Location, staff, cleanliness, quiet
The staff was very friendly and helpful! The concierge gave us excellent tips for our stay in NYC. The hotel is perfect located, just a few steps from Timesquare in the theater district.
Excellent location Clean Friendly staff Good Equipment (fitness) Quality of the furnitures Cosy Historic building
Rooms a bit dark Size of the rooms (usual in NY)
Really good first impression. Doorman, front desk staff excellent and very friendly.
Could they valet park/pickup your automobile. Had to go to across the street garage myself.
everyone was soooo friendly and helpful !!! cant say enough !! love the turn down and chocolate ! location was superb ! highly recommend and they did provide a cot so 3 people could share a room--which is very rare for a 4 star hotel in the city !!!
Friendly, helpful and professional staff. Hotel was clean and we'll maintained. Added touches like complimentary coffee and fruit infused water throughout the day in the lobby. Location was GREAT- close to time square and Central Park!
Not just a great location, it’s all about the atmosphere and employees. The Iroquois has it ALL – charm, customer service, and all of the above. Charm! I loved EVERYTHING!! (Where should I begin?)! First, I love the fresh peaches waiting for us at the front desk – delicious and HEALTHY!! Second, our hotel room had a DOOR BELL! –OMG! The list goes on, on and on.. our morning paper was delivered in a cute cloth bag.. and the concierge was AWESOME! Thank you Vanessa and Ezra! You guys rock…. After Veronica’s shift, she escorted us on the dreadful NYC subway to Harlem (to Sylvia’s Soul Food—yummy)… definitely above and beyond her call of duty. And thank you Ezra!! He was the bomb! Ezra informed us of all the Times Square hot spots, soul food joints, and must sees! And the BEDS and bedding... oh la la Ia! The best sleep EVER! I would definitely recommend and STAY Iroquois again!! This was great getaway..
This hotel had all the small touches that makes a hotel really stand out. The staff was particularly friendly and helpful. Honestly can say the best hotel experience I've had in NY (and I've had many).
Room is small, but this is typical for the area. They do well with the space they have.
staff - saw that we had a young child and gave us a goodie bag. It was my husband's birthday and they gave him some chocolates/bottle of wine. Very nice!!
The beds were very small - feet hanging off the bed. Rooms very small.
staff, cleanliness, location
Staff very helpful and accommodating of all requests. Rooms very comfortable. Great Wifi. Location is perfect.
Location, location, location. Very clean, friendly staff, would definitely go back!
Very small bathroom and room, no view
This hotel is in a great location, near most midtown attractions but 1/2 a block off the beaten path to allow for privacy and quiet retreat. Our room was spotless and well appointed! The staff were superb and willing to accommodate our every need with such enthusiasm.
If I had to say something here, the only thing I could say is that the room was a comfortable, cozy place for two. Any more people and we would have been tripping on each other. However, that is pretty common for hotels in NYC!
Strawberries at check-in, great ambiance, hot coffee available in the lobby in the mornings that changes into ice-cold cucumber or fruit water in the afternoons. The staff had gone out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. Very comfortable beds and soft towels. Very tasty albeit expensive breakfast.
Lifts are slow and not air conditioned; somewhat pricey; was told that credit card is only for incidentals but then whole amount for room was blocked from it – staff were very friendly, however and gave us free breakfast for the whole two-week stay to apologise!
Very professional, friendly ,helpful staff... Ms.Vanessa ,Ms.Jasmine, Mr. Ezrra, Mr.Carlo, Mr.Lenny (driver) excellent customer service exhibited by each.
This hotel gives a feeling of quality as soon as you enter reception. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The concierge Vanessa was particularly knowledgable and advised on best places to eat breakfast and great tips on getting around the city. We liked the complimentary New York Times each morning on our Rooney door handle, a nice touch.
Perhaps a little pricey, but location just off Times Square would dictate the higher price. Also for a family, the room was a little small for the money, with 3 suit cases, it was a little difficult to put things, with only a tiny amount of hanging space for the 3 of us. You would realistically have to live out of your case. Overall I would recommend this hotel.
Location and a little bit of history and tradition.
Breakfast should always be included in the price.
Excellent hotel overall!!!
The location was good situated on a quieter street within easy walking distance to Times Square.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night before our late flight to Europe the next day. The room was tiny. Thankfully we did not suffer from street noise but the air conditioning system was extremely noisy, stopping and starting at frequent 20 minute intervals throughout the night. Even with the use of ear plugs the noise was extreme. Next morning, feeling very sleep deprived and frustrated, I reported the problem to the front desk manager. He had the maintenance engineer look at it and confirmed "yes, it was the air conditioner"....duh! In consideration of the no sleep fact, I asked if we could have an extension to our late check out time. The answer was "no" the room had to be made ready for the next guests. I feel so sorry for the guests staying in this room knowing that the problem was not fixed.
Room. No window
Service - everyone from doorman to conceirge were outstanding Location - 1.5 blocks from Times Square without the crowds and noise Bar - perfect for afternnoon or after theatre drinks, small plates. Bathroom - by NYC standards, pretty decent size Hotel features exercise room with sauna and were well appointed; many small areas to sit and relax other than in your room; small, speak-easy style cocktail bar; valet parking; newspaper daily
noisy air conditioner
Great location, 20 minute walk to Central Park and although close to busy Times Square the Iroquois is in a quieter end of the street. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Very comfortable beds, clean fresh bed linen. Bathroom very clean, plenty of hot water. We had a great stay at the Iroquois.
Room looked onto fire escape and so was a little dark but we were out all day so it didn't matter too much.
- location, location, location; - service was very friendly; - rooms are really small, but it's NY;
- view on a deadwall
Very accommodating staff.
Very dark room. The typical "windowless closet" of the mid-range New York hotel is made worse by dim lights and drab color palette.
Perfect location for theatre, dining, and sightseeing. Room was adequate size and very quiet with windows on the alley side, but the downside was, there was no view and it was very dark. Bathroom was large and very clean. Free coffee in the lobby every morning. Staff was very kind and helpful.
Carpet in the room seemed quite old and tired--could use replacement.
