WiFi should be included in the room price.
We loved the location and the quirky boutique style; helpful cheery staff and light airy room.
Well appointed rooms, wonderful bar with great lemon drops, nice Sunday brunch.
The spa facilities were great.
Couldn't take a bath as the stopper didn't work. Air conditioning never got cool enough.
My room was quiet and clean. Enjoyed the big 4 restaurant for dinner.
I went onto booking.com and we found a great deal. On checkout they added on local tax which was never stated when I booked the room. Disappointed as it was an extra $80!
Great location downtown and the staff were exceedingly helpful.
Small and intimate
I found the attitude of some of the staff very abrupt and unpleasant to deal with. The concierge Chris was very helpful and the limousine driver very helpful and informative. It' was very unwelcoming
The beds were like sleeping in a cloud so comfortable
Huge room in a crowded city. Friendly staff. Very comfortable. Great bar.
The building is a little noisy; you can hear other people taking showers because of the pipes. The hotel is located at the top of a hill do you need to walk up steep hills on all sides to access the hotel.
Nice decor.Great spa facilities. Nice bathroom products.
There was very little cupboard space AC was very noisy and probably needs an upgrade Parking fees of $56 pd is quite pricey
Nice sized room and comfy bed
Not a bad experience but would have liked free wi-fi in room.
This hotel was bought by a Singapore investment co. and is impeccably run like a European boutique hotel The rooms are large. We were upgraded to a suite but peeked into a couple of regular rooms which are large, have a sitting area etc. The spa is lovely, and although in the basement, has a terrace that overlooks part of the SF skyline. The amenities are great - fruit, trail mix etc and the Zen room is relaxing. The location is perfect. California Street houses the Fairmont and the Mark Hopkins. The Huntington is just a block from them. The personnel are very helpful, from the doorman, the concierge and the front desk. Stay here. you won't regret it.
WHY does a hotel charge you a different rate for each night you stay? I paid $120 more on Thursday than for Wed. Really??
Nob Hill location.
Can't think of anything...
The fact that it was an old with history type hotel and renovated 5 star!
huge room, great staff, location, views, restaurant, everything
Nothing to eat for late arrivals-ha! Our flights from our island always arrive late.
The people are super! Glenn Villmarin is the best Doorman ever!! James and Ulysses were helpful, too. Waitress Julie was darling, helpful, and a good communicator! John was good, too. We enjoyed our meals and the ambience was perfect for us.
The cable car is passing just in front - which is convenient but noisy; no one gives you info that you can have daily pass or 3-day or 6-day pass for the public transport; main restaurant - too dark fro may taste but excellent food!
Very nice spacious room, coffee facility, friendly staff, nice view, extremely comfortable beds, we loved it! Very friendly and informative concierges.
They charged us 14.95 a day for Wi-fi
Paid Wi Fi and bar prices
Comfortable beds, location and staff
Cable car stop outside hotel. Excellent Spa facilities Nob Hill Spa.
The Wi-fi fees should go away. Most everyone just uses their phone. I would use my laptop for the keyboard convenience...but I won't pay $15 to do so...I'd rather use it for tip money.
If the room included free wifi, I wouldn't have had anything negative to say.
Perfect location on the top of San Fran in front of Washington Square. Great views from the room. Staff are genuine, funny, professional and always helpful without being intrusive. Concierge desk was great for local advice. Lovely old building with unique and quirky decoration. Rooms are a good size and have nice high ceilings. Restaurant was great. Only had brunch there one morning, but should have had dinner there also I think. San Fran is a great city, but The Scarlet Huntington made my stay even better. A real home away from home.
We were triple upgraded to a suite on Valentines wknd - such a lovely surprise and treat. The adults only spa looking out over the city and bay is a slice of heaven.
We had a wonderful stay here. The spa is excellent. All the staff are very accommodating. The room was outstanding. We tried the restaurant for breakfast and had a very good meal there. We highly recommend the hotel and look forward to staying there again in the future.
The staff were caring. The room was excellent. We stayed for four nights and felt extremely comfortable.
