friendly and helpful staff my room, on the 12th floor, right next to the elevator that could not be changed. Noisy, and loud while trying to sleep |

I would highly recommend this hotel. It was lovely and the rooms were well furnished and large. The rooms were provided with nice toiletries and had a turn down service in the evening. The spa was a great addition it had a fantastic balcony with wonderful views and complimentary herbal tea facility. Well located next door to a tram line. It has an intimate bar with good drinks and food. I got a great deal on the hotel by booking early through late rooms $125 a night. WiFi was charged I would expect a hotel of this calibre to provide it for free. I find the very prominent tipping culture uncomfortable, this is present in the hotel as it is throughout much of America. |

Excellent location on the top of the hill, beautiful view towards the city and sea. Just a few blocks from a cable car stop, 5 min walk to Union Square. Excellent service! Highly recommended. |

The helpfulness of the staff, size of the room, complete quiet of the room (no corridor noises or other room noise could be heard at all!). That I could probably never afford it if I hadn't received such a great discount via booking.com! |

Old fashioned luxury and charm. We enjoyed a deluxe corner room with great views over the city. The room was luxurious and spotlessly clean. Excellent value for money given the good price we got on the internet. The spa is lovely too. We didn't have treatments but used the steam, room, gym and the view at no extra cost. |

The hotel has a lovely elegant boutique feel to it. The rooms were cleaned regularly and well, the staff were polite and efficient but unobtrusive. The location was excellent. We enjoyed the breakfasts in the hotel as the menu was great and and the service was good. The breakfast prices were a little pricey, but then San Fran is an expensive city! |

The relaxing, friendly atmoshere and lovely warm rooms. A facility to make a cup of coffee in the room would have been nice. |

The location of the hotel was perfect. We were able to walk everywhere we needed to go to sightsee and get acquanted with the heart of San Francisco. The hotel rooms were amazing (much bigger and spacious that I had anticipated). The maid service for the room was the best I have encountered (and I have stayed at lots of 5 star rated Hotels all over the world). Our room was clean, modern and had an incredible view of the city. Parking...Too expensive but I guess this is expected for San Francisco. |

The location was excellent in that it occupied the top of Nob Hill along with the Intercontinental and Fairmont, and provided easy access to cable-car (although for two a taxi is cheaper) and trolley bus routes. Is within easy walking distance of Union Square, Russian Hill, Lombard St and Fisherman's Wharf, provided that hilss are not too much of an obstacle! The hotel provided a touch of conservative excellence and the main restaurant and bar-food were always of a high standard. No tea- or coffee-making in the room. |

Beautiful hotel. Great spa, staff, and location. Bedroom was smaller than expected and bed needed to be turned. |

Th ehotel fulfilled our expectations. We loved the service, from the helpful concierge, the reception staff to the entrance staff. The courtesy car was a real bonus, and the Spa was magnificent. We enjoyed the 2 rooms we were allocated - especially the luxury room (we had 2 visits within a fortnight). And last but not least, the bar and restaurant had lovely olde world charm - a delight. We would certainly visit again and we definitely recommend the hotel, especially to couples like us. |

Our room was wonderful, bed was comfy, facilities were great, staff were professional. The hotel emanated class and distinction and was, in our opinion, well worth the money. Definitely the best hotel in the Nob Hill area. I don't think hotels charging this kind of room rate should be charging $10 for Wi-Fi. If a $50 a night motel is giving it away for free, then hotels as distinguished and world class as The Huntington should be giving it away for free. Its a small thing and the on-site business centre covered our needs but had I been staying for business, it would have been inadequate. |

We were upgraded to a roomy suite with wonderful views. The staff was friendly. Spacious and quiet. Great location. We received a very good rate, otherwise we would not have made this choice, but we were delighted with the suite and huge living room. No coffee maker in room. Rather drab/colorless decor, but clean and comfortable. Parking is expensive (we used the lot at the Masonic to save money). Small TVs (although we didn't care about that--never turned it on). |

We enjoyed the relaxed comfort, the quality of the room and staff and the fact that althought it was on Nob Hill --- next to very lovely, but stuffy hotels ----- we enjoy the luxury without the pretentiousness. The food at the Big 4 was exception --- as was the service and staff. I tried to think of something --- but have no complaints. You have sold me and I will tell everyone I know where to stay next time they are in the City. |

Hotel staff with a big smile ready to serve you. Superb housekeeping! Even in the evening your beautiful and luxury room will be serviced again! Cleanliness absolutely great! Awsome city view from the roomwindows. Relax at the bar with a very attentive and kind bartender. Breakfast not included, but for affordable prices available in the restaurant, and of a high quality. Wonderful location with the cable-car right in front of the door. We would certainly return to this georgious hotel! |
