Location Small size Staff
Very nice rooms, very helpful staff and the location is fantastic in the middle of Belltown near lots of really good pubs and restaurants.
The only downside was the WiFi. The signal is quite weak, and sometimes cuts out entirely in some parts of the room depending on the device. I stayed in 3 rooms for the duration of my stay there and it was equally bad in all of them. The bandwidth was also really bad, even in the lobby. No big deal if you're just using it to occasionally look something up, but if I'd needed to do work from the hotel I wouldn't have been very pleased with it.
The room, the reception area, the 24 hr availability of coffee and tea, the wine tasting, the location.
If you have mobility issues, check withe the Inn. It is a fair climb up the stairs to the 2nd level where all the rooms are. No issue for us.
Friendly staff and a good nights sleep on a comfortable sealy bed. Nice toiletries and a large room. Good location not far from the Space Needle and some good bars, we would defiantly stay again.
Cool decor and style
No elevator. Had to drag own bags up two flights of stairs. TV in rooms was impossible to operate with two sets of controls, despite getting help from staff twice. Seemed like a ghost town.
Wine happy hour Large rooms with cool furnishings Lots of good dinner options in area
No workout room
We wanted somewhere handy for the early morning ferry to Victoria, and stumbled across this rare Fine Restaurant With Rooms. Complimentary wine by the check-in set the tone for a great evening and super stopover. Room was delightful, bed very comfortable - faultless.
Everything was great: the room was big and comfy, the complimentary cookies and wine in the evening, a very good Wi-Fi connection. It's located at 10 minutes walking distance from the Space Needle and very close to both the city center and the waterfront.
It has no elevator (but it's on the 1st floor, so there aren't so many stairs).
the location, comfort, cleanliness, different older building with few rooms. Located within walking distance of a handful of small restuarants and pubs about a mile from Pike's Market and the shopping district. Really different atmosphere than typical luxury hotels.
Had to take stairs up a flight and a half to get to the hotel. No elevators. My internet connection was rather weak. But front desk allowed me to use their main computer to print out boarding passes.
The room was large with sofa, the bed was excellent very quiet room although a restaurant is directly below the hotel all sights such as pike street, waterfront, space needle were within walking distance
no elevator for luggage badly signposted entrance Rooms need renovation no room service Staff sometimes rude to younger people
large room clean good wifi connection
stairs to go up to the reception, especially when you arrive with the luggage and don't know there is a service lift....
The staff was especially helpful, restaurant referrals and entertainment suggestions were spot on. The staff has their act together a rare experience ! The room was very comfortable. Located near many bars, restaurants,Pikes Market and the Space. Needle all walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel.
Spacious Rooms Great coffee every morning Free wine every evening Excellent hosts/hostesses
Everything was great!
The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was large, very clean and very comfortable. The location was excellent within walking distance of the market, harbour and main shopping district and with various restaurants also close by. We would definitely stay there again if Seattle. Far better than the reviews lead you to believe.
The only negative were the steep stairs to reception as the hotel is located a floor above the restaurant. We are mobile however the hotel would not have been suitable to someone with difficulties climbing stairs. Luckily the staff happily took our luggage up in the service elevator as we would not have been able to carry it up the stairs.
Loved the decor, easy valet parking and excellent staff. The complementary wine was nice, too. Our room was spacious and comfortable.
Helpful staff, good downtown location, and funky decor. Room was nice and big and bed was super comfortable.
TV didn't work so well but that was probably just a battery in the remote issue.
Convenient, friendly, clean and comfortable
No counter space in bathroom. Room right on the street, a little noisy and a little seedy looking
Location is perfectly in restaurant district. Spacy rooms. Complimentary glass of wine every day. Very friendly receptionists.
Small bathroom. There is no lift, but you can be assisted with your luggage.
Location was excellent
Just the most comfortable bed of any hotel I've ever stayed at no matter how many stars. Extremely personal touch and attention to detail throughout. Great coffee and cookies in the room.
Drivers didn't always know where it was, just a minor inconvenience.
The adage that you get what you pay for holds true. The Inn at El Gaucho was on the expensive side (I got a rate of $279 for a queen bed with a sofa/table area) for the budget I was on for my business trip. But this place was terrific and the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Plus, free wine.
Not a thing. Don't change it.
We have chosen this hotel for the location which is close to our home and we were having family visiting with us at the time. So we needed to find a place just for the nights.
We have got a very poor impression of this hotel, and would certainly never recommend it to anyone else. To start with - they withheld the whole amount for the weekly stay + incidentals (almost a 100 dollars per night) right away at our arrival - the explanation from the manager came as it it was their policy and they would not change it for us. So much for the hospitality and politeness. This policy we never read about, it was never presented to us either in written form or orally. The late evening staff lady would not even greet us while were passing by her desk. The whole atmosphere is gloomy and uncomfortable. The room was extremely small with literally nothing in it except for the bed and a tiny sofa, very old and worn out. They claim that all their rooms are suites but this is far less than a suite - just a desk inside a closet. We never knew this can be called a suite?! The clothes' closet literally had a few hangers and very little space. The noise coming from the room across the hall, making love, etc. was overwhelming... When we were leaving the hotel, our only unanimous feeling was NEVER AGAIN.
My wife and I love to walk the areas we visit. This was a great central location in Seattle close to major attractions, awesome restaurants, and the waterfront. The staff was nice and very helpful. A shout out to Sandy. Would definitely stay again.
Not much, if there is one small issue it is the stairs leading up to the inn after a long day of walking Seattle hills.
Everything was excellent! If you had a rating higher than excellent I would give it to the staff. John and the girls couldn't do enough to please us. Rooms are large and have every amenity possible. Less than a ten minute walk to all points of interest. From the cookies on arrival to the 2 hours of complimentary wine at night, everything is first class!
I liked everything.
Decor a bit dark otherwise good
