The hotel is very warm and welcoming. There is nothing that the staff wouldn't do for you if you asked. The location is great. Lots of great places to eat in walking distance plus the El Gaucho restaurant itself. And the free wine at night!
That we couldn't stay longer!
People have always been helpful with luggage and not having to carry it up the flight of stair to the cozy lobby area.
You used to serve coffee, tea and Macrina pastries with fresh fruit in the morning. That would be so great a way to start the day again.
Personality of room, complimentary happy hour, location
Loud outside and no control of room temperature
Sandy at the front reception is amazing! We loved the area-plenty of food options! The complimentary glass of wine at night by the fireplace was a nice touch. It's really value for money!
Close to many attractions and restaurants including the one below the hotel which made an awesome steak for two!
I thought it was going to cost around $200 not $300 for the room with the information I got before I arrived!
Location to attractions, staff very accomodating.
Music from the lower Resturant, stairs to 2nd floor hotel but staff helped with luggage.
Excellent and friendly helpful Staff, newspaper, free coffee, wine. Prime location, quiet room, everything within walking distance.
No elevator for the elderly or disabled.
I booked The Inn at El Gaucho for my boyfriends birthday get away and like the looks of the Inn for it's character. We loved our room so much we passed on going out! It reminded me of Italy and the staff was amazing as well! The sitting area in our room was fantastic, the bed plush and comfy. We were welcomed into our room with a hand written welcome note and music playing for us. Where else to you have that! We enjoyed a glass of the complimentary wine they offer and nestled in. We even had a late check out scheduled to enjoy the comforts of our room longer. Very romantic stay as well. Perfect for a couples night out. It's walking distance to Pike Place and great shops along the way. Our room was very quiet and barely hear any outside noise until late morning. I would highly recommend The Inn to anyone and we decided it's our place to stay when we are getting away for a night or 2 in Seattle.
Not enough information on local transportation options.
Free wine each evening, great location near some excellent bars and restaurants, very good shower.
Bed was a little uncomfortable
I took advantage of an off season discount to get a great deal on this hotel. The location is great, and it would be ideal for a romantic evening downtown.
Valet parking is a bit pricey, but there are pay lots just down the street. Some less athletic travelers may be put off by the lack of elevator.
Location Small size Staff
Very nice rooms, very helpful staff and the location is fantastic in the middle of Belltown near lots of really good pubs and restaurants.
The only downside was the WiFi. The signal is quite weak, and sometimes cuts out entirely in some parts of the room depending on the device. I stayed in 3 rooms for the duration of my stay there and it was equally bad in all of them. The bandwidth was also really bad, even in the lobby. No big deal if you're just using it to occasionally look something up, but if I'd needed to do work from the hotel I wouldn't have been very pleased with it.
The room, the reception area, the 24 hr availability of coffee and tea, the wine tasting, the location.
If you have mobility issues, check withe the Inn. It is a fair climb up the stairs to the 2nd level where all the rooms are. No issue for us.
Friendly staff and a good nights sleep on a comfortable sealy bed. Nice toiletries and a large room. Good location not far from the Space Needle and some good bars, we would defiantly stay again.
Cool decor and style
No elevator. Had to drag own bags up two flights of stairs. TV in rooms was impossible to operate with two sets of controls, despite getting help from staff twice. Seemed like a ghost town.
Wine happy hour Large rooms with cool furnishings Lots of good dinner options in area
No workout room
We wanted somewhere handy for the early morning ferry to Victoria, and stumbled across this rare Fine Restaurant With Rooms. Complimentary wine by the check-in set the tone for a great evening and super stopover. Room was delightful, bed very comfortable - faultless.
Everything was great: the room was big and comfy, the complimentary cookies and wine in the evening, a very good Wi-Fi connection. It's located at 10 minutes walking distance from the Space Needle and very close to both the city center and the waterfront.
It has no elevator (but it's on the 1st floor, so there aren't so many stairs).
the location, comfort, cleanliness, different older building with few rooms. Located within walking distance of a handful of small restuarants and pubs about a mile from Pike's Market and the shopping district. Really different atmosphere than typical luxury hotels.
Had to take stairs up a flight and a half to get to the hotel. No elevators. My internet connection was rather weak. But front desk allowed me to use their main computer to print out boarding passes.
The room was large with sofa, the bed was excellent very quiet room although a restaurant is directly below the hotel all sights such as pike street, waterfront, space needle were within walking distance
no elevator for luggage badly signposted entrance Rooms need renovation no room service Staff sometimes rude to younger people
large room clean good wifi connection
stairs to go up to the reception, especially when you arrive with the luggage and don't know there is a service lift....
The staff was especially helpful, restaurant referrals and entertainment suggestions were spot on. The staff has their act together a rare experience ! The room was very comfortable. Located near many bars, restaurants,Pikes Market and the Space. Needle all walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel.
Spacious Rooms Great coffee every morning Free wine every evening Excellent hosts/hostesses
Everything was great!
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was large, very clean and very comfortable. The location was excellent within walking distance of the market, harbour and main shopping district and with various restaurants also close by. We would definitely stay there again if Seattle. Far better than the reviews lead you to believe.
The only negative were the steep stairs to reception as the hotel is located a floor above the restaurant. We are mobile however the hotel would not have been suitable to someone with difficulties climbing stairs. Luckily the staff happily took our luggage up in the service elevator as we would not have been able to carry it up the stairs.
