Everyone very helpful and informative of the local area.
Everything. Rick (owner) was great and the whole house is amazing. Location perfect
Nothing to complain
Delicious breakfast, room is clean and warm, Charisse is very nice, we have a great time there.
Free Wifi. Free parking. Vine and aperitif. The staff were very helpful with everything
Price. You could hear everything that was said and done in house. Too much sweet for breakfast
The xmas decorariions, rhe food
Small, noisy bed
We loved just about everything at the jabberwock Inn. The staff, food, and bed in particular were fantastic.
Can't think of anything.
Afternoon drinks and savouries, cookies and milk at bedtime, brandy in the room, super breakfasts, great host and hostess, quirkiness.
It was just great - nothing not to like about this superb B & B
Very cosy and quaint house with great hospitality. Excellent breakfast prepared by two lovely ladies. Horsdevours and wine served in the afternoon.
The house was in a residential area with a long steep hike to and from the beach area. The rooms are very tiny and we were so cramped that we couldn't even unpack for the two days we stayed. The walls are paper thin so we felt we had to always whisper to not disturb the guests beside us. We could hear them yawn. When we arrived we knew this wasn't for us, and asked if we could cancel our second night (we wanted a better location like Carmel) but were told we would be responsible for the cost. No air central conditioning.
VERY competent host & hostess! The food, snacks & appetizers were yummy Good Location to access restaurants & local sights...
Decor Breakfast Old world charm
Pricey! Room too small and stuffy
The location was great for the price. Had an excellent breakfast and the staff was very friendly.
House was nice, staff friendly
Bit over priced, breakfast menu rather strange.
Everything about this place is great. Friendly staff who really made you feel welcome. Lovely breakfast, great atmosphere, would highly recommend.
Every single detail in this hotel. The staff is incredible!
The owners are fab, really helpful & friendly. Breakfasts are amazing. There are loads of quirky Lewis carol pieces in the house to give it a nice theme. Rooms are old but maintained very well so have lots of character. Close to town.
Gorgeous unusual house, friendly new owners, nibbles, wine and great breakfast, complimentary drinks fridge in hall, social and relaxed atmosphere, lots of games, puzzles and things to explore, gorgeous views, totally in love with the jabberwock!
I didn't like the fact that we had to leave!
From our arrival and a great welcome to the early evening drinks and canapés with other guests this is the high lite of our trip. A stunning property run by the nicest of families who genuinely try to exceed your expectations and succeed at every level. Comfortable well appointed rooms, spacious public spaces, and yes the slightly quirky "Jaberwock" theme make this place a delight. Centrally located just 5 minutes walk to Cannery Row and the Aquarium. Oh, and a breakfast to die for. We stayed for only two nights but wished it was longer this place is a must, ignore the chain hotels that abound and stay here.
Nothing to dislike it was perfect
Great atmosphere, most friendly staff, awesome breakfast.
There is no tv and it seems like there was no bathroom in the room so they made an arrengement to fit a shower and a toilet there. It is not great, but definitelly not bad enough to prevent anybody from staying there.
I enjoyed our whole stay we were so well looked after and the owners were just great great service from Lauren it's a must
Always wonderful to stay at a place that has interesting guests. Jabberwock obviously attracts a diverse clientele, very enjoyable.
No reading material on it's history.
Breakfast was exceptionsl as were the little touches such as wine and cookies in the afternoon. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.
The friendliness of the owner and his family
The Jabberwock is kept by extremely friendly and hospitable people. It is superbly located, near the ocean and the centre of Monterey, yet in a quiet residential neighbourhood. Breakfast and afternoon snacks were of excellent quality and taste. We would love to come back here and would certainly recommend this to anyone visiting this area!
Had a wonderful stay in June. The hosts were great, helped with tickets, restaurants, anything we needed. Made you feel like they wanted you there. Great happy hour and breakfast.
Breakfasts, available info on local activities, friendly staff and owners
Bathroom door was hard to close and very loud.
