My room was quite old with marks on walls and carpets. Shower didn't mix cold and hot water properly and did not have proper pressure. I communicated the issue to the front desk - nothing changed. The bathroom was very small.. very. I think they should charge less for such quality.
I like the building and the historic connection. The room was good size with a decent bathroom. Good comfort and overall good value
The wifi did not not really work in the room which was frustrating. The carpet was old and looked bit dirty. The parking was and issue as hotel does not have parking facilities.
Nothing much Basic amenities like Coffee maker , fridge and microwave were present in the room.
Rooms are antique showpieces. They still have CRT TV , that too kept inside a wooden cupboard. Location is not very great , mainly industrial area. Overall, the property gave out an old and jaded experience rather than a historic one.
The washroom was the worst, and our bed wasn't made up.
Location. Good staff.
Not bad hotel
They gave us separate beds. Breakfast was no included The walls between rooms are very thin, so noisy neighbors was not so pretty!
