Comfortable and helpful staff
The staff was friendly and very helpful. They remembered me when I returned the next week. Hotel was an older small Hotel but very clean and nice. One block from bus stops. A variety of Restaurants within a couple of blocks.
There was nothing that I did not like.
Hotel had character and was situated in a nice and convenient area of the city.
They did not have any facilities at the hotel to have breakfast, we could not control the temperature in the room so we were always cold despite asking to have the problem corrected.
This classy vintage hotel is on a beautiful tree-lined street away from the noisy city center but still within walking distance and with several places to eat nearby.
It's a bit of a climb up a steep hill from downtown.
I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. It is close to the center and to the convention center. It is simple and a bit old, but clean and the personnel is very nice. Nice simple hotel
Not so much to say...the only thing the wifi signal could be better. Unfortunately there is no restaurant in the hotel (so no breakfast) but you can ask for a room service.
After a three hour trip we arrived prior to the check in time;without being asked the desk clerk checked and had a room available. We were able to check in rest and freshen up prior to the baseball game.
The quiet atmosphere and comfortable room.
Excellent location since my wife had tests at the hospital. I loved that they were attached.
I am not used to paying for parking, but I guess that is common in the large cities. The elevator was not working on the second day.
Cheap and decent for a one night quick stay!
Wifi was just ok. Also, our room was next to the stairs which made lots of noise. Bathroom was in fair condition.
Clean, spacious room, excellent service, very close (10min walk downhill) to downtown
Since this is a hotel connected to a hospital, you have to mind that there is the ER nearby.
room layout, able to sleep with windows open. quick elevator service location was close to attractions, and restaurants..
hallway smelled musty.
Quiet location, beautiful old building!
Lack of parking
Good price Nice, helpful staff Location
Rooms got a little bit stuffy Some of the pillows smelled
view on Seattle skyline from 8th floor is simply stunning, just 10 minutes walk from everything (light rail, columbia center, public market...)
rooms need some renovation work
Great location and nice sized rooms. Room service is very efficient and cheap! Albeit the food selection is very simple (not fancy) but good.
Housekeeping needed to be told daily to replace essentials. If I forgot to ask for it I went without it.
The staff was very helpful, the rooms were comfortable and the inn was conveniently located.
The facility, although not without charm, was old and would benefit from updating. A thorough cleaning around the baseboards would also help.
comfy bed quietness cleanliness location pleasant environment pleasant staff price!
It was fine with us, but if you want to do any walking while here, the hilly location requires a lot of climbing and can be rough if not conditioned to it.
Walking distance to pike market, safeco field, restaurants etc. Great staff.
Parking was about $25 a day and that was one of the cheapest lots. No air conditioning in the room.
Great location. Close enough to some of the attractions, stores, Pike Place (could walk to these places...remember the steep hills in Seattle). Clean and comfortable; Good value for the money. Front desk staff and restaurant staff were very nice. Very nice patio adjacent to the casual restaurant for "al fresco" dining during the week.
There was a strange smell in the bathroom. After the water in the toilet filled, the flapper valve continued to drip (in the toilet fill tank), so we heard the drip the entire time we were in the room. The room was cool enough and the outside temps weren't too hot, which was great bec. there is no AC.
Staff was really nice and let us check in early since our room was available rather than telling us to wait until 4pm.
Although the hotel was clean the room was rather small and so it's a bit on the pricy side considering we were not even there for the weekend.
The purpose of using this hotel is to have easy access to Virginia Mason Hospital which you don't list as a reason for travel. Most people that stay here need to be close to the hospital. What I liked about the property is it was clean.
It is so outdated. The positives are that it's clean with easy access to the hospital. However, it's so outdated that you can see ducts on the ceiling and the tracking for electrical work. Beware: you must pay $24 per night parking(on a different propert) and you cannot get your car in and out to do things. Once parked, you are stuck there if you wish to keep your spot. Very inconvenient since this hotel's main clientele is most likely ill and are visiting Virginia Mason Hospital. Had to walk my mom a few blacks with her cane for a procedure at the hospital instead if drop her off using the car so we didn't lose our parking spot. It just didn't make sense.
Proximity to downtown.
Noisy ventilation system. Receiving a friendly greeting by the desk clerks would have been nice for guests returning to the hotel each time. It isn't that hard to smile and say hello.
convenience to clinics and hospital
Seems to have lost its European feeling charm! The paint was peeling and carpet was spotted. There is a wonderful courtyard but apparently no bar or restaurant in the evening so I guess courtyard is for sitting only
Convenient location to downtown. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are air conditioned. Flat screen TV and the bed was comfy.
The building is very old but clean. The bathroom was small and only had a handheld shower which is ridiculous in my opinion. They could at least mount the nozzle on tile so you don't have to hold it yourself. Furniture looks like they got it a yard sale circa 1970s. Price is way too high for these amenities or lack thereof. Prepare for 20% tax on your bill to boot.
The beds were comfortable and it was nice having the cafe downstairs.
The bathroom fixtures and lighting were very dated. The fan in the bathroom was noisy and the lighting was poor. My son insisted I keep the door to the bathroom closed because it gave him "the creeps". The bathtub fit the style of the Inn, but it needs to be refinished because it doesn't appear clean, although it probably was. There was no iron/ironing board, which was a little disappointing. Also, the room smelled musty and like some sort of medicine or cleanser.
