Proximity to the hospital facility, availability of cafeteria, etc. in hospital. The price was excellent for lodging in the city. The staff were courteous and helpful.
Cold! We were there during an extreme cold spell, and the aging systems could not keep the temperature comfortable. We did receive a space heater, but it took 3 hrs. to get it.
Staff was friendly and room was quaint.
no outlets in the bathroom except on right next to the door with rhe lightswitches.
Location, cost, staff, cleanliness. I was a little concerned due to some negative reviews, but I found all to be unfounded. The room was clean and facilities all in working order. Have stayed in other seattle locations that are 3x more money, but would choose the Inn over them next visit.
There was nothing I found to be lacking. It is an older building but to me that added charm.
Value for money compared to other hotels in the area, clean, and very helpful staff. Location good for downtown but a real trek up the hill each time and no local places to eat of any real quality.
photos on website do not reflect the interior which is old and tired at the time of my stay there was no place to have breakfast or eve meal as this area was being redecorated. This is not a place older people should stay as the hill climb to and from the center is steep.
A short walk (maybe 2/5 mile) from the Grand Hyatt, where my business took place. The Inn is an older establishment, but well-maintained. It has a homey look and feel that just made me feel comfortable. I'll check the Inn first for availability on my next trip to this area.
Nothing bad to say about this place.
The Inn is literally attached to the VM hospital which was why we were there. SO convenient! Our room was very clean and comfortable. Walking distance to cafes, Starbucks, McDonalds. Taxis are nearly always available.
There was no microwave or frig in the room so if you have a patient on a clear liquid diet there is no place to store the jello for example or to heat up soup. Also at the time of our stay, the little cafeteria was closed due to renovations.
The room was clean. Service was good. History if building cool! Recommend this hotel. Except all they had available for a rooms were two twin beds. Comfy, but husband and wife slept separately. Clean place!
Limited parking. Went for business stayed another night for personal. 9 ft sprinter van (company van) wouldn't fit in garage, limited street parking, hard to find a place to park. Also walk to the pier is crazy steep walking.
Liked the fact that I could take an elevator from the hotel to the 4th floor in the Virginia Mason hospital. The staff was excellent, room was very nice.
Heard ambulances all night so didn't get a good night sleep. Hotel is on a very steep hill. Don't take your car as there is not a lot of parking for the amount of people if your going to the hospital.
-Room was clean -Staff was friendly and knew places that we could check out on our first time in Seattle -beds were comfortable and rooms were spacious -not sure if it's a good or bad thing, but the hotel is next door to a hospital
-location of hotel is away from everything and up a big hill which we didn't know and carried all our luggage up there.
The price was right and the staff very eager to please.
No air conditioning and the windows only open 4 inches! It was a steep climb for about 10 blocks uphill! Had to go across the street to use hotel computers. View from our window: patients getting cared for in a hospital
Friendly people Super comfy bed.... Good prices for food but limited choices ( eg only hard boiled, scrambled or hard poached eggs) because hotel served by hospital kitchen No restaurant in hotel itself but can order from kitchen 7 AM to 11 PM Quiet Clean 15 min walk down to the wharf but coming back straight uphill
On a steep hill so a challenge getting back on foot Food choices limited
I appreciate the architecture of the old building and the quality of the bed.
great location. my wife was having surgery done. being from out of town, once we got to vm inn there was no more stresing out about having to drive in Seattle traffic. Also, the in room dinging was very reasonably priced and pretty darn good.
Quiet, spacious room, roof terrace, corner cafe and convenience store nearby
A bit far from downtown, slats on Venetian blinds in bathroom, slow elevator, breakfast bar closed, entrance steps
closeness to shops and restaurants.
water glasses were not replaced with clean ones. coffee pot was not cleaned up.
close and convenient to VM and Swedish
Really showings its age - just like me! Not airconditioned - too warm much of the summer
Comfortable and helpful staff
The staff was friendly and very helpful. They remembered me when I returned the next week. Hotel was an older small Hotel but very clean and nice. One block from bus stops. A variety of Restaurants within a couple of blocks.
There was nothing that I did not like.
Hotel had character and was situated in a nice and convenient area of the city.
They did not have any facilities at the hotel to have breakfast, we could not control the temperature in the room so we were always cold despite asking to have the problem corrected.
This classy vintage hotel is on a beautiful tree-lined street away from the noisy city center but still within walking distance and with several places to eat nearby.
It's a bit of a climb up a steep hill from downtown.
I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. It is close to the center and to the convention center. It is simple and a bit old, but clean and the personnel is very nice. Nice simple hotel
Not so much to say...the only thing the wifi signal could be better. Unfortunately there is no restaurant in the hotel (so no breakfast) but you can ask for a room service.
After a three hour trip we arrived prior to the check in time;without being asked the desk clerk checked and had a room available. We were able to check in rest and freshen up prior to the baseball game.
The quiet atmosphere and comfortable room.
Excellent location since my wife had tests at the hospital. I loved that they were attached.
I am not used to paying for parking, but I guess that is common in the large cities. The elevator was not working on the second day.
Cheap and decent for a one night quick stay!
Wifi was just ok. Also, our room was next to the stairs which made lots of noise. Bathroom was in fair condition.
