Good location , Old School Charm and very warm welcome at recepition. Spa shop and facilities looked great and everyone we came into contact with made us feel very welcome. I did not realise until we checked out the normal room rate how good a deal we got through this site. Room excellent with two double beds. Did not like is to strong a word . But we would have loved to have had Kettle and coffee plunger in room. However the breakfast menu and in room service was excellent and they took care of everything we needed. Dry cleaning service expensive , so dropped anything we needed into local laundry. |

The service was excellent, the bedroom was very spacious, loved the sofa & club chair ,loved the piano lounge at the end of the evening & breakfast was great. We will definitely stay again ! The bathroom was just fair. |

Only the friendliness of the emplyees at the spa, not the friendliness (since they were not) of the actual hotel staff, as well as water, tea and complimentary poolside fruit Yes. Staff were pretentious. Doorman, (1 in partucular, elderly , balck man, was very grunpy and mislead us that we couldn't street park, so that we might valet park instead, the outrageous $40 per night parking fee for hotel guests, (that would dissuade anyone from staying there), the fact that the rooms were outdated and not so modern, even though the website tries to represent it as modern and luxurious, not sound-proof, no breakfast, even though most hotels offer this, far from all central locations |

extremely comfortable beds wifi is $10 per day, night receptionist was not friendly (commented on our appearance while we just arrived from a disaster flight), restaurant is very expensive for the little amount of food you get. |

Excellent service, huge rooms, situated on top of Nob Hill, over viewing San Francisco, hotel offers free limousine service, daily newspaper. Internet use does cost additonal $ 10/ day. At a rate of $ 320 / night for the standard room this should be included. |

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel because it was quiet and boasts large rooms in a city that is known for smaller hotel rooms. It also has a lovely indoor pool and spa and sauna facilities. The housekeeping staff is the gem of the entire staff and were efficient and constantly helpful. I felt that when I checked in I was not properly introduced to the hotel. She never explained where our room or where the pool and spa was located. I also asked for a possible upgrade and showed her a room that interested me on the website and was told that every room is different and she didn't know which room that was and that it would be substantially more to upgrade since I already got a deal. It was clear she didn't want to bother much since I didn't pay the standard rate. I would never pay the standard rate that they publish on their website. I have stayed in far better hotels for less than what this hotel charges outside of booking.com. I will stay again because I liked the old world charm and the location but I use booking.com. |

Lovely room with excellent view across the bay. The spa was very relaxing. Location was handy for central SF. Good area served by several fine restaurants. Dining room - one waiter at breakfast was incredibly rude and unhelpful - have written complaint to manager. We never went back to the restaurant. |

Really enjoyed the spa where the service was excellent. The bedrooms (we had 3) were all huge. Good views particularly on the park side from our 8th floor location. Nice courtesy car. This is a unique old hotel with character and somewhat faded grandeur. However, I felt it was in desperate need of a makeover. The rooms are very large and our deluxe on the park side was nicely presented although poorly insulated from voices and TV noise coming from the next room. Other family members were in standard rooms - also large but a little shabby - their shower rooms were tiny compared to the bedroom space. One evening both lifts broke down (they are very old!). Breakfast in the restaurant was pricey and not up to the standard I would expect from a hotel in this category. |

The location is superb. SF's magnificent Grace Cathedral, across the street, where we attended Christmas Eve concert. Our 11th floor room had 2 lg. picture windows that opened for fresh air and had city views. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. Good size flat screen TV and comfortable bedding. The night staff polished my shoes! The hotel is across from Huntington Park - perfect for morning or late afternoon exercise or coffee. Powell St. Cable Car, 2 blocks away, for ride up-the- hill from Union Square and continues on to Fisherman's Wharf. California St. Cable Car out the front door. Nob Hill is quiet and beautiful. The Huntington Hotel is in a great SF "where everything is happening" location. Upon checking-in the front desk placed us in a Standard room. Our reservation stated a Deluxe room. We were moved to a Deluxe, however, I'd prefer that sort of thing didn't happen. The bathroom was tiny. The Huntington does not have in-room coffee service so we had to make AM runs for java. I'd stayed at the Huntington when the rooms were decorated in glorious colors - peach, blues, yellows. Very San Francisco! It's been redone in neutrals - browns, greys, blacks which look commercial and ho-hum. |
