The Inn at Virginia Mason (弗吉尼亚梅森酒店)  

location,super friendly staff, old world charm

No tea/coffee facilities in room but availablein lobby. Hot water tasted of coffee as it came from a coffee pump.

Clean, tasteful, comfortable, affordable, quiet, and extremely convenient to the hospital, where my husband was having tests. The blackout curtains were much appreciated. Very pleasant place to stay in the heart of the city.

No coffee maker in the room. WiFi connection unreliable. Short-sheeted bed and no hand/face towels the second day. Also, we missed the former ambiance and excellent food at the Rhododendron Room (restaurant) which we had enjoyed so much on former stays.

Staff are ALL extremely friendly, from front desk to cleaning staff. P.S. This inn (and I guess the inn across the street) seems to belong to the hospital - Virginia Mason.

The only ice machine was not working. No parking for the facility and has to find a spot in nearby hospital parking for $20-25/day. No coffee maker in the room. The tv is small and very old and picture quality is poor. The only good thing is the location close to Virginia Mason Hospital.

The Inn is a comfortable, convenient, and clean hotel.

It is an older hotel, which is fine, except that a few conveniences are missing or outdated--no coffee maker in the room, but coffee is available in the lobby. A 'problem' is that electrical outlets are old and loose, making it difficult to recharge telephone, laptop, etc. also, I could not find a hairdryer in the room or ironing board.

Good room, good location.

A bunch of hospital patients were around, which detracted slightly from the atmosphere.

It was hard to find any coffee shops open on Sunday mornings within walking distance

The staff was very friendly and willing to assist me with directions. Great location and near downtown.

Parking and dining was poor. Room was basic and could be updated (especially television). Only issue was the view from my room stared right into patient hospital room which was a bit depressing.

The price was very good. The room was comfortable. The location is great.

My room was a bit warm and the air conditioner did not seem to respond to the thermostat. Fortunately, it was cool outside and I could open a window.

It was right beside the check-in for surgery at Virginia Mason Hospital. Very convenient for an early morning scheduled surgery.

It was too hot in the room!!

We were there because of health issues, and needed to visit Virginia Mason Hospital. So of course it's very convenient for that.

Ambulance sirens, but of course that goes with the territory.

Convenience Dining Room Comfortable beds

The bathroom was crowded and lacked room to place personal items on.

Very relaxed atmosphere. Amiable, helpful staff members. Great food at reasonable city prices in the adjoining restaurant. Huge room. Although I've read that others had difficulties with the sirens, I did not hear any during the two nights I spent there. Late check-out time (also late check-in time, but the staff was very flexible on this and actually let us check in about 4 hours early because a room was available). Close to everything (just a few blocks walk to downtown). Great smelling lotion in the room! Tasteful decoration scheme.

At the top of a very steep hill (though, in a city full of really steep hills, what do you expect?) When doing an early morning (3am) check out, it was necessary to go across the street to the Baroness to check out. Once we figured out this was what we needed to do it was smooth sailing, but there weren't any indicators on the desk to tell us to do so - we had to figure it out on our own.

Quiet neighbourhood, spacious room, friendly staff,

Hotel restaurant is closed during the weekend. There are no shops and restaurants nearby, but we do not care walking and the public transportation is perfect. There is no coffie maker in the room

My husband was in Virginia Mason hospital; it was fine and very close to VM

The ac was inadequate. The noise from adjacent hospital equipment was really loud. Bath needs updating.

I loved the old-style charm. The desk clerk seemed harried and needed help, but she shouldered through the multi-tasking with bravado. We loved the magnificent restaurant. The terrace. The people who were customers and those who staffed the hotel. The old-timey look of the bathroom. We felt at peace there, at home.

I didn't like not having a shuttle to go to the ballgame, so in the future we won't be staying at Va. Mason, sad for us to say. When we stayed at Holliday Inn by the Needle the shuttle provided was very comforting, as we are older and waiting for taxis is taxing! Also, the bus route is easier to understand from the "Needle" location. I would love to stay at Va Mason each time we're in Seattle, so it's a shame we won't be doing it again.
