It would have been better to have known which building our booking was for. We had stayed there before and had had a room at the lake- we were unhappily surprised to be across the road, although the accomodation was fine. The choice should be clear in the booking process.
The location is beautiful but cleanliness is lacking. Would have preferred a cheap motel for what I paid.
Tv stations had no reference guide. No HBO or DVD in room.
Boring room, dark with a view of the carpark. No breakfast included in a high price. Smell of chlorine in the hotel from the pool.
Lovely well - maintained grounds Proximity to lake Excellent restaurants and great-value shopping inside the complex Complimentary coffee, chocolate ,cider Post office next door
Location and the staff
Hotel is a little dated
The furniture in the rooms seemed old and outdated.
staff was excellent, had great ideas on restaurants, places to visit, etc.
rugs in Mill Falls need to be replaced or at least a good cleaning, terrible stains throughout the building.
The carpeting in the elevator and hallways was filthy. Absolutely gross.
Giuseppe's restaurant was excellent. The food was very good and the staff very pleasant. Very good value for money
Friendly staff, very comfy and well equipped rooms, good access to restaurants and beautiful views of the lake
Beds and position close to all amenities.
location and the little village it's in as well as close proximity to water docks. I enjoyed the entry solarium as a place to have coffee, although the wicker furniture isn't very comfortable. Restaurants within walking distance. The bed was sufficiently comfortable.
elevator transmission banged every trip. Bathroom too small and no Jacuzzi, just a dark, outdated tub surround. Only one set of complimentary toiletries. Snowy tv reception. Horribly loud fog horn at 11:00 and 12:00 midnight from local ferry.Indoor pool tiny and jacuzzi in pool area had insufficient steps with a 3 foot drop! consierge inefficient and slow to help. no coffee maker in room. torn sheet hems. not enough square footage when sofa bed is opened. low ceilings. no central air so common areas and halls were oppressively humid and hot. In room a/c very loud. Decor needs updating. No beaches, even though on the water. The solarium entry way used to advertise, is the only really pretty area. Found the room depressing and lacking beauty and spaciousness expected on a vacation.
Location and most facilities good
The staff were friendly and informative. The room was lovely and spacious. I liked the little touches of jigsaws and boardgames in the hallways
For the size of the room the bathroom was small and the shower needed updating. More information in the room of Meredith and things to do there other than restaurants would be helpful
Beautiful inn! Love the shops and restaurants!
We felt the hotel was beautiful and look forward to returning again!
The location and the access to stores and resturaunts.
complimentary breakfast was no offered.
Inn, lobby, fireplace, shops, restaurants, café...
Only one thing. The room's window needs work
very comfortable accommodations and great location!
A unique building. A nice change from square rooms with predictable furnishings.
Some hall carpets need to be renewed. Rooms were fine.
When I first tried to inquire/make a reservation, I got an answering machine. The website's information was limited. I am not a marketing expert, but this initial contact was very poorly handled. When I called back, I was given incorrect information about restaurant availability and thus was unable to get a suitable reservation. We had stayed there as a family over Thanksgiving years before and it was quite nice. I was utterly and completely dis-appointed this visit. We were given what I suspect was the worst room in the establishment. Consequently, we left Thanksgiving morning. It certainly discourages us and all those with whom we speak from patronizing either the restaurants or other facilities in the future. This experience certainly does not reflect well on the nh hospitality and tourism trade. I have travelled extensively and lived in nh for more than 30 years and I am appalled that such a nice location is run so poorly.
I liked the appearance and décor. The simplicity of the layout of the facility including marketplace and restaurants. It was an added plus to be have more than one entrance to the Mill Falls Inn. Having coffee, tea , cider and cocoa available in the lobby at all times was excellent.
The Waterfall café for breakfast was always busy , overcrowded with having to wait for seating was a drag. If you could buy muffins, bagels and other small breakfast items in or near the lobby would have been helpful.
Don't accept a room which overlooks the mill race - so noisy. Too expensive for what it is
The view and convenience of restaurants
Very shoddy maintenance. Completed comment card with details and also verbally described to staff on duty when we checked out.
