The Huntington Hotel and Nob Hill Spa

Good location , Old School Charm and very warm welcome at recepition. Spa shop and facilities looked great and everyone we came into contact with made us feel very welcome. I did not realise until we checked out the normal room rate how good a deal we got through this site. Room excellent with two double beds.

Did not like is to strong a word . But we would have loved to have had Kettle and coffee plunger in room. However the breakfast menu and in room service was excellent and they took care of everything we needed. Dry cleaning service expensive , so dropped anything we needed into local laundry.

The service was excellent, the bedroom was very spacious, loved the sofa & club chair ,loved the piano lounge at the end of the evening & breakfast was great. We will definitely stay again !

lovely recently renovated rooms and baths, very chic design, great desk. vibrant bar scene with cocktail pianist and great staff.

Shower hot/cold water knob did not function. Hotel could not immediately repair it, but were good enough to relocate us to another room

Only the friendliness of the emplyees at the spa, not the friendliness (since they were not) of the actual hotel staff, as well as water, tea and complimentary poolside fruit

Yes. Staff were pretentious. Doorman, (1 in partucular, elderly , balck man, was very grunpy and mislead us that we couldn't street park, so that we might valet park instead, the outrageous $40 per night parking fee for hotel guests, (that would dissuade anyone from staying there), the fact that the rooms were outdated and not so modern, even though the website tries to represent it as modern and luxurious, not sound-proof, no breakfast, even though most hotels offer this, far from all central locations

wifi is $10 per day, night receptionist was not friendly (commented on our appearance while we just arrived from a disaster flight), restaurant is very expensive for the little amount of food you get.

We enjoyed the facilities, staff, service and location. It was definitely value for money.

Excellent service, huge rooms, situated on top of Nob Hill, over viewing San Francisco, hotel offers free limousine service, daily newspaper.

Internet use does cost additonal $ 10/ day. At a rate of $ 320 / night for the standard room this should be included.

The location was great and the view from the high floor

Staff were friendly, accommodating, made an effort to assist clients. Also, lost/found dept. assisted with a situation very promptly.

Bathroom was slightly smaller than anticipated but very clean.

The location is superb. SF's magnificent Grace Cathedral, across the street, where we attended Christmas Eve concert. Our 11th floor room had 2 lg. picture windows that opened for fresh air and had city views. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. Good size flat screen TV and comfortable bedding. The night staff polished my shoes! The hotel is across from Huntington Park - perfect for morning or late afternoon exercise or coffee. Powell St. Cable Car, 2 blocks away, for ride up-the- hill from Union Square and continues on to Fisherman's Wharf. California St. Cable Car out the front door. Nob Hill is quiet and beautiful. The Huntington Hotel is in a great SF "where everything is happening" location.

Upon checking-in the front desk placed us in a Standard room. Our reservation stated a Deluxe room. We were moved to a Deluxe, however, I'd prefer that sort of thing didn't happen. The bathroom was tiny. The Huntington does not have in-room coffee service so we had to make AM runs for java. I'd stayed at the Huntington when the rooms were decorated in glorious colors - peach, blues, yellows. Very San Francisco! It's been redone in neutrals - browns, greys, blacks which look commercial and ho-hum.
